Loc: Seneca County, NY
A great day for Seneca County and the Seneca County Republican Party! We all knew that AB was as dirty and corrupt as they come but this finally gets it in the open and on record. While AB's removal from office might seem like too little too late, I have a pretty strong suspicion that there will be more charges against AB and others on the way.
"When you're looking at the business end of a grand jury, chances are, someone is going to prison."
Festus....are you obsessed with this or what? Also, he was never "arrested" by the NYSP as you stated. According to the FL1 usage policy you can be removed for "posting any material which is knowingly false and or defamatory and innaccurate". Move on.
Take it up with Greg Cotterill, he wrote the "news" . His latest, and greatest, "revision" can be found here.
Bianchi is barred from membership in the Republican Committee and directly or indirectly trying to influence its activities, including decisions about candidates to support. He is not to handle political contributions or be a signatory for any account set up for political funds. Bianchi also waived his right to appeal. Tunney said the deal satisfies any other potential criminal charges — provided Bianchi adheres to the conditions — and concludes his grand jury investigation.
I don't think most people believe it's no big deal, but it's relatively small potatoes when compared to all the accusations being made by South County/cleangov (he stopped just short of accusing AB of murder, for God's sake), and a few others.
Sure, it's a bad thing to do, but it is, after all, a misdemeanor. He has to leave office. So what? He has stated for some time now that he didn't intend to seek the chair spot again. $100.00 fine - WOW!!!
I find it quite anti-climactic.
I hope there's more substance to that other investigation.
