President Donald Trump isn't afraid to mix it up in the boardroom and today in Brussels he showed he could throw some proverbial elbows -- or hands -- too.

One of the more surprising moments caught on camera today at the NATO summit in Belgium came when Trump was seen grabbing the arm of the Prime Minister of Montenegro and appearing to push him to get to the front of the group.
Leaders...lead, and followers, well, they follow the Leader.
But, the Really "Big News"!
President Trump, told the free loaders in NATO to cough-up with they're share of the dues.
There are no "dues". Each nation is asked to spent 2% of their own GDP on their own military. Trump just makes it sound like there are dues and that they owe money to US taxpayers. I gotta wonder if he understands this? Or is he just playing to his under educated base? Either way it is appalling but typical Trump.
Do all you Trump supporters now realize if he wasn't lying about NATO he sure was stretching the truth way out of shape?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/8/3/1...-5-ever-invoked

On the Insurgent site , Eric Erickson wrote a blistering article, blasting Trump for asking if NATO countries “have paid” if they want American protection from a potential Russian invasion. Erickson brought up an interesting piece of history that I was unaware of.

Erickson asked if Trump supporters knew the only time NATO has ever invoked Article 5 of the 1949 Washington Treaty that established NATO. That’s the article that recognizes an attack on one NATO ally as an attack on all NATO allies requiring defense.

The answer is:

“The only time NATO has ever invoked Article 5 and rushed to the aid of a NATO ally in response to an attack was on September 11, 2001.”

Erickson rips Trump supporters a new asshole:

“Donald Trump wants to turn NATO into a damn shakedown scheme and you people are cheering him on. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You should be ashamed of the fact that your cult leader who claims to have been personally affected by 9/11 does not even know our NATO allies protected his ass that day. You should be ashamed that he wants to turn one of the strongest military alliances in the history of the world into a racket where protection is bought. You should be ashamed that you are not ashamed.”

President Donald Trump's odyssey through Europe and the Middle East fulfilled a more narrow political focus for the reeling White House: It was a nine-day distraction from the dominant narrative of a presidency under siege.

Now, Trump needs to find another way to change the subject, because the questions about Russia that have long clouded his administration have deepened in the time he has spent away.

My favorite Republican senator.

http://www.politico.com/story/2017/05/30/ben-sasse-trump-off-message-238924

He never liked Trump. He still doesn’t like Trump. And now that he’s promoting his new book, “The Vanishing American Adult,” the freshman Nebraska senator doesn’t want to talk about whether the 45th president of the United States counts as an adult, according to the principles he lays out across 300 pages. Sasse would rather not be talking about Trump, but when pressed, he says the president is a symptom of exactly what he thinks is wrong with America.

Trump “comes out of a reality TV world,” Sasse told me in the latest episode of POLITICO’s Off Message podcast. “And I have lots of anxiety about whether or not that kind of world is really what we want for our kids.”

From FOX news:

http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2017/05/30/gop-bid-to-rewrite-tax-code-falters.html

The boldest ideas for changing the nation's tax code are either dead or on political life support, as the Republican effort in Congress to reshape the tax system moves much more slowly than lawmakers and their allies in business had hoped.

Painting with a rather broad brush there, are'ntcha? Maybe you should try applying the same even coat to your beloved FOXNews, Breitbart and Info-Wars excreta.

Or would that simply require mustering way too much intellectual honesty for your liking?

Federal Judge Calls Trump Deportation Order of Hawaiian Coffee Farmer ‘Inhumane’

by Pete Williams

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/fede...nhumane-n766376

The Trump administration's decision to deport a coffee farmer in Hawaii who came to the U.S. illegally 28 years ago prompted a harsh rebuke Tuesday from a federal appeals court judge who called it inhumane.

"President Trump has claimed that his immigration policies would target the 'bad hombres," said Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. The government decision in the immigration case "shows that even the 'good hombres' are not safe."

Reinhardt's comments came as the appeals court turned down a request from Andres Magana Ortiz to delay his deportation. The judge said the court was compelled to deny the request "because we do not have the authority to grant it. We are not, however, compelled to find the government's action in this case fair or just."

Magana Ortiz, now 43, came illegally to the U.S. when he was 15 and became a coffee farmer in Hawaii's Kona region. He has three children, all of them U.S. citizens because they were born in Hawaii, and he married his current wife last year.

If he's illegal he's illegal Kyle! I think you should do a little research on this guy! He's not exactly a stellar citizen!

Justice Department Ends Obama Era Practice of Forcing Federal Defendants to Donate to Leftist Activists
Katie Pavlich

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced early Wednesday morning the Department of Justice will no longer force defendants to send payments to third party special interests unrelated or unharmed in federal cases.

“When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people— not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” Sessions said in a statement. “Unfortunately, in recent years the Department of Justice has sometimes required or encouraged defendants to make these payments to third parties as a condition of settlement. With this directive, we are ending this practice and ensuring that settlement funds are only used to compensate victims, redress harm, and punish and deter unlawful conduct.”

Current DOJ officials argue that under the Obama administration, settlement payments were often made to "non-party, non-victim political groups" and required defendants to donate to activist groups as a way to finish or close a case.

Essentially, there was a slush fund for leftist groups set up through the Department of Justice. Billions of dollars were paid out to far-left groups like La Raza, Neighborworks, National Community Reinvestment Coalition, the National Urban League and extreme environmental groups after unrelated big bank settlements with JP Morgan, Bank of America, Citigroup and car company Volkswagen.

“Advocates for big government and progressive power are using the Justice Department to extort money from corporations,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton told Fox News earlier this year. “It’s a shakedown. It’s corrupt, pure and simple.”

In order to prevent this type of practice in the future, Congress has introduced legislation barring the Department from using settlement agreements as ways to fund activist groups.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who has been working on this issue for years, applauded the move.

“Today’s decision by the Attorney General to end the Justice Department’s use of settlement agreements to fund politically favored organizations is a win for the victims in such disputes and for checks and balances in government. Under the Constitution, Congress holds the purse strings. The laws Congress passes dictate how funds collected by the government should be used," Grassley said. "Often, it’s to support the victims in such disputes. But under the Obama administration, the Justice Department disregarded this separation of powers by repeatedly directing defendants to ‘donate’ hundreds of millions of dollars to the administration’s friends and allies, including those that Congress took deliberate steps to defund. These practices usurped Congress’s spending authority and opened wide the door for misuse of government funds—all without any oversight mechanisms/

“Since 2010, I’ve been working to shine a light on these misdeeds and to get answers from the Department. Today’s announcement is welcomed news for those of us who respect the rule of law and demand a more accountable government,” he continued.
