Health Benefits of Organic Agriculture

Organic food contributes to better health through reduced pesticide exposure for all and increased nutritional quality. In order to understand the importance of eating organic food from the perspective of toxic pesticide contamination, we need to look at the whole picture—from the farmworkers who do the valuable work of growing food, to the waterways from which we drink, the air we breathe, and the food we eat. Organic food can feed us and keep us healthy without producing the toxic effects of chemical agriculture.

NEW EVIDENCE ABOUT THE DANGERS OF MONSANTO’S ROUNDUP

Some European governments have already begun taking action against one of these co-formulants, a chemical known as polyethoxylated tallowamine, or POEA, which is used in Monsanto’s Roundup Classic and Roundup Original formulations, among other weed killers, to aid in penetrating the waxy surface of plants.

Many observers have argued that these subsidies should be reduced or eliminated altogether, since they encourage decisions that may have poor consequences for the environment and society as a whole. One example: downstream water pollution from fertilizer runoff.

Perinatal Exposure to Glufosinate Ammonium Herbicide Impairs Neurogenesis and Neuroblast Migration through Cytoskeleton Destabilization - Published: 09 August 2016

In summary, our work demonstrates for the first time the deleterious effect of perinatal exposure to GLA results in abnormal brain development, both at the cellular and molecular levels, providing a putative structural explanation for GLA-induced ASD-like phenotypes in mice. Our data not only identify the SVZ as a novel target for environmental toxicants, in particular in case of early exposure to low doses but also pave the way for unraveling the molecular events that orchestrate the effect of GLA on cell cytoskeleton.

Genetic Fallacy: How Monsanto Silences Scientific Dissent - 2013

That a former Monsanto scientist should find himself in charge of a specially-created post at the very journal that published two landmark studies questioning the safety of that company's products should surprise no one who is aware of the Monsanto revolving door. This door is responsible for literally dozens of Monsanto officials, lobbyists and consultants finding themselves in positions of authority in the government bodies that are supposedly there to regulate the company and its actions.

Pesticide Resistant Whitefly in U.S. Points to Need for Organic Management Strategies - (Beyond Pesticides, August 22, 2016)

An invasive whitefly that is resistant to pesticides has been found outdoors in the U.S. for the first time, prompting a public discussion hosted by the University of Florida Extension Miami-Dade in Homestead, Florida on July 29. And while the fears amongst fruit and vegetable growers over crop devastation are valid, little attention has been paid to the viability and effectiveness of organic and cultural management practices in preventing and managing whiteflies. Meanwhile, chemical intensive agriculture, which is dependent on insecticides to control whiteflies, is harming the same beneficial insects that act as natural predators to the whitefly.

AGROPOLY - A handful of corporations control world food production, by Berne Declaration (DB) & EcoNexus; September 2013 (18 pages)

The world’s human population and food consumption are growing – does this mean the number of companies involved in the food sector is growing as well? The opposite is true: big corporations buy smaller companies and thus increase their market share and power. Hence, companies can dictate prices, terms and conditions and, increasingly, the political framework. Much of what we consume in the North is being produced more cheaply in the Global South. The profits are made by only a few, predominantly Northern, companies. The big losers are the plantation workers and small farmers in the South, as they are the weakest links in the “value chain”. In no other section of the population is hunger so widespread. More and more ecosystems are being degraded and destroyed.

Vandana Shiva on the Problem with Genetically-Modified Seeds - Bill Moyers

Bill talks to scientist and philosopher Vandana Shiva, who's become a rock star in the global battle over genetically modified seeds. These seeds -- considered "intellectual property" by the big companies who own the patents -- are globally marketed to monopolize food production and profits. Opponents challenge the safety of genetically modified seeds, claiming they also harm the environment, are more costly, and leave local farmers deep in debt as well as dependent on suppliers. Shiva, who founded a movement in India to promote native seeds, links genetic tinkering to problems in our ecology, economy, and humanity, and sees this as the latest battleground in the war on Planet Earth.

All three are full of chemicals with about as much actual nutritional value as most commercial junk food, and these drinks are meant to be the nutritional lifeline for people who are extremely sick.

Ensure is owned by Abbott Nutrition, one of the worst examples of a Big Food corporation masquerading as a healthy alternative you’ll ever see. The company has deep ties to the medical industry and as such you can find their products in just about every hospital today, which is bad news for millions of patients who are just trying to get healthier.

Comments/Visuals by Christian Bogner

In order to activate a brain cell, you need two "neurotransmitters", basically requiring two keys to open a door. One of those transmitters is glycine, the other glutamate. Both produced by your body, hence they are not necessarily required in your diet, hence their are considered non-essential. In Stephanie Seneff's paper "The Possible Link between Autism and Glyphosate Acting as Glycine Mimetic - A Review of Evidence from the Literature with Analysis", you can see how deep the rabbithole really goes. Roundup contains glyphosate, which has a chemical name of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine (!!). So glyphosate is a "non-human' chemical that is one of the two keys.

The other key is glutamine. Incredible chemical. Again, not needed in the diet. We produce it. MSG contains it. It's glutamine bound to salt as a carrier. It is the only amino acid that tastes like something. Food industry became powerful when introduced in the 50s. Since this is the other key next to glyphosate, neurons start firing without the concious mind controlling it. You are basically killing the mind. Brain inflammation is the result. ADHD and autism one of the consequences, but that mostly due to heavy extra glutamate in the MMR vaccine. Glutamate accccelerates brain growth because it is so stimulating to neuroactivation. But it is truly toxic after all. Thousands of studies demonstrate toxicity.

If glufosinate now is introduced and we see small brains, then it would be a neuronal blocker, rather then the 2nd key that activated proliferation.

Visually: This would be normal. Your own chemicals required for activation of the brain cell.

A diet high in GMOs would be visually representable like this, where we have glyphosate acting like your own glycine.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...e=3&theater

Visually, I see ADHD as simply being extra glutamate from a diet rich in MSG and other derivatives of glutamic acid.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...e=3&theater

Visually, autism is just a mega dose of glutamate, eg. 0.4mg of L-glutamate bypassing the liver by being injected via MMR vaccine programs

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...e=3&theater

A study from Argentina showed that when frog and chicken embryos were injected with glyphosate, they had horrific head and brain malformations. 30,000 physicians went to protest GMO cropping on Argentina's streets recently. The principal researcher on glyphosate's toxic effects has meanwhile died (hmmmm...). Here is his paper:

Millions Spent, No One Served: Who Is to Blame for the Failure of GMO Golden Rice?

In their weekly column Schaffer and Ray (2016) reported about a meeting with an employee of the US State Department and discussing the benefits of GM crops for farmers and consumers in the Global South and whether or not farmers would have to pay a technology fee and purchase, for example, the golden rice seed each year. The State Department representative stated that the companies that own the patents would be willing to make the golden rice (or virus-resistant cassava) available at no cost provided that the countries adopted US patent regimes to protect other GM crops. From a policy perspective, such a ‘humanitarian’ license agreement would thereby present a highly profitable transaction, a means to ‘encourage’ developing countries that often do not even have patent laws of their own to accept the US patent regime and so ensure the profits of US companies and patent holders in perpetuity. In corporate agriculture it seems, nothing is really for free.
