Can anyone recommend a person in Seneca county to do this?

We have two large trees that have ruined the drain field.

Have to remove the trees and put new field in.

Thanks!

You will probably need too different contractors.

Make sure they both have insurance.

For the septic I like Welch Construction, 607-532-4673. He may not turn out to be the cheapest but you'll get a professional job.

Be careful of awarding these jobs to the cheapest guy that comes along.
Also consult county codes or health dept before starting septic job. Then you know what they expect and can price shop accordingly.

Thank you . Yes its kinda scary... and expensive whoever does it I am finding..

I think I have to have a engineer or someone from the county come over first and say how it is to be done... how much is THAT gonna cost? OMG

I fixed that bad spot in the line going out to drain field myself last year, YUCK.. bought some time but now the tree roots are winning.

Try Damon Nicholson in Fayette- 315 549-7028 He has done some work for us, and we were very pleased with the work completed.

thanks for the suggestions! we just got shot down on a equity line with one bank we use.. will try another and try a few other things.. it HAS to be done. Its not like it can wait forever.. the system is over 50 years old.

In my dreams I find a person to do it as a donation to the non profit and they get the tax deduction \:\) I can dream!

I'm not sure if it's still available, but I seem to remember hearing about a product that would kill roots in the pipes.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Yes, thanks guys, I did apply that just recently. \:\)

It won't fix the broken leach line. there is a small puddle in the yard (ick) but hope it helps slow the root growth until we can get it fixed.

Why not just repair broken line?
What would be the difference in a broken line or a leach line?
It is still "draining".

My parents had the same problem . Roy Meyers (formerly Meyers Construction )(Waterloo) did it. Took down the trees, replaced the lines , etc... Not sure if Roy is still doing anything like that or not, but you could ask.

Apply for federal bail out money. Two local banks that don't even need it got some. You should be a shoe in!
