There are over a thousand chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects and reproductive harm. Yet looking at most of them and looking at scientific studies that state otherwise the chemicals are still listed. Even the CDC has a statement that what California used for studies about these chemicals are extremely flawed in their science. If there is good science, the sample group is of proper size, the results are reproducible, and so on then we can acknowledge it as a fact but just because some special interest group produced a paper and got it published does not make it fact. All my years working with statistics I know that statistics can be melded anyway you want to prove your point whether or not it is true.
The case I always tell students about is that 75% of stats are fake as reported by the Society of American Beer Consumers of 1787.
Meanwhile the Society of Wine Consumers state that 1 out of 4 are correct.
The Society of Bourbon Consumers state that 100% of both of those Societies are full of BS and Alcohol.
For the betterment of everyone please make sure that the sources for your claims are reputable and that the claims are legitimate. Otherwise you end up with lists like California where your hamburger has to have a warning on it after you cook it.

The Town or Seneca Falls needs to put the new host agreement with Seneca Meadows to a Vote with the people of the Town of Seneca Falls. This is really becoming Foolish.I think that once and for all that the Board is a little too Full of themselves.
I for one am getting sick of the BS going on between the Board members.Plus the BS that is going on in the Social Media. Do we really need to have everything posted in the News Papers. We did not need to hire a Chief of Police who does not live here in town and allow him to drive a Police car to and from his home. Our town is loosing people because out TAXES are way too HIGH and many people can not afford their property Taxes now! How will they be able to afford them when this new Budget gets approved? With this being say keep in mind that other companies are just as much Fault for the Toxic Waste as is the Seneca Meadows.

So the high taxes in Seneca Falls must be driving people out of the entire State of New York. Taxes and the high cost of living, plus the lack of good paying jobs has been driving people out of New York since the 1970s. But if it makes you feel better blame the Seneca Falls Town Board. The " BRAIN DRAIN " in action !

Many residents also feel, let's vote on the Host agreement, no matter the outcome, let's move on.

The original Goulds Pumps (before ITT), Slyvania and others polluted the air, water & the ground, for years. However, in the '70s, with regulations things began to change. In today's world (1990's to present day) we know air, water & ground pollution, is bad for the environment & our health.

Taxes are an issue, for everyone. We need to get back to basics. We live in a depressed area. We need a police force, water & sewer, trash pick-up, roads & bridges maintained, etc. We don't need museums, high price apartment buildings, super large convenience stores/gas.

Many residents also see that two members of the board & the town attorney are a "Trio", and not for the good of the town. It's so obvious.

But, high price apartment buildings, super large convenience stores/gas.
these and other similar commercial properties add to the tax base and provide a huge part of the town's revenue. Spoken like a true socialist.

We cant't have museums. That would be culture.
We can't have good housing. Only low cost slums.
We can't have good shopping. This town doesn't warrant it.

It is what many residents also see. It is so obvious.

You don't know what that word means. It's not a catchall for anyone you disagree with.

You do realize you are comparing private enterprise with public ( government )infrastructure don't you.
I do believe that the people of Seneca Falls are beginning to realize that the "TRIO" who have self serving interests and don't care about the town are Vic, Dave and Doug. Does anyone realize how many politicians have been against the landfill and for how long ? That landfill has been a political "TOOL" since 1953, but back then politicians were just looking to get "PAID OFF". Today you have a mix of paid off opponents and supporters both trying to scare the public. The fools stay and fight the smart people move.
