We don't add anything to the ground venison, just preshape the patties and freeze them and then do them very slow on the grill or a nonstick pan. We found this fantastic roasted garlic pepper that just finishes them off perfectly. The key is SLOW cooking, if you do it too fast they will fall apart. Had them last night for supper and sooo good.

Totally random thought that I had to share with my fellow grillites out there. Props to Urban Sun. We took advantage of the 5/20 sale on the meats. I cooked up a whole mess of sausage and did it go quick!!

I strongly recomend boneless chicken breast. But I must caution you about marinading meats high in protein. Marinades that contain natural acids (lemon, citrus, etc...) that only marinade for 1/2 hour. Anything more will start to remove the protein from meat. Little unknown and yet maybe useless, fact.

This is a very yummy bean recipe
1 pound lean ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup ketchup 1/4 cup barbecue sauce 1/4 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. mustard 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) pork 'n beans 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) butter beans, drained 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) kidney beans, drained 1 can (approx. 16 ounces) pinto beans, drained 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled PREPARATION: Cook hamburger until brown. Add onion and cook until tender; draine well. Add remaining ingredients, except bacon. Put in casserole or crockpot and top with bacon crumbs. Bake at 350° for an hour, or cook in covered slow cooker or crockpot on HIGH for an hour...reduce heat and cook 2 to 4 hours on LOW heat.

I tried these yesterday they were very good.

I made these on Fathers Day. I used left over breakfast sausage and bacon, chopped them together and put on top then drizzled with syrup and baked uncovered. OMG they were amazing.
