Been down the Jersey shore all weekend checking out the new digs on LBI. Outta touch, saw on mlb that the Bombers lost on Friday and Saturday. Took drastic measures. Took the magnetic "NY" off the company car and listened to the game on the radio today driving north. Picked it up at up 10-3. Started bleeding runs, had to turn it off. Missed all the run scoring but don't care. Yanks won. You do what you have to do to help your team win.

p.s. Tino it's

BERN...BABY...BERN!!!

GO YANKEES!!!

Sweet video, especially Melky's catch and Damon's reaction. Gotta credit Cashman for not including Cabrera or Cano in any trades the past few years. Vison!!!

I have to admit that I cant explain how the Yankees are in front by 10 games. No Shef, no Matsui and then Cano out for awhile there, then to top it off, the A-Rod saga. Good trades, rookies stepping up, Bernie being Bernie--must better than Manny being Manny--, and surprising pitching. This meltdown by the Sox rivals the one in 1978. I honestly believe that Torre deserves manager of the year. The one thing that really concerns me is if the Yankees have to play the Angels in the playoffs. There is just something about them that worries me. Anyway, just thought I would put some thoughts here.

Matsui back with a bang, Sheffield may play this weekend against the Red Sox, outfield now is real crowded. Not a bad problem for Joe Torre to have.

Yankees magic number is 9. They could clinch the AL East this weekend against the Red Sox. That would be sweet.

Speaking of those Red Sox I think their season is over. Too bad. Classic October baseball includes the Yanks and Sox not just one. Going to miss them. (Seriously, I'm going to miss them. I'm not kidding.)

Jim Kaat's final broadcasting game pushed from yesterday to night I guess. He has been GREAT! Going to miss him.

SHOW ME DEREK JETER'S FACE...when I click on the stats icon on mlb.com!!!

FINALLY there it is. Leading basebal in batTing average. But he won't get MVP because David Ortiz has purportedly stated that to be the MVP you have to hit home runs and drive in runs. Oh yeah, David? How about playing the field every day? That does not matter. Just ask Phil Rizutto what it takes to be the MVP.

I cannot wait to hear the serenade of "MVP,MVP" when Jeter comes to bat and maybe a "NOT...THE...MVP" when Ortiz come up today. Today and tomorrow should be wild in the Bronx.

I've hoped the Red SOx would make a serious run at the wild card but now that they have folded up their tents I want to see this weekend end with the Sox behind by 15 1/2 games in the standings and all REPEATING Pedro's line "I GUESS THEY'RE MY DADDY".

I see the Yanks have put up A-Dog as their poster boy/fall guy when they crash and burn AGAIN this post season!

'Roid Boy Update: She-effie and Juicambi skate!

The Juicers are still making their millions while the justice system locks up reporters for contempt. What irony!

Uh huh.. and do you forget that they were interested in Schilling as well? Wonder why that is? Also, how much do you want to bet that during the juicer era, there were more than a few BoSox with suspect back acne?

Yes Sheff and Giambi admitted it.. More power to them. Do you really think they were the only ones? I'm starting to believe Conseco.. 30% - 50%, not out of the realm of possibility.

Never heard the 'roid boys' admit to anything. She-eff denied he knew what he was doing was wrong (RIGHT!) and Juice apologized but never said what he was apologizing for.

If any SOX are discovered to be JUICERS, KICK 'em the HELL out. Til then, Gary, Barry and Jay are IT!
