Use a turkey bag or try deep frying.

WLR, I'd love to, but we don't have room in this teensy kitchen for a deep fryer. However I did find in the antique store a old enamel turkey roaster, and it's been in the oven with a seasoning of three color pepper, sea salt, fresh rosemary, sage and tamarind slices in the bottom.
I just started the potatoes/carrots and stuffing.
This is so fun!

I think the biggest mistake people make is over cooking the turkey and drying it out.

Thank you, I'll let Lo tell ya what he thinks of the turkey but personally I think it's a winner.
This has been fun, now I can relax!

Reilley I spent a bit of time homeless, and was in a VA hospital for several months.....all that time kinda added up. When I lived in SF well, it wasn't really my kitchen.

So, yeap it's been at least 5 years since I cooked my own thanksgiving dinner.

oh, really? And precisely how, Gio? You do ice fishing....so I know you're not a vegetarian.
I've had a weekend of a dream, with laughter, fun and it's still going on...even if it is sandwhiches. The soups cooking and we're watching old films on DVD.
Guess what, I don't regret this, it's almost our first year anniversary. Our first Thanksgiving was a bit early, we didn't want to wait
