That sucks to lose your caterer so close to the wedding. Linda Trout makes yummy cakes and frankly, so does Wegmans! I used them for a couple of showers and they were very inexpensive - if you have a lot of guests to feed and that is an issue.

IDK what that shot/cigar thing is. As far as dancing w/ the bride - what if your guest list tops 300? You'd be dancing all night. It's not manageable in some cases.

Why not? You’re already condemning the groom!

When I got married we used Maria and Frank Schmidder/Schmitter out of Seneca Falls. They did an AWESOME job! Of course if you went to the Elks in SF on Friday nights you'd know (before they retired) all the food was just fantastic. Anyways, good luck in finding a caterer.

As far as the #4 suggestion: instead of the B&G kissing when someone sang a song with the word "love" in it or clanking the glasses, we used bells. Every time someone (or table) shook their bells, we had to kiss. It was a bit quieter but still got n your nerves after a while. Good luck in finding someone. I wish my mom and dad were still here. My mom used to have a bridal shop (had everything for the bride except the dress and tux for the groom). They used to do balloon sculptures too. They did a great job in helping out people with their wedding needs. Good luck and have fun!!!!!!

I wrote about a guy from Auburn, Stanley Kolonko, who does ice sculpture...though for an outdoor wedding in August it might not be appropriate

He competed in the Ice Art Championships in Fairbanks this winter - his sculpture was awesome!

Here's a great audience participation .. toast up two or three loaves of bread and pass them out to everyone except the head table, keeping it secret. Then when the best man gets up and says "I'd like to make a toast", everyone throws their toast at him! now thats entertainment..

LOL

I love that wanting less stuff at my wedding makes me a Bridezilla. That's a new one!

Men are always complaining about how the wedding is about the woman. Well - here's the numbers to the caterer, officiant, DJ/band, dress shop, tux shop, shoe store, printer, photographer, limo service, AND our parents. Have at it!

I didn't forget - I don't need one. Mine is my dad.

Nice try!

There are two songs that are absolutely mandatory at a wedding reception.

The Chicken Dance and YMCA.
