Something Italian, with noodles, tomato and fresh mozzarella cheese with ricotta!

I am undecided between Spencer's Beef tip recipe or a pot of Spanish Rice served with my homemade bread that's rising. I really want to know a good Italian sauce recipe.

start with frying onion and garlic in olive oil in the morning, add herbs and meat as it all cooks then once the meat is nicely browned you can skip a step use a prepared sauce or keep on the long route and cook fresh tomoato into a sauce...
depends on how you want to do it.
By about 4 or 5 it all should be ready, sorry but my grandma(Italian from Naples) never gave me absolute measures, just pinch of oregano, a bit of basil you get the idea.

Thanks Mousie. Can I use canned tomatoes or tomato paste or tomato sauce? I want some good Italian sauce, not a jar of prepared.

Missfired, you can use shortcuts...honest! Sometimes shorcuts work just as well as do the long tedious recipes!

Nuts, cancel the soup and bread. I don't have any bread flour, will wait until I go out tomorrow and stop at Sauders for some bread flour. So leftovers again today.
