Has anyone read James Patterson's latest, Sail? On the fence about buying it.

Started "I Know This Much Is True" by Wally Lamb the other night. With it's almost 900 pages, I'm thinking it should of been a winter read ;\)

I liked it - not as much as "She's Come Undone". Definitely ambitious summer reading.

Big Russ and Me is incredible, btw. I recommend it.

Lol, had I not already started reading this one, I'd be reading "Big Russ and Me" right now. Thanks for helping me decide to read that next, before "She's Come Undone". I'm normally a very ambitious reader, but not in the summer. I just have to make the time for it!

Def. skip SCU for BR&M. I'm hoping Wisdom of Our Fathers will be back on the shelf by the end of the week.

I'm going to. I'm betting Wisdom of Our Fathers will be a good read as well.

I just finished "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold and that was good. Not fun but good.

Is BR&M an easy read? Meaning a day or two to read it? I may just have to read it before my 900 other pages have been read!

Yes, I'm halfway through and I've only devoted two serious sessions to the book.

Della

I read TLB years ago and it was quite an experience. Try her autobiographical, Lucky about her rape while at Syracuse University.

I just learned about Lucky at the back of this book which will be difficult for me but I think a good thing. I made myself read this book and I am so glad I did. It's one of those books that stays with you forever.

If you want something that you can read in a day or two, I recommend Janet Evanovich book that just came out today, Fearless Fourteen, I think it is. It's a series of books, so you could always start w/One for the Money, which you can pick up for like 5 bucks at WalMart. They are comedy/mystery. The characters, especially Grandma Mazur, are a hoot.

Didn't they make a movie based on that book?

It was like 20 years ago. I believe the song was titled White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane and I think it was a made for tv movie. There's a lull in the Yanks game. I'll look it up.
