Are you referring to tax rates or the taxes people actually pay? Given the higher assessed values there, the dollars may end up being close.

How about HWS make a donation so 2 police officers are not cut out of the city budget?

So now it's OK to use a 2011 FLT article to comment on a 2020 issue? Maybe you'd like to find some FLT coverage of the Dred Scott decision to apply to current events?

If the money is such a big deal why aren't City Council offering up their salaries to help out?

Did HWS take the lead in suing the city(taxpayer)?

They were supposed to just fork over the money to an illegal scheme? I think the city knew they'd never win in court and were delighted to settle for what they got. You really want to raise some money? Start finding ways to charge town residents for access to businesses (like the hospital) in the city.

Happy to be charged for access to non-profits in the Town once you have a property tax.

Seneca Terrace, GGH Surgery Center, Community Center. I believe there is at least 1 church in the town. But this is a moot question until there is a town property tax.

See previous post - all of these installations are in the Town, paying employees, charging fees - how else would you define "business"?

What is the percentage of tax exempt properties in the city of Canandaigua?

Is it nearly 70% yet?
