I am thinking of tanning as well....it does help.

VM...this is an issue for me, true enough. It's more like bad relationships and bad things that have happened in the past couple of years....i.e, several deaths and such. It will pass.....the holidays are always hard for me. I know that and I know I have to deal with it. I have brought alot on myself for putting up with things that I should not have. Sometimes when you love someone you tend to try to see a brighside no matter how much it hurts. I miss my family as well.....I have a lot going on right now with trying to pack.....planning a move.....my job....and all those things that people deal with everyday. I know I have it better than some and I need to keep telling myself that. I appreciate your advice and will heed it. You have a blessed Christmas.

I'm sort of in the same boat. No parents, no woman, no kids, my sister lives out of state, and my brother, who lives here, also doesn't have kids. However, I've had more time to get used to my situation than you've had, I think.

I'm spending Jan. in Panama, where there is not only sunlight, but it's warm and I'm much more inclined to get out and walk daily, which both help my mood. I think the South will be good for you, too, not only because there's more sun, but because it's a fresh start for you. You have a great Christmas, too, Yetta, and I'm with you in realizing that we have it better than many do.

I wish the best for you..
Some times the choices we make come back to haunt us. When you listen to other people that think they have the answer, then you find out they were wrong.
Don't regret, At the time it's all fun and you wanted to be there....
Then you sit back and realized what you should not have done.

Hey, Yetta, if you find a cure, package it. You can make a fortune. In fact, I'll take a dozen bottles.
I don't have a degree in psychology, but I'd say you have every right to be sad. You've gone through a lot of loss - mentally and physically.
If you're working on finding ways to fight it, I say GOOD FOR YOU. I hope it works out for the best.
I know I'm not the most popular person on the forum, but it hurts me when I see others truly hurt. I sincerely wish you the best with the depression. Sometimes something as small as a kiss from a pet helps, or a smile from a real friend.

And....one day you will sit back and know what you have done. You wish the best for me after what you did to me????? That's priceless. You wish the best for me because you ended up where you wanted to be to begin with.....you came out smelling like a rose when everyone else was hurt.

Also, never regret doing anything that made you smile!

Oh, I know there's no cure, I was diagnosed with it 5 years ago.
But sometimes being around friends helps. And sometimes not having real friends make it worse. I've been through that one, and it happened right around Christmas.
