I was wondering if anybody knows a good place to get this..very fine shred to it... non-bark.G/F says its better for the soil and keeps rodents down better..looking for a dump truck load for delivery.

DDC I don't know if you've gotten the black mulch already but because it has dyes in it you're actually better off getting a finely shredded natural mulch. I would even recommend calling the Mennonite place...Sensinigs or something like that...and trying the "mushroom soil" which has that rich dark color of the black mulch but is really wonderful for the soil and doesn't contain dies.

nope...not expensive at all. It may even be less expensive than the shredded mulch...and it decomposes and enriches the soil BETTER. It really is the stuff they grow mushrooms in and when it's spent it's sold for compost/mulch.

The black cedar mulch at the Bargain Outlet is $3.33/bag. A lot cheaper than what we paid last year.
