On Monday, FingerLakes1.com President Jim Sinicropi was a presented with a 2016-17 Appreciation Award by Red Creek Athletic Director Marc Blankenberg at the annual Dennis E. Fries, Chapter 5 Awards Luncheon held at Burgundy Basin Inn in Pittsford.

The recognition award was on behalf of the Wayne County Athletic Association for FingerLakes1.comís and FL1 Sports expanded coverage of Wayne-Finger Lakes high school basketball this past season. FL1 Sports live streamed 48 games from late November to early March in addition to the Upstate Hoops Podcast and nightly game recaps and special features on FingerLakes1.com.

Sinicropi said, ďIt is great to be recognized for the effort we put into our local high school basketball coverage. Our entire team, from the back end production to the on-air commentators, have a passion for basketball and highlighting area high school athletes. We are already looking forward to next season.Ē
