In Pew Research Center polling in 2001, Americans opposed same-sex marriage by a margin of 57% to 35%.

Since then, support for same-sex marriage has steadily grown. And today, support for same-sex marriage is at its highest point since Pew Research Center began polling on this issue. Based on polling in 2017, a majority of Americans (62%) support same-sex marriage, while 32% oppose it.

How simple this is now!

Mueller needs only to ask Trump one question.

"Did you try to fire me?"

If Trump sys, "Yes", that is obstruction of justice.

If Trump says "NO", that is perjury.

In reality, the party isn't seeking honest answers anymore but would rather promote a platform for midterms elections, November won't be a pretty picture for the GOP solely for the fact that America is tired of the dishonesty & hatred coming from Trump and the party's lack of intervention to keep Trump in check.

Dems in Disarray: Bernie Admits Democrats Forced the Shutdown, Manchin Scolds Pelosi's Race-Baiting
Guy Benson

Sometimes political parties succeed in spite of themselves, and if Democrats end up having a big November, they'll do so despite internal strife, messaging incoherence and terrible arguments. After shutting down the government over immigration, an unpopular gambit, they tried to pin the blame on President Trump and the Republicans. Door A was, "the GOP is responsible!" Door B was, "you're g--damn right we ordered the code red!" Democrats have been clumsily bouncing back and forth between these two options, and Bernie Sanders has confirmed what we already knew -- of course it was a Democratic shutdown, he admits, calling it "the right thing to do:"

So much for that #TrumpShutdown hashtag and those placards Chuck Schumer had printed as messaging props for his speeches. Senate Democrats used the filibuster to close the government over the ancillary issue of immigration, then retreated when they failed. And speaking of immigration, an endangered red state Democrat is slapping down Nancy Pelosi's naked race-baiting in response to the White House's (rather generous) DREAM Act compromise offer:

U.S. Senator Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat, said on Sunday he thought a new White House immigration plan was a good starting point, and he criticized House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi for dismissing it as a way to “make America white again.” “We don’t need that type of rhetoric on either side, from Nancy, (Republican House Speaker) Paul Ryan or anybody else,” said Manchin, a West Virginian and a leader of a bipartisan Senate group working on immigration. Manchin’s comments highlighted differences among Democrats ahead of a Feb. 8 deadline for the U.S. Congress to pass another spending bill and try to reach an immigration agreement that would also protect up to 1.8 million illegal immigrants brought to the United States as children, a group known as “Dreamers,” from deportation.

Good thing Paul Ryan didn't say anything like what Pelosi said, right, Joe? Think about the context of her ugly smear for a moment: Trump had just suggested formalizing legal status and opening a path to citizenship to nearly two million DACA-eligible illegal immigrants, in addition to stepping up border security and a shifting from chain migration to a more merit-based legal immigration system, like the ones used by the UK and Canada. This was little different than white supremacy, according to the leading Democrat in the House of Representatives. That's insane, but it's typical of the Left's 'End of Discussion' approach to "debate," if that word even applies. Indeed, a Senate Democrat bomb thrower informed his Twitter followers that the term "chain migration" is a racist fiction unto itself, or something:

Chris Murphy
✔
@ChrisMurphyCT
Reminder: "chain migration" is a made up term by the hardline anti-immigration crowd. Its purpose is to dehumanize immigrants. If you're using that word, you're declaring a side.

You'd think a US Senator might understand the function, role and design of...the US Senate, but that may be asking a lot these days. And who wants to be the one to tell him that Republicans won the nationwide House 'popular vote' in 2016?

Let's talk about the current events such as racism (Trump's insult of Black employment and sh&$hole countries) the FBI second in command leader stepping down today, the lies being perpetrated on a daily basis concerning the Russian hacks, Trump's debacle in Switzerland while being booed by world leaders. The laughable aspect of the Republican narrative is another blame game or "she/he did this or that" Reality is so overwhelming in regard to the weakness of Trump and the Republican party, what do they have left to say is "But but but but" while pointing fingers.

Question, once a person has perjured themselves, lied to the American public in regard to Russian involvement, attempted to fire people solely for the reason(s) of investigations getting to close for comfort, how do you know when they're telling the truth after 2000 plus lies over the last 12 months? Now, moving forward, do you garner positive responses in a short 2 days or have you sealed you fate unless you can display a long and consistent trend of honesty? Democrats love consistency adverse to a GOP narrative which changes as frequently as a pair of underwear. grin

Trump is on a Nixonian collision course with the FBI

By Michael D'Antonio

FBI Director Christopher Wray is forcing the Trump White House to choose between the national interest and President Donald Trump's political hide.

Wray's formal opposition to the release of a secret partisan memo, supported by Republicans critical of the bureau, also sets the stage for a showdown over the future of the nation's most revered law enforcement agency which, before Trump, enjoyed longstanding support from the GOP.

Only Trump could separate the law-and-order party, as the Republicans have been known as for decades, from the FBI. He has done this as part of his larger effort to delegitimize all who have participated in various probes of Russian efforts to influence the 2016 election and other violations of criminal and civil law they might uncover.

According to Politico, Trump decided in mid-January that he would attack his own administration's Justice Department and FBI in response to the Robert Mueller probe. (The FBI provides resources for Mueller and the second-in-command at the Justice Department, Rod Rosenstein, supervises him.) "President Trump has started the clock on the Rosenstein firing watch," GOP strategist Evan Siegfried told Politico. "This is feeding the private discussions in the GOP about the President's state of mind."

Days after Siegfried spoke, Republicans in the House of Representatives made clear their intentions to join the President no matter where his mind resides.

Extreme as a direct legal attack on Mueller may seem, the prospect seems more likely when one considers that stunts like the Nunes memo and the President's attempt to fire the special counsel last year.

Here it's helpful to consider that Donald Trump came of age during the Nixon years, when the president proved unable to shut down an FBI investigation of the Watergate break-in and ultimately resigned over the attempted coverup. And our current President was tutored in the political arts by Nixon loyalist Roger Stone, who, like others, believe Nixon shouldn't have been impeached. (Stone has said that John Dean, the Watergate whistleblower, "perpetrated a fraud" against Nixon.)

The lesson learned by extreme Nixonites was that their guy should have fought harder. Trump, who loves to talk about himself as a fighter, isn't making that mistake. For this reason, we should expect more of the same, including the release of the Nunes memo, the possible resignation of Christopher Wray, and a deepening crisis for the nation. All of this in service to one man's state of mind.

The Night the Democratic Party Committed Political Suicide
Wayne Allyn

Before I get to the embarrassment of the nasty, bitter State of the Union display by the Democratic Party, let me lead with great news.

First, the jobs front. Wednesday morning saw the release of ADP/Moody’s Analytics private payrolls report. New job creation exploded once again under President Trump. Businesses added 234,000 jobs in January versus an expected 185,000. Manufacturing added 12,000 jobs and construction 9,000 new jobs - in a traditionally slow month. WOW.

Secondly, the numbers from Trump’s State of the Union. Fox News had the biggest audience for a State of the Union in the history of cable news. The old record of 6.5 million viewers was smashed by smithereens by Trump with an astonishing 11.7 million viewers. It was also the highest rated presidential address of any kind in the history of cable news.

Now to the reaction from viewers. CBS took an instant YouGov poll. Here are the amazing results.

97 percent of Republican viewers liked Trump’s speech.

72 percent of independents liked it.

Amazingly, 43 percent of Democrats liked it.

Overall 75 percent of Americans approved of the speech. And a shocking 8 out of 10 felt President Trump was trying to unite the nation, rather than divide it. Two-thirds reported the speech made them feel proud.

Which means anyone who isn’t a bitter, nasty, arrogant, hateful, Kool-Aid drinking socialist loved what they saw. Unfortunately, that leaves the entire Democrat Congress.

That’s why I report the Democratic Party committed political suicide on Tuesday night. Their response to Trump’s speech was out of bounds. It wasn’t normal. It was hateful. It was bizarre. Actually, in a word, it was “foreign.” The Democratic Party is now a foreign party in their own country. They no longer have any understanding of what people born in America think or feel.

It's perfectly fine to be respectfully opposed to the politics of one party or president. That's acceptable. That’s as American as apple pie. But that’s not what happened on Tuesday night.

Democrats were outed as the party that is rooting for America's failure. Rooting against a booming economy. Rooting for misery, instead of prosperity. Rooting against job creation. Rooting against a booming stock market. Rooting against employee bonuses. Angry about the lowest black unemployment ever. Angry about the lowest Hispanic unemployment ever. Angry at the lowest female unemployment in 18 years.

They openly frowned, grimaced, groaned and looked sick to their stomachs when President Trump celebrated the American flag…the national anthem… American freedom… and American opportunity. Bizarre. Self-destructive behavior.

But wait it gets worse. Democrats appeared to be on the side of murderous MS-13 gangs. When Trump touted legislation to help stop gang violence, drug dealing and murder by vicious MS-13 gangs…and when Trump introduced the parents of two young girls murdered by MS-13 killers…Democrats booed and groaned.

Democrats clearly believe discussing murders by illegal aliens is “racist.” Democrats clearly believe Trump has to be Hitler or KKK to publicly admit there are people of color (gasp) murdering innocent Americans. This was the second worst moment of disconnect in American political history.

Now to the single worst disconnect ever. Amnesty-loving Democratic Congressman Luis Gutierrez WALKED OUT upon hearing chants of “USA, USA!” It was too much for him. He appeared to be on the verge of tears. Democrats consoled him. To Democrats, it’s now “racist” to love your country.

The Democrats’ performance at the SOTU was shocking. Because if they had an ounce of common sense they could at least act like they love America, act like patriots, act respectful to parents of kids murdered by illegal alien gangs. Any sane politician would have acted civil - just to fool enough voters to win elections. Not these Democrats. They suffer from TID - “Trump Insanity Disorder.” They are on tilt. Trump triggers them to acts of self-destruction. They’ve lost their minds.

Turn out the lights. There is no one left to support the Democratic Party we saw on Tuesday night, except for illegal aliens, radicals, Marxists, felons and welfare addicts.

A booming economy is a step backwards to this group. The American flag is something to be ashamed of. God is a curse. And job creation is a sin. It's clear they are the party that wants to “MAKE AMERICA MISERABLE AGAIN.”

This was the night the Democratic Party committed political suicide.

Devastating: AP Report Buries Democrats' False Talking Points, Confirms Sweeping Tax Cuts for American Workers
Guy Benson

And there it is -- independent confirmation of what Republicans have been saying for months, backed up by nonpartisan analyses: American workers are getting effective pay increases thanks to the tax reform law against which every Democrats voted last December. Opponents called the bill "armageddon," the "end of the world," and a "massive attack" on the middle class. It's none of those things. It's a pro-growth tax cut for 80 percent of Americans, including 91 percent of the middle class. The Associated Press reports:

The contentious tax overhaul is beginning to deliver a change that many will welcome — bigger paychecks. Workers are starting to see more take-home pay as employers implement the new withholding guidelines from the IRS, which dictate how much employers withhold from pay for federal taxes. Those whose checks have remained the same shouldn’t fret — employers have until Feb. 15 to make the changes. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has estimated that the new rules will mean more take-home pay for about 90 percent of American workers.

The details of the story highlight how many people appreciate the tax cut they're getting -- including those who didn't see it coming...probably because they were fed so much flagrantly false fear-mongering from Democrats:

The AP cites a bizarre conspiracy theory from Congressional Democrats, who apparently think they don't have enough egg on their face already, then quotes an engineer who generally buys into the Left's (misleading and refutable) talking points about "tax cuts for the rich" -- yet still can't manage to get terribly upset about, well, his own tax cut:

Senator Ron Wyden, on the Senate Finance Committee, and Rep. Richard Neal, on the House Ways and Means Committee, both Democrats, have asked the Government Accountability Office to analyze the new tables to make sure workers’ paychecks weren’t being systematically underwithheld, which would make paychecks bigger now but lead to a bigger bill at tax time. Mnuchin, speaking at a White House press briefing, dismissed this notion as “ridiculous.” Still, experts suggest that all taxpayers take a look the new IRS calculator when it becomes available later in February to ensure they are having the correct amount withheld...For most people though, no change will be needed...

“It’s tough to be upset about more money in my pocket,” said Jefferey Snively, an aerospace engineer who got a 4 percent bump in his last paycheck due to the lower tax rate. He said that’s not enough to feel like a windfall or change his spending habits, but is a pleasant change. Yet, he thinks the tax overhaul wasn’t really about him or other workers, but more about corporations and the wealthy. “I think the people this bill made the most difference for are the ones who needed it least,” he said.

You know it's going to be a tough messaging battle ahead for Democrats when their own people have no choice to concede that their tax break feels pretty good. The party made things harder on themselves by painting the GOP plan as an unmitigated catastrophe that would help nobody. They thought their insane attacks could kill the bill, the same way they rode falsehoods to derail Obamacare repeal. Big mistake. The bill became law, and it's proving them wrong every day. As we've been writing, public support for the law has rocketed upward by double digits based on the good news emerging from the corporate side of the law alone. Now, ordinary Americans are going to start noticing their own tax cuts, which will further prove how absurdly and shamelessly they were lied to by Democrats. Here's one of the guiltiest demagogues, Nancy Pelosi, desperately spinning her feeble, elitist "crumbs" line:

The media will cover some of this, as evidenced by the AP piece, but it's up to Republicans to make this hard sell, repeatedly. The facts are on their side; hammer them home. Incidentally, it's not like the positive corporate ripple effects have come to an end, either. Over the last 24 hours or so, more major companies have unveiled major investments, upgraded employee benefits, and new bonuses -- adding to the ballooning total of millions of American workers who are directly benefitting from the Republican law (aside from their personal tax cuts, that is). The latest 'Frankenstein' dispatches, from UPS:

UPS today announced more than $12 billion in investments to expand the company's Smart Logistics Network, significantly increase pension funding, and position the company to further enhance shareowner value. "This $12 billion investment program is an outgrowth of the opportunity for tax savings created by the Tax and Jobs Act," said David Abney, UPS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "We will increase network investments and accelerate pension funding to strengthen the company for the long term, so that we maximize the benefit to our global customers, employees and share owners." The company plans to raise future capital spending above its previously committed six-to-seven percent of annual revenue. UPS will invest an additional $7 billion over three years for the construction and renovation of facilities, to acquire new aircraft and ground fleet vehicles, and to enhance the information technology platforms required to support the network, manage the business and power new customer solutions.

And Lowe's:

Lowe's confirmed Thursday it plans to pay out one-time bonuses and sweeten benefits, saying it expects the impact of new tax law to be positive for its business in 2018. The home improvement retailer is giving more than 260,000 hourly employees bonuses of up to $1,000 and will expand benefits packages — adding adoption assistance and paid parental leave — in the wake of new tax legislation, CNBC reported on Wednesday. The bonus amounts will be based on a worker's length of service.

And Cigna:

Global health service company, Cigna (NYSE: CI), today announced that the net financial benefits of United States tax reform will allow the company to further accelerate investments in our employees, our capabilities and our customers, clients, partners, and communities...Cigna is establishing a minimum wage across its U.S. employee base of $16 an hour, substantially exceeding the national minimum wage in the United States as well as the hourly rate paid at many global corporations. Cigna will also provide salary increases above the $16 an hour level, largely to front line employees. These investments in employee wages will total more than $15 million. Additionally, Cigna is adding $30 million to its 401(k) program to match an additional one percent of employee compensation contributed to the 401(k) in 2018. This match will benefit the retirement accounts of over 30,000 employees.

And Thermo Fisher Scientific:

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO), the world leader in serving science, will make additional investments totaling $50 million as a result of the benefit of recently enacted Federal tax reform legislation in the U.S. This investment includes: $34 million for a one-time bonus of $500 to be paid to each of the company's approximately 68,000 eligible non-executive employees globally, [and] $16 million to accelerate key breakthrough R&D programs and also to increase the impact of the company's sustainability initiatives and philanthropic activities in support of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. "Thermo Fisher will benefit from tax reform, so we chose to use this unique opportunity to recognize the commitment of our colleagues who work hard every day to fulfill our Mission..."

And Hostess:

Hostess Brands Inc. announced it will give workers one-time bonuses of $1,250 and one year of free snacks as a result of the new GOP tax legislation. The company produces bakery snack cakes such as Twinkies, Ho Hos, Zingers and Sno Balls. Each week this year, a representative from one of the company’s bakeries will choose a different product, which employees will take home in multi-packs, according to Bloomberg. Workers will receive the monetary bonus in the form of $750 in cash and a $500 contribution to their 401k. Hostess Executive Chairman C. Dean Metropolous told Bloomberg in a statement that the changes to the tax plan have allowed the company to alter its benefits structure.

On that last one, I'll leave you with this perfect punchline:

Nancy was right! Hostess will LITERALLY give employees crumbs because of GOP's tax law! https://twitter.com/BrentScher/status/959081148411469829

LOL, a booming economy but no ethics or morality within the GOP. Now tell us how do you degrade oneself by taking the money while keeping your mouth shut about self preservation and respect for yourself? Bottom line is a party that brags about money but no mention of race relation, immigration or healthcare.....money does buy anything when you have no self respect for yourself. wink

LOL, I find it very ironic that you of all people made claim to the moderator that "someone" is harassing you by trading barb for barb. Your ignorance manifests itself by the fact that you surprisingly show up when something is said by talking third person but common sense doesn't tell you when you're as obvious as a elephant in the room when you comment to yourself. Now for facts, did Chuck make comments in regard to the DOW slipping 660 points yesterday? Only children make immature rhetoric of 'sticking out one's tongue" to make a statement that "your daddy is bigger than my daddy" wink

Dow plunges 1,175 points as stocks fall, wiping out all of this year's gains:

The instant-gratification president reaps what he sows as markets sink.

The Dow Jones industrial average plunged a record 1,175 points, or 4.6%, on Monday as a sell-off in the stock market gained momentum less than two weeks after the market set record highs.
