Question Son, if all these illegal immigrants were arrested at a packing plant, how did they LEGALLY gain employment? A question that primarily hypocritical Whites fail to acknowledge. My best friend is White and so are may of my great acquaintance, thus the reason that you'll never get the opportunity to label or validly call me a racist. You know why these people seek to come to America, to do the dirty work that many lazy Americans care not do. A true racist is one that lay all ills in society on the minority while failing to accept their own faults and misgivings.

The Truth About Gun Control and Racism
Ken Blackwell · Aug. 9, 2019

America’s founders understood that the right to own firearms — the right to use effectual force to defend oneself, one’s family, one’s neighborhood, one’s nation—was the difference between a mere subject and a free, independent, equal citizen. The United States was designed to enjoy a government of, by, and for the people, as President Lincoln put it. To that end every citizen was entitled, and often required, to own firearms. On the frontier, defending the community was the responsibility of every man.

For black communities, however, the threat has rarely come from invading Redcoats or marauding Indians. Few Americans remember today that the first task of the Ku Klux Klan was to disarm the black population in the South. Even fewer know that citizen militias repelled white mobs attacking black neighborhoods in many Northern cities in the days before the Civil War. On at least two occasions, those militias were composed entirely of black gun owners. Few Americans realize that during the freedom struggles of the 1960s, civil rights workers of all races were protected by organized black militias in at least three Southern states.

Despite this heritage of responsible and effective use of firearms, equal citizenship has frequently been denied to black Americans through the use of gun control laws. Such laws were used to keep firearms out of the hands of African Americans—to deny their very equality as human beings—from the earliest colonial days through the end of Jim Crow in 1965. Many would argue that even today, blacks continue to suffer disproportionate harm from gun control laws, as major cities deny legal firearms to the residents of high-crime urban neighborhoods.

Many black political leaders need to rethink their opposition to the Second Amendment. By supporting government infringement of the right to bear arms, they are not only violating the Constitution, they are robbing their fellow blacks of the ability to defend themselves and relegating them to second-class citizenship.

The American Civil Rights Union (ACRU) was one of the early voices relating civil rights for African Americans and their 2nd Amendment rights. This report “ The Truth About Gun Control, Racism and Genocide” exposes information often suppressed by mainstream media.

Why? Because of the uncomfortable truth that Democrats sought to keep guns from African Americans. And, in fact, Democrats utilized the Ku Klux Klan to oppress black Americans. But that difficult piece of information should not keep us from examining our history and using those lessons to protect the civil liberties of all Americans today.

The 1st and 2nd Amendments of our Constitution are the great equalizers. However, we have seen from history that if the 2nd Amendment is compromised, then 1st Amendment rights deteriorate quickly. Freedom for all Americans is dependent on both. And any political party that undermines those rights is making the minority community most vulnerable. I encourage Democrats to learn from their uncomfortable history and I urge Republicans in Congress to not infringe on the rights of Americans to defend themselves in any way. Law-abiding Americans deserve the right to defend themselves.

Look up the word GAS LIGHTING, it's defined as attempting to convince someone or group that something is there whereas in reality it's not. Over the last 3 years Trump has taken people with mental illness, racists mindsets, hatred and any situation that defys logic and common sense realizing that these people hate success and diversity and will do anything to have their agendas placed into action, even to the point of hurting themselves. Presently we have increased gun violence, homelessness, high school drop out rates, drug usage, suicide rates are up, hate crime has tripled, consumer cost has risen exponentially while wages grown stagnant but in spite of reality, Trump voters won't admit his failure because of any aforementioned items makes them liars....Cwjga, why are you not on this site at your advanced age which usually contain retirees? Answer, you and Trump supporters are willing to watch our system fail itself and others simply for the reason(s) that reality opposes and defies your own hangups.Keep up the fine posting Sir....while we Liberals observe "THE WIZARD" continue to pull levers and use smoke and mirrors to satisfy your yearnings.

Finally some closure for the Garner family but lets see what materializes over the next several weeks due to the fact that fellow officers lied thus allowing this crooked cop to work for the last 5 years without the benefit of punishment or reprimand.

How is it possible? The racist misogynist just can't get past the fact that a Women and Black man are immensely smarter and more intelligent than himself. It's called obsessive behavior whereas neither Obama nor Hillary lose any sleep over this insecure excuse of a human being.

Have you ever met a former beauty queen who has seen her best days and gained many pounds? It appears that Trump placed all his eggs into a economy created by Obama and rode said economy until now, the loser never gave thought to tactics or policies which can sustain a healthy economy but spent his time destroying everything else...Trump supporters can care more or less because their and Trump's ignorance supposedly only harm Democrats....another sign of Trumpism lunacy.

Have you ever wonder why Republicans imply negative connotations when using the word LIBERAL but based on their own actions, they can't follow their own mindset without fear of retaliation from Trump. He has hijacked the entire party while no GOP speaks out to his demands, evident today by his tariff debacle and ORDERING corporation to find alternatives to US purchases...who beside dictators ORDER it's citizen to do his bidding, yet we are witnessing our fellow Republicans bow to his whims. YES, we LIBERALS still have the capacity to think for ourselves and screw Trump if he don't like it...........

Mr. Trump, maybe here in American, your unorthodox and buffoonish tactics works among your supporters and constituents but for the balance of intelligent Americans who are wise to your antics and the globe, you've been "OUTED" and people really don't have to contend with your ignorance. Yes you show up in your full glory but sadly intellect, diplomacy and honesty failed to get a ride on Air force one,now that we think of it, your behavioral debacles are very famous back here in the states among the unorthodox thinkers but failing among the wise and concerned.

Americans’ View of the Current Economy Is the Highest in 19 Years
By Reade Pickert
August 27, 2019,

U.S. consumer confidence declined in August by less than forecast as Americans’ assessment of current conditions climbed to the highest level in almost 19 years, helped by a job market that remains robust.

The Conference Board’s index eased to 135.1 this month from a revised 135.8, according to data from the New York-based group Tuesday that exceeded all estimates in a Bloomberg survey of economists. The gauge of views on the present situation jumped to 177.2, the highest since November 2000, the expectations index decreased.

Key Insights

-The reading shows hiring and income gains are keeping consumers upbeat and assuaging concerns about the economy’s prospects in light of slowing global growth, volatile financial markets and escalating U.S.-China trade tensions. The level of confidence could allow for sustained household spending that remains a mainstay of the economy.

-The share of respondents who say jobs are currently plentiful jumped to 51.2%, the highest since September 2000, while the share saying jobs are hard to get declined to the lowest in three months.

-The expectations gauge declined to 107 from 112.4 as the outlook for business conditions and incomes eased.

-The report follows other confidence gauges that suggest consumer sentiment may be wavering in the U.S. The University of Michigan’s gauge dropped to the lowest level since January this month, and Bloomberg’s weekly comfort measure recently saw its largest back-to-back slide since 2011.

Official’s View
“While other parts of the economy may show some weakening, consumers have remained confident and willing to spend,” Lynn Franco, senior director of economic indicators at the Conference Board, said in a statement. “However, if the recent escalation in trade and tariff tensions persists, it could potentially dampen consumers’ optimism regarding the short-term economic outlook.”

Get More
Plans to buy cars increased, while plans to buy appliances and homes eased.
The difference between the shares of those saying jobs are plentiful and hard to get, known as the labor differential, widened to 39.4, the biggest gap since November 2000.
The share of respondents who anticipate interest rates to be lower a year from now increased to 27.3%, the highest since March 2009.

I find it interesting that you supplant a lot of data in regard to the economy yet somehow manage to skip around one pertinent question posed you many time over "If the economy is SOOOO great, why are you still working beyond retirement age? answer, your turn for enrichment will be coming next month when the tariffs kicks in involving everything from groceries to heating fuel.
