I never expected a man this cynically manipulative with the press to flounder so badly in the White House, but the events of this week have set a new low that would be hard to surpass. His cheerleaders must hope that the Lester Holt interview marks the low point of his presidency. Otherwise it might mark the beginning of the end.

He isn't going anywhere! He's doing a great job! He's not a politician so he's a little rough around the edges! He's doing exactly as he promised he would do! Get rid of the illegals and not taking crap from any country like the past presidents have!

The FBI is investigating meddling by the Russians in the U.S. election and whether anyone on the Trump team colluded with them. Former FBI Director James Comey was heading that investigation, so does firing him put the president in legal jeopardy?

"If I were defending the case, I would say, he knows it's not going to end the investigation. If anything, the FBI will get more energized by this, which I believe they will," Bennett says.

Trump is out of control and may start a nuclear war with North Korea to take the spot light off of him. This would be horrible for all of us.

After four months in office, President Donald Trump has become distrustful of some of his White House staff, heavily reliant on a handful of family members and longtime aides, and furious that the White House’s attempts to quell the firestorm over the FBI and congressional Russia investigations only seem to add more fuel.

Are you completely delusional? He's done almost the polar opposite of virtually every one of his campaign promises, INCLUDING immigration deportations. He's backpedalled or done complete about-faces with too many countries to count.

Veterans of White House scandals from Watergate to Plamegate have an important message for Team Trump: It’s time to think about lawyering up.

In the past week, a Senate committee began issuing subpoenas in its investigation into Russian contacts with President Donald Trump’s staff and other associates during the 2016 election campaign and transition, while the FBI continues its own criminal investigation. Trump himself fired FBI Director James Comey and then, in the aftermath, said the Russia probe was “made up” and appeared to threaten Comey on Twitter.

“There’s obviously a risk here,” said Washington white-collar defense attorney Robert Luskin. “And that’s not any kind of judgment on [Trump’s] personal integrity or absence of it, but the apparent fact he doesn’t seem to be very sensitive about norms and about risks.”

It’s an axiom of Washington scandals that the cover-up tends to be worse than the crime — and it’s lower- or mid-level people who wind up getting caught in the worst legal trouble, usually for tangential offenses like perjury or obstruction of justice.

President Trump to Light White House Blue in Honor of Fallen Officers

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania will light the White House blue Monday in honor of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

"America stands strong with our brave men and women in blue," Trump said during a speech for Peace Officers Memorial Day Monday on Capitol Hill. "Every drop of blood spilled from our heroes in blue is a wound inflicted upon the whole country."

The President has requested governors around the country fly flags at half staff in memory of fallen officers.

President Obama was asked repeatedly to light the White House blue in honor of fallen officers. He refused.

rump and his aides received less than an hour's notice Wednesday before the Justice Department announced it was bringing in Robert Mueller, an ex-FBI director, as a special counsel to take over the investigation into Russia's election meddling. It was the third straight day this week that brought deeply damaging news to an increasingly beleaguered commander-in-chief.

It was a blindside that will substantially escalate the investigation into the Trump campaign's dealings with Russia. It's also another reminder to an increasingly besieged President of the limitations on his own power, even within the executive branch.
