You don't believe Trump said that in an interview or he won't use them? You are his only supporter that I have heard say that Trump won't use them.

Michael Morell said on TV this morning that there is no way we can take out North Korea's nuclear weapons on a first strike. We do not know where they are. And it will be a long and bloody war with or without them. And I am sure he is 1,000 times more knowledgeable on this topic than you are.

President Donald Trump’s remarks about Russian President Vladimir Putin, declaring a false equivalency between the U.S. government and the Russian government, “suggests that he doesn’t have a good understanding of what Putin has done over a very long period of time,” according to former acting and deputy director of the CIA Michael Morell.

Well Trump said the press is the enemy of the people so this is how his supporters act. Note I got this link while reading Fox News.

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/201...ottesville.html

Journalist Katie Couric said Saturday that two of her producers were sprayed with urine while they were covering white supremacists and counter-protesters in Charlottesville, Va.

"Two of my producers just got sprayed with urine. Lovely. Hard to keep your cool," she tweeted.

A failure of presidential leadership

WASHINGTON — A basic task for any modern American president — Democrat or Republican — is to bring the country together during difficult times. “When the nation was wounded, shocked, or shamed, [presidents try] to rise to their responsibility as leaders of a whole people,” as journalist and former Carter speechwriter James Fallows observed.

Bill Clinton did it after the Oklahoma City bombing. George W. Bush did it after 9/11. And Barack Obama did it after the Charleston church shooting. But Donald Trump failed that presidential-leadership test after a white nationalist protest turned violent over the weekend in Charlottesville, Va.

Trump’s first response — in the form of a tweet — started out fine. “We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!” he said.

In remarks a couple hours later, however, the president appeared to blame BOTH white nationalists and counter-protestors, and he refused to explicitly condemn the white nationalists. “We condemn in strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry, and violence — on many sides.” And then after Trump walked away without taking questions, reporters shouted, “Mr. President, do you want the support of these white nationalists?” “Do you call that terrorism, sir?”

Trump didn’t answer.

So far Monday morning, the president fired off three tweets: One: "Heading to Washington this morning. Much work to do. Focus on trade and military." Two: “Luther Strange of the Great State of Alabama has my endorsement. He is strong on Border & Wall, the military, tax cuts & law enforcement.” Three: “The Obstructionist Democrats have given us (or not fixed) some of the worst trade deals in World History. I am changing that fast!”

But nothing on Charlottesville and the white nationalists.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/apos-happening-north-korea-john-140929325.html

Most Americans don't know much about North Korea other than that the rogue state wants to destroy America and its leader is a pudgy man-boy with a really weird haircut. That man-boy has been ordering missile tests with increasing regularity, though, so it's time to start taking North Korea seriously. Also of concern is President Donald Trump's "decision" to escalate tensions with the dictatorship by threatening "fire and fury" on the nation of 25 million. North Korea did not take kindly to the comments and has since threatened to attack Guam.

This is the million-dollar question, and just like Trump, Oliver didn't have much of an answer. So far, the administration has shifted blame to China. The world's most populous country shares an 800-mile border with North Korea and is responsible for as much as 90 percent of its total trade. Imposing sanctions is difficult for the Chinese, though, because if Kim Jong Un's regime were to collapse, China would have to deal with millions of refugees. A unified North Korea would also mean a country allied with America—and which contains 30,000 U.S. troops—on China's border.

Trump has threatened "fire and fury," but it isn't that simple. If the U.S. were to launch a targeted attack on North Korea's weapons systems, North Korea could retaliate by using its arsenal of an estimated 8,000 big guns north of the DMZ to attack South Korea, namely the capital city of Seoul, which is within its range. Trump's threats also exacerbated tension, and North Korea has responded with fiery rhetoric of its own, saying it "must respond with absolute force."

Continuing diplomatic efforts may be the best option, but, as Oliver said, for diplomacy to work, "you usually need a specific goal in mind, and Trump is making all of this up as he goes along."

Every day it looks more doubtful that Trump will be around to run in 2020. I doubt if he lasts past the end of 2018.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/01/politics/2020-primary/index.html

At Politicon, a gathering of the politically nerdy in California this past weekend, Republican consultant Rob Stutzman made a bold prediction about the 2020 presidential race.

"It's completely feasible that there will be long, drawn-out Republican primary for Trump to be renominated," Stutzman said.

Some of that may be wishful thinking by Stutzman, who has long been a vocal member of the "Never Trump" wing of the Republican Party. After all, there's no modern example of a primary challenge to a sitting president working. Ronald Reagan lost -- albeit barely -- to Gerald Ford in 1976. Ted Kennedy lost to Jimmy Carter in 1980. Pat Buchanan lost to George H.W. Bush in 1992. (Note: The primary challenges did not work, but none of the presidents listed above went on to re-election.)

At the same time, Trump may well be uniquely vulnerable to a primary challenge given his dismal approval ratings, his lack of connections to the major donors in the GOP and the fact that many Republican establishment types never wanted him to be their nominee in the first place.

In other words: A path does exist for a serious primary challenge to Trump if he stays on, roughly, the course he is currently on.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/rabbi-oversaw-ivanka-trump-apos-123835817.html

The rabbi who sponsored Ivanka Trump’s conversion to Judaism has fiercely criticized Donald Trump’s defense of neo-Nazis and other white supremacists.

The president’s response to the white nationalists’ rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last weekend has outraged Republicans and Democrats alike. Trump on Tuesday blamed “both sides” for the deadly violence that unfolded in the city. And he doubled down on his defense of white supremacists who marched through the University of Virginia’s campus and chanted Nazi slogans including “Jews will not replace us.”

In a joint letter sent to Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s former congregation in New York City Wednesday evening, Rabbi Emeritus Haskel Lookstein and two other rabbis criticized Trump’s reaction to the Charlottesville events, which resulted in an anti-racist protester being killed by a car. James Alex Fields Jr., 20, from Ohio, has been charged with offenses including second-degree murder.

“On the day of the funeral of Heather Heyer, the 32-year-old woman who was murdered by a vicious, white supremacist, neo-Nazi, we are all shaken by this human tragedy and all the horrible scenes from last Saturday’s riot in Charlottesville and the frightening message and fallout that have consumed us since then,” states the letter, signed by Lookstein and fellow Rabbis Chaim Steinmetz and Elie Weinstock.

The letter continues, “While we always avoid politics, we are deeply troubled by the moral equivalency and equivocation President Trump has offered in his response to this act of violence.”

Where Are Trump’s Tweets About Fallen Soldiers?

No tweets, no speeches, nothing for 22 of the 23 servicemembers who died fighting the wars he promised to easily win. Instead, the president creates a new crisis every day

As for A.J., Brooks and the other soldiers who have died this year, Trump has said nothing on Twitter, the platform that he claims allows him to get “the truth” to the American people without the filter of the “Fake News.” If anyone can get around the media’s obsession with everything Trump tweets, it’s the president himself. A few messages on the platform reminding people that men like A.J. continue to die in a war that most of us don’t pay much attention to could go a long way. It would also show that the president is thinking about something other than the media’s coverage of him, and whatever fire he set that day in Washington.

“He talked about how aggressive he was going to be on ISIS, but I don’t think we have [enough] troops over there to get this job done,” Stigler says of Trump. “It just doesn’t seem like that’s an issue of his or a concern of his to get this done and to get it done quickly.”
