Yes they might clear cut a area,but new trees will be planted..Sometimes you need to do this , in order to support new vegitation which also supports new habitat and food for certain species..I think there is a plan behind this so called madness.If there isn't then im against it.I also think the national forest gets some of the kick back for the new trees,trail and campground maintenace,enviromental control and patrol..etc....

Yes it is but that happens when we have these thaws. The ground is not really frozen yet and it has gotten worse at times since January. You can grade in in the wintertime it is a waste of time, effert & fuel

Last weekend it was soo bad that people with cars had to worry about getting stuck. I have a 4 wh. dr. truck and it was still rough. Funny but Burnthill rd. is not nearly as bad.How about putting down some stone?

FLNF is near and dear to my heart also, I have been there every week since feb. 2001 lots of hiking and camping and I live 40 miles away, but it seems potomac road is about as bad as I have seen it.
