Let's go Buffalo.

For those that missed it, there was a new thread about the Giants, and some posters took offense to my posting about the Bills on the Giants thread.

So...this is for the real fans of NYS.

Let's go Buffalo!

I thought Kenny's insight into the BILLS was right on the money, ya gotta admit the guy knows his sports!
But, please dont let him dance....EVER AGAIN!
Now for tomorrow - I think our Defense should retire Mr. Favre-and smack him down hard!

75% of the loss goes to Trent, the other 25 is the rest of the teamD- including the coaches. Very poor decisions and passing from our QB today. I blame the announcers, they jinxed him by playing up the "young QB" in the pre game show.

Believe it or not, I'm routing for your Giants. I have Eli as fantasy QB, since Breese has a bye. He's had a great first quarter.

CRAP!

By WTVH Sports
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Safety Donte Whitner is out
indefinitely with a separated right shoulder,
leaving the Buffalo
Bills without their vocal leader and most versatile defensive back.
Coach Dick Jauron on Monday would only list Whitner as out on a
week-to-week basis, while noting the injury was "fairly
significant." The injury comes at a terrible time for the suddenly
reeling Bills (5-3), who have dropped three of four and prepare to
play at New England (5-3) on Sunday in a critical matchup between
AFC East rivals.
Whitner was hurt during the Jets' decisive fourth-quarter drive,
which ended with Jay Feely's 31-yard field goal sealing New York's
26-17 victory on Sunday.
Though it's not clear when Whitner was hurt, he left the field
holding his right arm midway through the drive. He returned for a
few plays before he left the game for good, going to the sideline
and slumping down in pain.
Whitner had difficulty getting dressed after the game and didn't
say anything as team officials escorted him past reporters on the
way to the Bills' medical room.
Selected eighth overall out of Ohio State in the 2006 draft,
Whitner has been a three-year starter and registered 100 tackles in
each of his first two seasons. In eight games this season, he's
been credited with 40 tackles with two forced fumbles and a sack.
Because of his versatility defending against the run and in pass
coverage, Whitner has been used at several positions - including
nickel cornerback - to fill in after cornerback Terrence McGee
missed two games last month.
McGee's back, but the Bills defense is still banged up.
The team's top pass-rusher, defensive end Aaron Schobel, has
missed three games with an injured left foot. Jauron said he's
still not certain when Schobel will be cleared for practice. Nickel
cornerback Ashton Youboty (foot) is expected to resume practicing
this week after missing the past two games.
No. 2 receiver Josh Reed is out indefinitely after hurting his
right ankle in a 25-16 loss at Miami on Oct. 26.
Whitner was voted by his teammates as a defensive captain this
season. He has become a vocal leader for the defense, and has spent
the past two seasons hosting teammates for weekly film sessions at
his home following practice.
Whitner has also proven unafraid to speak his mind, raising
eyebrows this offseason when he publicly guaranteed that the Bills
were going to end an eight-season playoff drought - the longest in franchise history.

Sure, it's easy to find funny BILLS pics, because most of the players are or will be Hall of famers and were superstars..
I photobucketed the Jets and all I get is Vinny Testicleverde and Keeesymeshawn Johnson. ..oh and that MIAMI QB who used to play for puke green.
boo ya!

I agree... I wasn't even a twinkle in my dad's eye when the Jets went to the superbowl.... but atleast they WON LMAO!!!!

Actually I WANT the bill's to do well and go to the superbowl and then I can can win thousands $$$ againoff the fans when they choke LOL My best year was their 3rd appearance.... Everyone kept saying 3 times a charm 3 times a charm and gambled even more......and I laughed all the way to the bank!

Also I always hated Testaverde...he was worthless when he sarted and even more worthless when the Jet's got them.

Keyshawn Johnson.... I disliked him too.... If he was half as good as he told everyone he was he really woulda been something...

My favorites are from the early years... Richard Todd, Marvin Powell, Joe Klecko, Mark Gastineu etc. etc. etc.

I have been a Jet fan my entire life... and 99% of the time I disagree with the coaches and upper management and I've never really had a *winning* season...yet I stay faithful unlike 90% of the bandwagon Bills fans...give them a losing season and all the games are blacked out and they can't even give away free tickets LOL

WEll, hummph! I am certainly NOT a bandwagon Bills fan. I remember the games in the 70's where you could basically sit anywhere because there were so many empty seats.
Got some really cool close ups of Reggie Mckenzie and OJ coming out of the tunnel, slapped Joe Furgesons hand once.. hung out with some of the players at the Big Tree INN after the game.. Daryll Talley, James Lofton, The Biscuit,Don Bebe, even met some of the old timers in the field house, and have been acosted by a pack of Jills during a birthday game trip! woohoo! ahh the mammaries
I mean memories...
So I've been an AFC East rat for a looong time .. hell I still hate the Colts and they've been out of our division for a bit now! lol
12/14 we meet again scottiegangreenhottie!

Besides John Riggins.... Freeman was one of the greats!! I also loved Wesley Walker!

I woulda loved to been alive to see the Jets win the Super Bowl and beat Don Shula.... I always have disliked Don Shula is crooked as the day is long! IMO

Even though Trent was "on a roll" towards the end of the game, and as much as I HATED the conservative play calling, given Trents preference of standing WAY TOO LONG in the pocket and throwing the ball into the hands of the other team I can understand it a little. The whole first half SUCKED for Buffalo, the offensive line and the QB were inconsistent. Trent hasn't been the same since the concussion, and you have to wonder if he is a bit gun shy. Eegads! I was calling for JP LOSEman to come into the game in the second qtr.!!!
We need to draft a high profile Heisman candidate QB.
Our season is pretty much kaput, at this point, imo.

So Bills fans, should the coach sit Edwards and throw Loseman in the mix? Give Edwards a taste of bech city? Maybe just for a game or two?? Or if Loseman gets us wins keep him in???

p.s. did anyone see jim kellys face on the sideline when they missed that field goal you can tell the scott norwood affair was running through his mind

I honestly don't know what the answer is. The coach obviously doesn't have the faith in Edwards he says he has, or he'd have given him a chance to throw the long pass on that last drive. Instead, he had them run the ball, which obviously was not successful. And yea...I saw. Poor Jimbo. Deja vous.

why throw the ball taht close to the end of the game once you hit field goal range? Not coach's fault that Lindell couldnt pull through...cant blame the coach..why risk a turnover? when he had already thrown 3 picks? Great calls by the coach...too bad lindell couldnt put it through, would have been a good win, we needed it..

They needed to get closer to the goal w/the strong wind. Punts in that direction only going 20-30 yards and the Browns kicker going in the other direction easily hit at 56 yarder w/plenty more on it w/the wind at his back.

The Bills always tend to disappoint. I have had it with them. Flutie was benched years ago in favor of a loser. I have got no complaint with Edwards but the previous quarterbacks always gave the big let down. JMO.

Oh now, now. Keep in mind they play NYJ, Fish, and NE all again and they SHOULD get by KC and SF. Course, they should have beaten Browns. It's not probable, but it is possible. What really hurt is losing the 3 games in the AFC East.

I don't think anyone would disagree w/that. Any truth to the rumor Kelly and the Thurmonator want to buy the franchise from Ralph? Jello...you heard that one?

Evans less than pleased
Chris Brown
Posted November 18th, 2008
Tags: Dick Jauron, Lee Evans, Trent Edwards
Seeing Lee Evans bolt for the locker room before anyone else as the last kneel down occurred was a good indication as to how disappointed he was that he did not have any kind of impact on a game that Buffalo could have won.

Against a secondary that had more than its share of busts this season was victimized by Evans, who was open on numerous occasions through the course of the game, but Trent Edwards’ early struggles (3 INTs) left him hesitant to look downfield as he quickly went to his checkdown options, leaving oppportunities to get the ball to Evans downfield twisting in the wind.

“I did plenty of forcing the ball in the first quarter, so I don’t really know if I need to force the ball to Lee Evans again in the game, but we need to look at the tape and fix some things here, and see if Lee’s open on any of these plays.”

Evans was wide open in the back corner of the end zone, when Edwards ultimately scrambled on a play from the Browns’ 12-yard line. There appeared to be other opportunities too.

“I’m certain that there are some times that he probably could have got it,” said Dick Jauron. “You don’t know. Even if the read takes the quarterback to that receiver at a certain time, there’s no way to tell, unless you’re standing with the quarterback and can see what he can and can’t see. We’ll have to see the tape, I’m sure there were some opportunities that we missed.”

Opposing number one receivers have usually had their way with the Browns, but Evans saw his 67-game streak with at least one reception come to an end and obviously did not want to discuss it afterwards as he was not in the locker room after the game.

Well, if I have to gain 3 games on this Munson character in the pick-em contest I have to take a chance on an upset once in awhile.
Buffalo seems ripe for the picking right now.

They should get past KC and SF. Course I didn't think there was anyway they'd lose to Cleveland at home in primetime.

Come on Bills fans, sign the petition. An important division game in Toronto, minus the 12th man, at least let it snow!

It's not going to matter. They have already said they cannot and will not open the roof.

If you have ever been there the stadium has poor drainage, it was not designed to be open during bad weather.

The Bills will be missing a host of veteran players for Sunday’s game with the 49ers. Cornerback Jabari Greer, linebacker Teddy Lehman, defensive tackle John McCargo, tight end Robert Royal, and defensive end Aaron Schobel.
Safety Done Whitner practiced on a limited basis all week, but he is questionable for Sunday’s game. Also listed as questionable, linebacker Keith Ellison who was also limited in his work this week, Derek Schouman, a tight end who scored a touchdown last week against Kansas City is also questionable with a hamstring injury. Rounding out the list of questionables, defensive tackle Copeland Bryan who is dealing with a foot injury.

The Bills also placed McCargo on injured reserve Friday after McCargo continued to experience back problems. The Bills promoted tight end Jonathan Stupar to the 53 man roster for Sunday’s game. Stupar was a member of Buffalo’s practice squad for the previous 12 weeks and played college football at the University of Virginia

Awesome! I'm sure you'll love game day at the Ralph. It depends if you're going to tailgate or not (that's half the fun!). We park in the parking lot next to the field house, and if you don't get there by 10, the lot is usually full and you have to park on the other side of the stadium or in someone's lawn. We leave PY around 7 and usually get there around 9:20. Have fun!

I'm not expecting the Bills to win the game with so many players out, but it would sure be nice if they could pull it off. I'm thinking the Jets are the team to take the division. And I'm still a Bills fan, but I'm also a Favre fan.

When I saw JP on the field after half time...kiss of death. I guess Edwards sustained a groin injury in the first half. The Jets and NE both lost, so this loss really cost us.

I heard this talked about on the radio or tv this week, it did give me some pause as a NY fan, not a Buffalo fan.

The Buffalo vs Miami game is in Toronto this week-end, IN A DOME STADIUM !!! So, Toronto has decided to close the roof, why ??

Pennington's worst games as a Jet were a result of the elements. Why would the city, hosting the Bills, want to benefit the "away team" ?

Play the game the way it was meant to be played. Let whatever flys, fly or whatever blows, blow!!

Bills fans, your thoughts ???

I do think Pennington has come a long way and i don't think that the stadium roof being closed is gonna matter. The bills didn't do too hot last week in the elements either, but from what I heard on the way home from that game is that Edwards doesn't do too good in the elements either. I know he isn't starting this week, but with the way JP Losman plays I think they're gonna have to pound the ball to win the game. I'm a niners fan but I'm going for the bills this week. GO BILLS!!!!

I can't tell you how many people have asked us if we're going to Toronto Sunday. NO! I am a huge fan, but honestly...we can only take so much. Should have beaten the Browns and SF. It's a combination of poor coaching and play. And if we're stuck w/JP down the stretch, I don't know if they'll win ANY of the remaining games.

I believe I posted the link to a petition to sign to open the Dome. Toronto said no can do. They won't open it. I guess it gets shut down after baseball and they don't feel it can stand the elements. Well, neither can the Dolphins. Big advantage for Miami.

I mentioned it here before and there is a link to an article.

The Rogers Center is not designed to have the roof open during bad weather. Poor drainage.

I have seen the floor first hand in there when they change over to the field. It is just a concrete floor underneath. It is completely flat and does not taper like the Ralph does.

Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. They are the oldest professional football team in North America.

Yes, they have a professional football league in Canada.

Thanks for the explanation, roadguy.

Not being a Bills Fan, I don't read their forums that often. But, I did hear this talked about last week by the national media.

It just seemed abit unfair to Buffalo, in some way, that their open air stadium advantage, IMO, had been neutralized.

Then again, what I am hearing from Bills' fans is that their "inept" team will also be benefitting from the indoor facility.

Inept describes Jaroun. Bill Cower or any coach would be hopping up and down and screaming, trying to motivate his team. He stands there like a piece of granite. He can't even throw the coaches challenge red flag in on time. Wake up Bills management! And that contract w/5 years and 8 games in Toronto? Your fans are the 12th man and you left us out. As season ticket holders, we not only do not get the Toronto game included, we don't even get a discount. We got robbed of a preseason and regular season game this year. SHAME on the Bill's management.

I was one of the biggest complainers about the Bills playing a divisional game in Toronto instead of at The Ralph. However...I'm thankful today it's not at The Ralph for purely selfish reasons...it's freezing and that wind. I have no faith in JP. I was kind of hoping they'd start that 2nd year QB out of Indiana.
With that being said...
LET'S GO BUFFALO

OK...a lot of this debacle is poor coaching. Why in the world would they have Denny covering Brown? No way he can keep up. Ugh.

Edwards got hurt in last week's first half and he's still hurt. I'd like to see that #10 in as QB, Gibran Hamden. Yea, beleive it or not, JP underthrew in the endzone and Miami caught the ball.

It's black Monday...again. I doubt they'll win a game the rest of the season. No QB and extremely poor coaching. Jaroun needs to go.

You have to be a little more specific. Just about everyone have beat the "Jills" twice and eliminated them from the playoffs!!!

No the Bills were basically eliminated last week, they were 0-4 coming into this week in the division and held no tie breakers.

Tell me about it. More like the Bills make me wanna swear! I was Christmas shopping and missed the game. I listened to the pregame on the way to the mall. Sal (last name escapes me), sportswriter for the D&C, said Edwards is the QB of the future, but he needs a mentor and a coach. He also noted that Jaroun should not be a head coach.
It's official as per ESPN...they extended Jaroun's contract for 3 years. Good bye season tickets. Bad decision. WAKE UP RALPH!

It's good to see the Bills fans hop off the band wagon like they do every year.... looks like the rest of the games this year will be "blacked out" and probably most of them next year too

I have been a Jet's fan through thick and thin for over 30 years...in those 30 years I have never really had a post season, or a coach I like, or agree with their quarterback choices, or agree with their defenense that doesn't know how to tackle properly ....yet I remain a Fan!

Scottie, I will remain a Bills fan. However, we're not going to renew season tickets to drive 2 1/2 hours to every home game. I'm happy to see NE not atop the AFC East this year, at least.

It is frustrating to see the Jets struggle with the same stuff year after year for instance poor play calling, poor time management, and not knowing how to TACKLE...yesterday it was painfully obvious.... you are supposed to tackle by the feet ( I learned that in pop-warner football how can they not know that in the pro's?).... without use of their feet a man can't run....try to tackle him by the chest and you have 4 defensive players being dragged down the field

From the from page of FL1 Sports:

"The Bills officially eliminated themselves from playoff contention Sunday, meaning that Buffalo will miss the playoffs for the tenth straight season."

Haven't They Seen JP Play Before?
Contributor: Mike Catalana
Email: mcatalana@13wham.com
Last Update: 11:20 am

"Let’s start with this. JP Losman is a bad quarterback. His decision making is atrocious. He has no sense of when he is being pressured and does a terrible job of holding on to the football. You know all of this. We all do. Do you know why we know? Because we have seen the guy play. So if we know, what are the Bills coaches thinking? Why was the ball in JP’s hands with just over 2 minutes to go. Not only were the Bills running the ball well, but the defense owned the Jets in the second half. Instead, they call the pass play, Losman takes a hit, touchdown Jets, another loss.
It was not quite a Miracle at the Meadowlands Part 2, but Losman does have the same initials as Joe Pisarcik. That Giants blunder back in the 70’s led to a change in the way teams end games. This should just secure the immediate future of a franchise. This one goes on Dick Jauron and Turk Schonert. JP is gone next year no matter what. These guys let him take them with him

On the plus side Sunday: The running backs looked for real. Marshawn Lynch might run as hard as any back in the league. The run for the goal line by Fred Jackson was one of the best plays made by a Bills player this season. The defense overcame a very rough start and made life miserable for Brett Favre. Leodis McKelvin has replaced Devin Hester as the most dangerous return man in the league. Plus Brian Moorman was a weapon again with his pin them deep punts.

I am tired of finding Silver linings in the dark clouds of Orchard Park. I am tired of trying to find glimmers of hope that help people think next year is going to be the year. I am tired of the Bills season’s ending before they can even break out the tiebreakers. Sunday’s loss to the Jets confirmed that the franchise is nothing more than a tease these days, and a bad one at that. Ralph Wilson needs to do something drastic and giving fans one less bad game to pay for isn’t going to make it work this time."

As Much as I like Jauron, after that call I would think his future SHOULD be in doubt also! Thank GOD there are only two games left.

An even BIGGER question is: Should OJ's name be removed from the Wall of Fame?

No kidding. Talk about a kick in the teeth for the Bills fans. Must be Ralph was satisfied w/the season. Granted, a lot of our woes rest w/JP surfer dude, but at least 50% of the problem lies within the coaching staff. This year, the fans were excited and most games sold out immediately. I suspect there will be many who will not renew season tickets. Fans were disgruntled because of the agreement made that Toronto get some "home" games, and this is the nail in the coffin. I will remain a Bills fan, but no way am I gonna spend more money to watch a medicore team that the owner has no interest in improving.

Who the Hell chose Jason Peters to be a starting Guard in this years Pro Bowl. He stunk up the carpet this year, so this means he will probably holdout again next year and be just as bad. I'm A Bills Die Hard but a realist also.

I was so digusted w/all of them, didn't even vote. If it weren't for my son from SC coming home for Christmas and wanting to go to NE game, I'd say my tailgaiting days are over until they get a quality head coach and a healthy, quality QB.

what is your guys screen name on the Bills message board? Are their any Bills Backers bars around here. What a miserable season its been after the great start, different yr, same results. we need a pass rushing de to go with schoebel bad. We need to get a veteran WR in here too, Hardy was a joke this year and reed and parrish are just not good enough. If we get someone with Evans are wrs will be set!! Get rid of royal too, that guys a bum, we need a real TE. Draft Alex Mack the center from Cal also.

2008 was a total letdown for these five teamsby Kevin Hench
Kevin Hench is a frequent contributor to FOXSports.com. An accomplished film and television writer, Hench's latest screenwriting credit is for The Hammer, which stars Adam Carolla and is now available on DVD.

Updated: December 26, 2008, 4:29 PM EST 224 comments add this RSS blog email Print It is being hailed as the Greatest Year in Sports History. 2008 gave us a Super Bowl for the ages, an OT NCAA hoops title game, an epic Nadal-Federer Wimbledon final, a Celtics-Lakers resurrection, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt transcending human limitations, and Tiger Woods winning on one leg.

But not everybody thought the year was all that. NFL fans in Jacksonville, Green Bay, Cleveland, Buffalo and, of course, Detroit thought it outright sucked.
No other teams defied expectations quite like these. (Seattle's expectations were modified after losing its top six wide receivers to injury.)

For fans of the five most disappointing teams in the league, the Sundays of Our Lives were pure misery.

4. Buffalo Bills

When Tom Brady went down in the Patriots' season opener, the AFC East was suddenly wide open. The Bills stepped into the void, winning their first four games and five of their first six to stake a claim as the heir apparent.

The Stanford-Cal combination of Trent Edwards and Marshawn Lynch led an efficient offense and newly acquired DT Marcus Stroud was dominating on defense.

But the hot early start was quickly revealed as a mirage achieved against weak competition. (Those five wins came against teams that would have a combined .293 winning percentage heading into Week 17.) When the Bills finally started to play decent teams, they started losing. And just couldn't stop.

They lost to the Dolphins, Jets and Patriots (combined record 29-16) to fall to 5-4 and then lost to the woeful Browns at home to fall to .500. In those four losses Edwards threw just three touchdown passes while getting picked off eight times. Lynch reached rock bottom in the loss to Jets with 16 yards on nine carries.

A win over the lowly Chiefs was followed by three more losses, a fade that could only be halted by the Broncos' prodigious desire not to participate in the playoffs.

Last week's win in Denver was the Bills' first against a team with a winning record after dropping their first six such games. When you're 5-1 and sitting atop a division that features a team that lost its MVP quarterback, a team that went 4-12 in the previous season and a team that went 1-15 in '07, last place is probably the last place you expect to end up.

The '08 Bills' disappointing season was perfectly summed up by the library-like silence that engulfed them during their 16-3 "home" loss to the Dolphins in Toronto in Week 14.

what an complete embarassment for the Bills, that game was yesterday, they had nothing to lose by playing the Pats yesterday, except the fact that pats have beaten them time and time again, they should have just forfited the game and saved the fans a lot of money and time.

Listening to the post game show on the way home, the coach blamed everything on the wind (which reportedly had gusts up to 75 mph). Funny...the Pats played in the same conditions and managed to score.

The wind! ha! The coaching SUCKED! The pits were able to march down field into the wind and score, yet the bumbeling Bills march down the field at the end of the first half and w/ 22 seconds left can't even TRY a field goal! Then with 4+ minutes left in the third - going w/ the wind the dont even try to pass.. Jauron needs to be FIRED, and sorry but unless you have a broken collarbone, a "sore" shoulder just doesnt cut it w/ Ms. Marshawn Lynch sitting out and the worthless Jason Peters also needs to be cut... yesterdays game was the PERFECT example of how much we sucked. Glad it's over.
Congrats to the Fish, glad it wasnt the Pits who won the division.

Report: Jauron Decision Due Wednesday

Last Update: 12/29 7:43 pm

Dick Jauron’s future with the Buffalo Bills will be known on Wednesday, according to a report published Monday evening in the Buffalo News.

Ralph Wilson told a reporter that he is in the process of meeting with his staff in Detroit and will continue to do so until Wednesday. Present at those meetings, Bills chief operation officer Russ Brandon, vice president of college scouting Tom Modrak, and Bills treasurer Jeff Littmann. According to the report, Wilson plans to meet on Tuesday, and then again on Wednesday before making his decision.

In three years with the Bills, Jauron’s teams have finished 7-9 each season, failing to make the playoffs in all three. Buffalo began the 2008 campaign 5-1 before losing ten of their 12 final games, including a 13-0 loss to New England in Sunday’s regular season finale.

So we could be talking to Shanahan, and Cowher but Noooo we get one more year of a 7-9 threepeat, I'm wondering if senility is kicking in with Mr. Wilson.

I guess the Jets are gonna talk to Cowher. Shanahan would have been a perfect fit for the Bills. Apparently, Ralph doesn't care about the 12th man. Well, Ralph just lost 6 season ticket holders here, and I'm guessing many, many more.

Ralph Wilson Must Like P.T. Barnum

Bills Owner Ralph Wilson, Jr. I have never been to Ralph Wilson’s home. But I am going to guess that somewhere in his home there is a picture of P.T. Barnum. The Bills owner must be a fan of the man who ran the circus. He must be a fan of the man who once famously said “There is a sucker born every minute” because the Bills owner believes that’s what you are to him. He looks at you like a bunch of sheep, ready to line up and buy at the slightest hint of excitement. Bringing back Dick Jauron to coach the Bills in 2009 is the height of arrogance from the owner of the franchise. But I think this is the time he pays for that arrogance.
I am not going to sit here and tell you that the Bills could not win with Dick Jauron as their coach next season. But the facts don’t lie. The safest bet in sports is that a Dick Jauron team will finish the season with a 7-9 record. He’s done it 4 straight years. Take out the one spectacular year with the Bears (13-3 and a playoff loss) and his career head coaching record is 44-73.

Jauron is a bright man who once played in the NFL and sticks up for his players. That is why he is able to gain his players respect and that is why they continue to stick up for him. They like him because he is good to them and they do not have to fear for their jobs. That is why his teams do not win. Nice goes don’t always finish last. It seems they finish 7-9. This team and this franchise needs a change of attitude. A little dash of anger and passion might not hurt. That isn’t going to happen with this current coach and his current staff and his current players.

But the owner will sit in his Detroit home and wait. He’ll have his guys parade a bunch of free agents through Orchard Park and tell you that he is ready to spend. They will even pull the trigger on a player or two and tell you that the pieces are coming together. They will put together some clever commercials telling you what you’ll be missing if you don’t buy Bills season tickets and buy them fast. He does not hope that you will line up to buy what he is selling. He expects it.

This time I think he has gone too far. If Dick Jauron did not already have a contract extension in his pocket, there is no way he would be coming back. But he did have a deal. That means keeping Jauron is only about money. But this time it will end up costing Ralph Wilson money. He has left his own people with nothing to sell. Good luck getting sponsors and corporations to line up and buy this product for next season. Good luck trying to put together those season ticket packages that include 2 pre season games but one less regular season game (off to Toronto again) Good luck finding the suckers to fall for this bad act one more time.

Bills Safety Simpson Arrested in South Carolina

Last Update: 1/02 6:37 pm

Print Story | Email Story

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP)—Buffalo Bills safety Ko Simpson was arrested outside a bar in his hometown of Rock Hill after he refused to leave officers alone as they arrested another man, according to a police report.

Simpson was in a car that was speeding through the parking lot of the Celebrations bar around 2 a.m. New Year’s Day. The driver and another passenger in the car were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after they yelled and cursed at police, according to the report.

Simpson then began yelling at officers, saying “I’m Ko Simpson with the Buffalo Bills. I am worth millions!” several times. The officers asked Simpson to leave the parking lot and he began to walk away, but turned and started yelling at officers again, police said.

The officers arrested Simpson because they feared his screaming might cause the large crowd that gathered to turn against them, police said.

The 25-year-old Simpson was charged with hindering police and released on a $470 bond, according to Rock Hill jail officials.

Officials with the Bills said they were aware of the report and were gathering more information. A message left for Simpson’s agent was not immediately returned.

Simpson played in all 16 games for Buffalo this season, intercepting two passes and making 66 tackles after missing nearly all of 2007 with a broken ankle. Simpson was drafted in the fourth round in 2006 and became an immediate starter because of injuries, with two interceptions and 76 tackles his rookie year.

Simpson was the Southeastern Conference freshman of the year in 2004 at South Carolina. He left the Gamecocks after two seasons."

Peters to miss Pro Bowl againChris Brown, Lead Journalist

Posted Jan 20, 2009

a a For the second straight year Jason Peters was named a starter for the AFC in the Pro Bowl, and for the second straight year Peters will not participate in the game on Feb. 8 in Honolulu.

At this point no official reason has been given for his inability to participate although Peters did miss the last two games of the 2008 regular season with a knee injury.

Replacing Peters will be Miami Dolphins rookie left tackle Jake Long.

Peters made his first Pro Bowl following the 2007 season, but could not play in the game due to a sports hernia that forced him to miss the last game of the regular season. He underwent surgery in mid-January last year and had to be replaced on the Pro Bowl roster.

This guys SUCKS we need to cut him now! What an embarassment. and sheesh it's not like we arent embarassed enough! oye!

Bills Sign QB Fitzpatrick

Last Update: 2/27 10:45 pm

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has signed with the Buffalo Bills, providing the team an experiencedbackup behind starter Trent Edwards. The signing, announced by the Bills late Friday night, came on the first day of the NFL's free-agency period and after the formerCincinnati Bengals player spent the day meeting with Bills executives.

A seventh-round pick out of Harvard in the 2005 draft, Fitzpatrick went 4-7-1 in a career-high 12 starts for the Bengals in place of injured starter Carson Palmer last season. Fitzpatrick spent his first two seasons with St. Louis before being traded to Cincinnati. The Bills were in need of an experienced backup to replace J.P. Losman, who was not re-signed after his contract expired.

I'm not sure I like this addition. They need a veteran to be a mentor to Edwards. From what I've read, Fitzpatrick is "book smart" about football, but doesn't have the athletic ability. I'm not sure how that will help the team. They need a backup QB, not a coach. Well, actually they do need a head coach, but that's an entirely different story.

Bills Sign OL Hangartner

Last Update: 2/28 5:35 pm

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Free agent offensive lineman Geoff Hangartner has signed with the Buffalo Bills, becoming the first addition to their rebuilding line.
The deal was announced by the Bills on Saturday after the former Carolina Panthers player spent the day meeting with team executives and coaches. A fifth-round draft pick from Texas A&M in 2005, Hangartner played both center and right guard for the Panthers.

The Bills have needs at both positions after releasing left guard Derrick Dockery on Thursday, and after electing not to re-sign starting center Duke Preston and backup Melvin Fowler this offseason. Listed at 6-foot-5, 301 pounds, Hangartner appeared in 16 games and made eight starts last season.

Good grief, our boys better start behaving! From channel 13 news:

Bills Whitner Arrested

Last Update: 4/11 8:58 pm

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Buffalo Bills defensive back Donte Whitner was shocked with a stun gun and arrested by officers trying to control a rowdy crowd outside a Cleveland nightclub early Saturday, police said.

Whitner was jailed for aggravated disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Lt. Thomas Stacho said. The former Ohio State star was released later Saturday and hadn't been charged, police said. A prosecutor was to decide whether to file charges.

Police shocked and handcuffed Whitner, 23, outside the House of Blues after he forced his way past them and then broke free from officers trying to restrain him, Stacho said.

Officers heard reports that Miami Dolphins wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. was having a birthday party at the downtown venue but couldn't confirm whether Whitner was attending, Stacho said. Whitner and Ginn were high school teammates and played for the Buckeyes.

It was unclear why Whitner tried to leave the club and head for the melee, though he told officers, "My cousin's out there, and they've got guns," according to a police report, Stacho said.

Whitner said he regrets the incident.

"It's not how I wish to conduct myself, and I apologize to all those involved," he said in a statement released through his agent, Neil Cornrich.

A Bills spokesman said Saturday the team wouldn't comment on Whitner until it had more information.

Whitner is at least the third Bills player to run into trouble with the law this year.

Police in South Carolina say they arrested 25-year-old safety Ko Simpson outside a bar in his hometown, Rock Hill, early New Year's Day when he interfered with officers trying to arrest his friends. Simpson's lawyer earlier wouldn't discuss the case; a prosecutor said Simpson had asked to enter a program that would remove from his record a charge of hindering police.

Running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested near Los Angeles in February when police found a weapon in a parked car. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge and was sentenced to 80 hours of community service and probation. He also was suspended for three games without pay by the NFL for violating the league's personal-conduct policy.
