You should get hold of your local Building Code person.

House-Barn-Camp-Jacking call (315) 487-0247 or (315) 345-2223
or
Barn-Camp-House Jacking call (315) 345-0212 or (315) 676-4209

per Tuesday, August. 7,2007 The Town Crier.

Ranger's brother had a house lifted a few feet some years ago; maybe the guy's still in business.

Trucksill was the guy's name, out of syracuse, but he's been gone a long time. When he lifted that house it was 24 years ago, my, how time flies.

AG, let me ask the boss, he may know of someone, but it won't be until he gets back, next week.

I knew that it was about that long ago, but thought that the business might have been sold or inherited, along with some expertise, and thought that yo bro might have some advice on the subject (u2; you know a thing or two about building structure).

it was only a couple years back that we had a house jacked, in order to put a basement under it, but I don't know who did it off the top of my head, all I know is it wasn't cheap, but we're talking a whole house here.

It's probably cheaper than letting the thing go until it falls down, LOL.

Remember, she's talking beam reinforcement, too. Hmnn... just had a thought. Maybe she's not talking about actually lifting it entirely, but just jacking until level and straight, and doing some reinforcement and placing of posts. It might already have a basement, for all we know.

This place we had jacked wasn't very far from falling down, by the time we got done gutting the thing out, bringing in the guy to jack it, digging out the new foundation, the foundation, all the remoldeling, and additions, it still only have 2X6 for floor joists and 2X4 walls. It would have been a tradeoff to just tear it down and start new. And would have been much more energy effecient.
