These have been very special pages in honor of Father's Day. It really did my heart good to hear various posters remembering their fathers (and other family members and special others.) ;\)

Wishing our parents could be here to celebrate another grandchild and our happiness as we continue to build our life together.

The week before Buddy died, he sent me "If tomorrow never comes" by Garth Brooks twice and the second time he sent it, I told him that he had already sent it to me. He didnt even remember. Now I listen to it every day and it gives me some comfort knowing how he felt. I had nine short years with him, but I know that they were the best years of his life.

4 months. WOW! And yet, I come across SF's post with this pic, and can't help but tear up. Ugh.

We miss you, Papa G, more than words could ever describe. I know we didn't speak it often, but we love you more than you will ever know. We try to keep your memory alive every day. I hope you are watching over us all, and that we are making you proud...

6 months ago today you left us so fast, without notice. So much left unsaid, undone, and so many moments of sorrow have followed. You were our dad, father-in-law, brother, and mostly, our friend. We love you always, and miss you just as much every day. P.S. Thanks for the BS on Thansgiving! You made our day! Love you, Papa G

I'm so sad...I just found out that a high school beau, my first love really, committed suicide (apparent) and I hardly know what to think. He was a brilliant scientist and as I read through several of his obits it's hard to know or understand how such a brilliant, personable (not at all stodgy, even as his stature in the world of Astronomy grew) man could think his life not worth living...there had even been talk of a Nobel prize.

I'm so sad for his family, his children, his partner...

Sorry for the loss of your friend HP. Suicide knows no bounderies. My father did it and I found him when I was 12. A real wake up call to say the least.

I've been pushed to the edge of my limits quite a few times the last year or so and actually had 1 leg over the Bridge Street bridge to jump in icy waters, I thought of my son and didn't want him to go through what I did.

Remember your friend as you knew him.
