Trump Revs Up Crowd at Daytona 500, First President Grand Marshall
Bronson Stocking|Posted: Feb 16, 2020 4:55 PM

President Trump and First Lady Melania arrived in style at the Daytona 500 NASCAR Race on Sunday. Air Force One flew overhead, some mere 800 feet or so above the speedway. While it was the fifth time Donald Trump has attended the Daytona race, it was the first time Trump attended as president. The commander-in-chief made history on Sunday as the first president ever tapped as Grand Marshall to kickoff The Great American Race.

After jetting over the raceway on Air Force One, the president and Melania then entered the Daytona International Speedway and made a lap around the track in the president's 10-ton armored Cadillac sedan, dubbed "The Beast."

The raucous crowd erupted in chants of "Four more years" and "USA" when the First Couple exited "The Beast" and stepped foot on the raceway.

With Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" playing in the background, the president and First Lady took the stage to address the more than 100,000 people who attended this year's race.

"My fellow race fans," Trump said to the crowd, "there is no greater thrill than to join you at the world center of racing for the 62nd Daytona 500. So exciting. The Daytona 500 is a legendary display of roaring engines, soaring spirits, and the American skill, speed and power that we've been hearing about for so many years. The tens of thousands of patriots here today have come for the fast cars and the world-class motorsports but NASCAR fans never forget that no matter who wins the race what matters most is God, family and country."

The president then welcomed Gold Star families in attendance and those watching all across America. "Your fallen warriors will live in our hearts forever," the president declared.

Trump acknowledged Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, also in attendance, who the president awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor to last summer. Ballavia is currently the only living recipient to receive the prestigious award for his heroic actions in the Iraq War. The commander-in-chief then thanked all new and current enlistees of the U.S. Armed Forces.

While other presidents have attended the popular race in the past, President Trump is the first commander-in-chief to deliver the "start your engines" signature command as Grand Marshall of the great American race.

"Daytona International Speedway, we love our country and it's truly an honor to be with all of you The Great American Race," Trump began.

The president then delivered the most famous words in motorsports, "Gentlemen, start your engines," as fighter jets raced overhead.

After pacing the field for a moment, the president hopped on an officials' radio and addressed the drivers and crew members participating in Sunday's race.

"Drivers, this is President Trump. It was an honor to open the Daytona 500. Have a phenomenal day. Have a great race, be safe. God bless you. We love you."

In an interview with Fox Sports' Jamie Little, the president admired the bravery of the drivers and said he likes watching NASCAR races for the speed and technology of the cars. And while Trump isn't allowed to drive any car himself as president, Trump told Jamie Little that his goal for the day was to "hop into one of these cars and get into this race, if possible."

First president as Grand Marshall, definitely a sign of desperation when the best you can offer is a president who is the official starter of a car race...in actuality, this is how most of the world perceives him.

One would think that a very simplistic visit from the president would go without a hitch but everything this man touches becomes a huge joke.

Hey cwjga, I know where you can pick up a pair of whips and chains to go along with you arsenal of tools you use for self torture. To suggest that the majority of the world seeks underground web sites as their primary source of information is as ignorant as you reading the National Geographic is lieu of buying the Playboy magazine for your personal jollys.

Leftists Angered over the Daytona 500 Should Blow it Out Their Tailpipes
Todd Starnes

The Centers for Disease Control is grappling with a massive outbreak of Trump Derangement Syndrome among Democrats and the Mainstream Media following pre-race festivities on Sunday at the Daytona 500.

President Trump was named grand marshal of "The Great American Race" and his appearance sent leftists scampering to their designated safe spaces.

Tens of thousands of race fans cheered, "USA, USA" as Air Force One flew about 800 feet over the speedway as "America the Beautiful" played over the public address system.

When the president arrived he was greeted with spectators waving "Make America Great Again" flags and chants of "four more years."

"It doesn't get more American than this," NASCAR driver Joey Logano said.

And then he did what no other sitting president has done - he took a lap around the track. "The Beast" was the official pace car of the race.

Among those breaking out into a flop-sweat was New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman. She accused the president of "using the official apparatus of government for what appears to be a political event."

It's as if she's already writing the first draft of another round of Articles of Impeachment: Abuse of the White House Motor Pool.

NBC White House Correspondent Kelly O’Donnell noted that the trip to Daytona was an “official White House event.” Meaning, that the president’s appearance and trip around the track in “The Beast,” was paid for by the “taxpayers.”

And as near as I could tell the American taxpayers overwhelmingly approved of the president's visit.

So why were so many Pajama Boy Snowflakes and Mexican Man Shoe Feminists so bothered by the Daytona 500?

Could it be that the race started with an invocation that included a preacher praying in the name of Jesus? Or was it the fact that no one took a knee during the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner? Or maybe it was the display of so much red-blooded "toxic masculinity"?

I contend Ms. Haberman and Ms. O'Donnell were more upset with the people in the stands. President Trump explained why in his address to the fans.

"NASCAR fans never forget that no matter who wins the race, what matters most is God, family and country," he declared.

The reason why Democrats and the Mainstream Media suffered a sudden onset of Trump Derangement Syndrome is because NASCAR values are the antithesis of everything the leftists stand for - freedom, liberty, patriotism.

The president's lap around the Daytona International Speedway was a victory lap for gun-toting, Bible-clinging, flag-waving patriots. Well done, Mr. President.

And if you've got a problem with that, might I kindly suggest you blow it out your tailpipe.

Don't Trump supporters know that God, family and country mean absolutely nothing to Trump? How blind can they be?

Report: FBI Handed Over Classified Information To Spy Christopher Steele

FEBRUARY 14, 2020 By Madeline Osburn
Inspector General Michael Horowitz discovered that FBI agents shared extensive classified materials with former British spy Christopher Steele, despite knowing the Democratic National Committee was paying Steele and that Hillary Clinton herself was aware of Steele’s research, according to a new report by Eric Felten at RealClearInvestigations.

FBI agents met with Steele in Rome just a month before the 2016 election, where they gave him a “general overview” of Crossfire Hurricane as well as details of the cases against Trump campaign staffers Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, and Michael Flynn. In addition to the intel, Steele was compensated $15,000 by the FBI for attending the three-hour meeting.

According to Felten, the FBI agent referred to as “Handling Agent 1″ in the Horowitz report is FBI agent Michael Gaeta, who worked on cases fighting organized crime in Russia. Gaeta and Steele met working on the investigation of corruption at international soccer organization FIFA. “Between 2014 and 2016, Steele collected $95,000 from the bureau for his work on the FIFA case and reports on corruption in Russia and Ukraine,” Felten reports. Gaeta became Steele’s go-to for work and began feeding Gaeta information on Trump and Russia connections that would eventually form the “dossier.”

Felten points out that the FBI took extra measures internally to keep Crossfire Hurricane confidential. It was considered both “prohibited,” meaning it could be accessed only by agents officially working on the case, and “close-hold,” meaning information was known only by DOJ and FBI officials. Yet despite the appearance of classified intel, the FBI was eager to meet with Steele, even with the knowledge of his DNC connections.

The FBI had every reason to expect Steele to share information with Glenn Simpson, whose client was the Clinton campaign. Steele claims to have been “candid” with Gaeta about who was writing the checks for his Trump-Russia research. Steele took notes of the July 5 meeting he had with the “handling agent.” According to the Horowitz report, those notes state that Steele told Gaeta “Democratic Party associates” were funding his Fusion GPS work, that the “ultimate client” was the Clinton campaign, and that “the candidate,” as the IG report puts it, “was aware of Steele’s reporting.”

Horowitz’s IG report implies that permission was given to share classified information simply by the presence of the “section chief” at the meeting with Steele. “FBI Security staff told us [the IG’s office] that the Assistant Director for CD [Counterintelligence Division] can authorize the disclosure of classified information,” reads a footnote in the report.

When Felten asked if this was FBI policy, or if there is record of this authorization being granted, Office of the Inspector General spokeswoman Stephanie M. Logan declined to comment.
