And it's "soda" as in So duh

Accent is Northeast.

Dialect is from all parts of the country....
Im Milwaukee, a drinking fountain is called a Bubbler. You also "take da bus dat bends da corner around hey", and "Go by..." meaning to go past something or arrive at a destination.

In West Texas you swim or fish in a "Tank", and not a pond.

In Southern Missouri, you take a "Tur" (tour)..

In Chicago you ride Lake Michigan on a "BoaTTTTTTT" (exemplifying the T a lot)

And so it goes my dialect travels in a small part.
