Three arrested after Schuyler County Meth bust

Three individuals are behind bars this afternoon following an investigation into the manufacture of methamphetamine in the Town of Catharine, in Schuyler County.

41-year-old Richard Franklin and 19-year-old Rachael Pyhtila, both of Montour Falls, and 64-year-old Ronald Havens, of Odessa, were arrested and charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the third degree, a Class D Felony.

The charges allege that the three individuals possessed several items of laboratory equipment and chemicals used to manufacture methamphetamine. The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending following the results of laboratory testing.

Franklin, Pyhtila, and Havens were arraigned in the Town of Catharine Court where they were all remanded to the Schuyler County Jail. Franklin and Havens were remanded on $10,000 cash bail, while Pyhtila was remanded on $5,000 bail.
