Wells College to host talk on sustainability education

Wells College will be the site of a talk, "Building Foundations of Sustainability in Kindergarten," at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, in the de Witt Lecture Room at the college, 170 Main St., Aurora.

The talk will be presented by Heather Frost, class of '09, an outdoor science lab teacher at Ithaca Montessori School. She will discuss how, at her school, teachers integrate sustainability into their everyday practices. In order to strengthen connections between the natural world and the school community, Frost also co-created and maintains an edible forest garden and system of forest trails.

Admission to the talk is free and open to the public.

For more information, visit wells.edu.

Wonder if she will admit that there is no such thing as sustainability unless we get rid of half the population of the planet.
