BraveHeart, I take it you're a Minnesota fan.
Do you believe Morneau was MVP of the
Twins team ???

My opinion:

1) Mauer
2) Santana
3) Morneau

Joe Cowley voted Jeter 6th

If you disagree, here is his email:

jcowley@suntimes.com

They should revoke his voting rights.

You have to remember the real intent of the MVP award.
It is NOT who was the best player last year,
it is intended to be given to the player that made the biggest difference to his team w/l wise had he not been there.
Morneau had 20 homers and 33 more ribs that jeter while hitting .321.
I can see someone voting him 6th behing Mauer,Morneau,Santana,Ortiz,Vlad, even Tejada of the O's because as bad as they were without Tejada they would have been 10 games worse.
And people forget a pitcher should have equal rights to be the MVP also, especially when you pull off the equivelent of the triple crown like Santana did,led the league in wins, strikeouts and ERA.
Personally I think Pujols has much more of a bitch coming in second than Jeter does.
If the Yankees weren't part of the equasion I doubt Jeter would have been in the top 5.

I think he would have won if the Yanks weren't in the equasion, because on any other team, he WOULD have been the MVP.
