Trump's claims of inheriting a depleted and antiquated readiness task force to fight the pandemic once again been blown to smithereens, he is a blatant liar who hated Obama so much that he eliminated this task force back in 2018, only to have his narcissist and racist fueled actions come back to bite him. All his rollbacks on fuel economy , fresh air equality and environmental protection is the last of our concerns now. Remember the Republican lead "Repeal and replace" in regards to health insurance? Millions of Americans are out of any coverage which existed for million of more prior to this devastating disease. I wonder how many millions of individuals who lacked decent drinking water, decent school systems, food to put on their tables, decent jobs to effectively pay their bills are now sitting back to say "We've been saying all along that a record stock market and low unemployment rate is doing absolutely nothing for us"?
Even Bernie Sanders talked of student loan forgiveness while the Conservatives criticized him as a bleeding Liberal & socialist, how many are now seeking loan waivers and mortgage relief? A lesson reiterated for those cognitive to human suffering, a "I try to tell you" toward those who were so arrogant and selfish to think about the plight of others outside of their own needs. Today's politics has the entire country polarized to the extent of down right hatred toward one another, so I ask the question as a Republican, Democrat, Independent etc.....tell us how being aligned with any of these party absolve you from the current situation? it would be a great time to share those Conservative advantages before it's too late for the rest of us.

U.S. Will Give Terrorist Label to White Supremacist Group for First Time

By Charlie Savage, Adam Goldman and Eric Schmitt
April 6, 2020 NY Times

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is expected to announce on Monday that it is designating an ultranationalist group based in Russia as a terrorist organization, according to officials. It is the first time the government will apply the label to a white supremacist group.

While the label of specially designated global terrorist has been frequently used for Islamist extremists, there have been growing concerns among U.S. officials about violent white supremacists with transnational links over the past five years. In 2018, the White House added that threat to the government’s National Strategy for Counterterrorism.

“These designations are unprecedented,” said Ambassador Nathan A. Sales, the State Department’s counterterrorism coordinator. “This is the first time the United States has ever designated white supremacists as terrorists, and this illustrates how seriously this administration takes the white supremacist terrorist threat. We are doing things no previous administration has done to counter this threat.”

The State Department’s designation for the organization, the Russian Imperial Movement, sets up the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control to block any American property or assets belonging to the group. It will also bar Americans from financial dealings with the organization and make it easier to ban its members from traveling to the United States.

The United States is also designating three of the group’s leaders — Stanislav Anatolyevich Vorobyev, Denis Valliullovich Gariev and Nikolay Nikolayevich Trushchalov — as individual terrorists who will face similar sanctions, the officials said.

The authority for either the Treasury Department or the State Department to deem a group or an individual a specially designated global terrorist traces back to an executive order issued by President George W. Bush after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. President Trump in September signed an executive order expanding that authority to cover groups that provide training for terrorists even if the groups are not directly linked to any attack.

The system parallels in some ways but is different from when the government designates a group as a foreign terrorist organization, which has separate criteria and applies only to groups rather than individuals.

Ambassador Nathan A. Sales said the United States government was continuing to look for other white supremacist groups or individuals who met the criteria for sanctions.Credit...Yara Nardi/Reuters
The move could cut against criticism that the Trump administration has played down the threat of white nationalist violence for political reasons, based on the so-called alt-right’s support for Mr. Trump and his statement in 2017 that there were “very fine people on both sides” of a deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va.

The Russian Imperial Movement is not considered to be sponsored by the Russian government, officials said, although President Vladimir V. Putin has tolerated its activities and it has helped advance the Russian government’s external goals by recruiting Russian fighters to aid pro-Russia separatists in eastern Ukraine.

The group has also helped support neo-Nazi organizations in Scandinavia, which dovetails with the Russian government’s broader pattern of trying to stoke internal divisions, including along racial lines, and sow chaos in Western democracies.

In 2017, the Russian Imperial Movement came up at a trial in Sweden of three men who were accused of plotting bomb attacks targeting asylum seekers. Prosecutors said two of the defendants had traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia, to attend 11 days of paramilitary training at a camp operated by the group, fueling their radicalization.

Mr. Sales said the group operated two facilities in St. Petersburg that offered paramilitary training to neo-Nazis and white supremacists. He said the United States had assessed that the camps were “likely being used for woodland and urban assault, tactical weapons and hand-to-hand combat training.”

Mary McCord, a former head of the Justice Department’s National Security Division, said that until now, the counterterrorism sanctions system had overwhelmingly been used against Islamist extremist groups. She called its expansion to a white supremacist group significant.

“It is important,” she said. “Far-right extremist causes, in particular white supremacy and white nationalism, have become more international. It is appropriate for the State Department to have been scrutinizing whether there are organizations that meet the criteria for that designation because with it, the organization becomes poison in terms of doing business with it or providing funds, goods or services to it.”

The move is also another example of the Trump administration expanding its use of the power Congress granted to the executive branch to impose sanctions on groups by designating them foreign terrorist organizations. Last year, under a separate authority, the United States designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, an arm of the Iranian military, as a foreign terrorist group — the first time it gave that label to a nation-state entity.

Concerns have been escalating for several years that there is a growing transnational white supremacist or alt-right movement, as illustrated by the 2019 mass shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, by an Australian man who streamed the killings of 51 people on Facebook Live.

Against that backdrop, national security officials are said to have been searching for a neo-Nazi-style group that the U.S. government could designate as a foreign terrorist organization.

One challenge to finding an appropriate candidate was that designating a group with significant American ties would also raise major First Amendment issues, officials said. Although a Russian Imperial Movement member has visited the United States, the organization does not appear to have domestic members. It is not clear if the group has provided training to U.S.-based neo-Nazis.

Fighting domestic terrorism, including violent white nationalists, has become a priority for the F.B.I. Federal and local authorities have made a wave of arrests in recent months, targeting members of two neo-Nazi groups called Atomwaffen Division and The Base.

The F.B.I. has been investigating whether the leader of The Base, who lives in St. Petersburg, has any ties to the Russian government’s security or intelligence services, former law enforcement officials said.

Mr. Sales said they were continuing to look for other white supremacist groups or individuals who met the criteria for sanctions, but declined to comment on any specifics.

The designation of the Russian Imperial Movement would make it easier for the F.B.I. to open sanctions-evasion investigations into Americans who appear to have ties to the group, just as it can with Islamist groups like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State or Hezbollah.

So it looks like NYC stockpiled 9500 ventilators in 2006 along with M95 masks.

Deblasio auctioned off the ventilators and disposed of the masks.

Fourteen years ago, Mayor Bloomberg released a pandemic plan for New York City and began stockpiling ventilators and N95 masks.

Mayor de Blasio later auctioned off the ventilators and disposed of the masks.

Lets be perfectly clear son, when anyone screws up, let them be accountable whether they be Liberal or Conservative, so this "gotha moment" is entirely petty and childish. When you can show citation that Obama, Bill Clinton and lastly Trump did every thing perfect then we have a great baseline to work from, I intentionally submit a citation with link to support your finding, lets be clear, if you were perfect, you, like myself would be retired, living high on the hog, driving new vehicles and enjoying life to the fullest but as we all know, somewhere along the line you screwed up royally as a devout Republican, tell us, how in the heck did this "dumb and stupid" Democrat do sooooo much better for himself? Or is it a matter of ignorance along with lacking skill, education, common sense and good luck that factors into all our lives?

"I alone can fix it"
Donald J. Trump

https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/451050-president-trump-said-i-alone-can-fix-it-has-he

How many remember those words?
It would be unfair to lay the entire blame on Trump during this pandemic but logically he has to share a lot of the blame himself seeing that new data now reveals the fact that he ignorantly ignored factual information back in January, being warned several times which defies his continual lies of being hit unexpectedly. I witness my Brother and his wife struggle to deal with the death of their son in the Middle East conflict, a huge lie told by GW Bush placed thousands of military personell in harm's way ultimately resulting in 6000 deaths, my Nephew being one of them. I can only imagine the anger and frustration in dealing with needless deaths, especially when many could have been prevented if certain actions did not take place. The horrid of this man, he rather throw the blame on anything and anyone without taking some responsibility. Lastly, Trump almost claimed to be similar to another New York figure named Don, Teflon Don to be exact. Poetically so, he like another mob boss Alphonse Capone, seem almost untouchable but never factor in a fatal disease being your downfall.

Tell us Cwjga, since you appear to be an religious person, why did God allow this pandemic at this particular time? I find it very poetic that Donald Trump spent 8 years denigrating, criticizing and putting down President Obama, as of today, what rewards have he garnered for his efforts? All the advancement of employment and a bullish stock market shadowed the reality for many who still lacked decent jobs and housing. Nothing spoken by Republicans about a massive lack of health insurance. I find it very sobering that Trump's demonized smirk has been swiped clean off his face now to be replaced by demeaning lies and fits of anger, again Cwjga, why has this virus visited us of all time being that Donald Trump is "The Chosen One"?

Black Georgia Democrat: Screw Joe Biden. I'm Voting For Trump
Matt Vespa

Donald Trump got eight percent of the black vote in 2016. It’s not great but certainly better than Mitt Romney’s showing in 2012. It’s not terrible. If we can break into double-digit territory, that would be tremendous, and I think we can do it. For Georgia State Democratic Representative Vernon Jones, who he’s going to vote for might shocked many in his party: he’s on the MAGA train. Screw Biden, he’s backing Trump for the 2020 election and the reasons are sound. Trump has led a stellar economy, though one that’s now crippled due to China’s incompetence of controlling a new pneumonia-like virus, COVID-19. But that will be rebuilt in due time, as long as people keep social distancing to slow the spread. Davis also noted Trump’s commitment to criminal justice reform as another. Biden was one of the supporters of the 1994 crime omnibus bill that led to scores of black Americans being locked up (via The Hill):

Jones told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was not switching parties but praised Trump’s policies on certain issues.

“It’s very simple to me. President Trump’s handling of the economy, his support for historically black colleges and his criminal justice initiatives drew me to endorse his campaign,” Jones told the newspaper.

“There are a lot of African Americans who clearly see and appreciate he’s doing something that’s never been done before,” Jones added. “When you look at the unemployment rates among black Americans before the pandemic, they were at historic lows. That’s just a fact.”

[…]

“A generation of African American families have been devastated by draconian policies that Joe Biden supported and voted for when he served in the U.S. Senate,” Jones said in a statement to CBS 46. “A change was needed and President Trump took action.”

Nikema Williams, the chairwoman of Georgia’s Democratic Party, condemned Jones in a fiery response, calling him an “embarrassment” and someone who does “not stand for our values.”

Yeah, that’s typical. You cannot think for yourself if you join the Democratic Party. Prior to the Wuhan coronavirus, black unemployment was at its lowest ever. In fact, historic low unemployment was across the board. Good on Mr. Jones for backing the president who has worked to get this economy going again. As Trump has said often on the campaign trail, “the best is yet to come.” But first, let’s navigate our way out of this Wuhan outbreak.

Elise Stefanik Raises 1.5M in Quarter One
Reagan McCarthy

Rep. Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) re-election campaign announced a huge fundraising haul in quarter one. The rising GOP star brought in over $1.5 million in the first quarter alone, leaving Rep. Stefanik with $4 million in cash-on-hand thus far for her re-election in November.

The haul included an average donation of $35 from 43,000 individual donors, including 22,000 first-time donors, indicating that Rep. Stefanik’s outreach effort is effective. Likewise, E-PAC, a fundraising group launched by Rep. Stefanik, which exclusively supports GOP women running for Congress, raised $150,000 in quarter one, totaling $750,000 since its relaunch for the 2020 cycle. E-PAC donated $350,000 thus far to female GOP candidates, and assisted in raising an additional $100,000 for those GOP women running for Congress. E-PAC saw a huge sweep of wins in Super Tuesday primaries, and is well-positioned to help elect a substantial amount of GOP women to Congress in November.

As her district's small businesses feel the economic effects of COVID-19, Rep. Stefanik supports financial relief for small businesses across America. Democrats continue to block funding for the Paycheck Protection Program.

We need additional funds immediately to fund the Small Business Paycheck Protection Program.

This should not be held up by Pelosi and Schumer.

Rep. Stefanik has also emerged as a fierce supporter of accountability for the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) role in the spread of COVID-19, which was elevated by the World Health Organization. She joined Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) in pushing for a bicameral resolution to launch an international investigation into China’s cover-up.

Rep. Stefanik is challenged by progressive challenger Tedra Cobb, but Cook Political Report, Inside Elections and Crystal Ball all rate the race as “Solid Republican.”

Newly Unclassified Footnotes Show FBI Knew Documents Used For FISA Warrants Were Bogus
Katie Pavlich

Thanks to newly declassified and released footnotes from Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, it is confirmed the FBI knew the Steele dossier -- a false document full of Russian propaganda that was cobbled together by Fusion GPS on behalf of the Clinton campaign -- was used by agents to pursue FISA warrants even though they knew it was unreliable.

"Despite multiple reports in 2017 warning that claims in an anti-Trump dossier were 'false' and 'part of a Russian disinformation campaign,' the FBI continued to rely on the Democrat-funded opposition research to spy on a Trump campaign aide. The once-classified details contained in footnotes of the Justice Department Inspector General’s postmortem of the FBI’s flawed spying operation were unmasked at the repeated urging of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.)" Grassley released Wednesday night.

"Earlier this month, the Justice Department provided the senators with a partially-declassified version of three footnotes following their January request, but key information detailing exactly when the FBI became aware of exculpatory intelligence reports remained redacted. The new material, provided with the assistance of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, sheds new light on the remaining redactions as well as additional information that was previously classified in the IG report," the release continues.

Details in the footnotes reveal the FBI knew the dossier wasn't credible before applying for FISA renewals on at least one Trump campaign official. This information was also known before the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Adding insult to injury, Russian intelligence officials were aware of Steele's investigation into the Trump campaign in July 2016. This information helped Russia with disinformation campaigns against the United States.

"Having reviewed the matter, and having consulted the heads of the relevant Intelligence Community elements, I have declassified the enclosed footnotes. I consulted with the Attorney General William Barr, and he has authorized the ODNI to say that he concurs in the declassification insofar as it relates to DOJ equities," Acting DNI Director Richard Grenell wrote in a letter to Grassley and Johnson with the attached footnotes.

Further, the "FBI had open counterintelligence case on Steele’s key source, but failed to apprise the FISA Court" and "despite repeated warnings of tainted evidence, FBI continuously sought FISA renewals."

“As we can see from these now-declassified footnotes in the IG’s report, Russian intelligence was aware of the dossier before the FBI even began its investigation and the FBI had reports in hand that their central piece of evidence was most likely tainted with Russian disinformation,” Senators Grassley and Johnson said about the confirmed revelations.

“Thanks to Attorney General Barr’s and Acting Director Grenell’s declassification of the footnotes, we know the FBI’s justification to target an American Citizen was riddled with significant flaws. Inspector General Michael Horowitz and his team did what neither the FBI nor Special Counsel Mueller cared to do: examine and investigate corruption at the FBI, the sources of the Steele dossier, how it was disseminated, and reporting that it contained Russian disinformation," they continued.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, the Democrat who bolstered the Special Counsel investigation and led the impeachment crusade against President Trump, has always maintained the FISA process used against the Trump campaign was done properly and legally. All of the evidence, further backed by the declassified footnotes, is to the contrary.
