Bolling: It Took Obama 2,920 Days to 'Diminish America's Standing' — and Trump 77 Days to Fix It

Jason Howerton
Fox News host Eric Bolling said Friday that President Donald Trump proved this week why he and millions of other people voted for him in 2016.

“On one hand, now you have a conservative Supreme Court [Justice],” Bolling said. “On the other hand, even though I disagree with attacking Syria with military force, he acted … very decisively, we talked about it all day. But more importantly, for me, is that he did it with Chinese President Xi right next to him.”

Prez going bigly. Acting statesmanlike by ordering up a bombing run of Syria.

AKA "blooding his hounds"; escalation prepping the American people.

No need to feign apprehension Bolling. The fix is in.

laugh

According to budget experts, Trump's rate of travelling back and forth to his resort, playing golf and the additional security cost, he will exceed Obama's spending in one year whereas it took Obama 8 years.

sadly for you. Obama's legacy was established on January 19th 2017. Note the popularity rating of over 60% and the current rating of 35% for Trump. Only a fool like your self would think that he alone can determine a President's popularity but as stated, a fool. grin

Yeah, Mr. Obama, and his popularity is the reason the Democrats still control "both" Houses of Congress...LOL

I don't doubt, Mr. Obama's popularity was another phony aspect of his legacy.

Thankfully, President Trump has been chipping away at his unpopular, and overreaching legacy!

ROTFLMAO, learn to comprehend facts adverse to hearsay and what your buddies told you at your local watering hole. Hillary was the candidate and attempted to ride Obama's coat tail but seeing that she carried a lot of baggage, she couldn't over come the rumors but think about this son, why did she garner 3 million more votes than Trump even though he appeared more popular? Why did either garner only 26% of the eligible voting bloc? Factor in the fact that Bernie Sander had a great constituency of voters who wouldn't migrate over to Hillary, your bragging rights are that trump won but lets be honest for a change, why is he fighting so hard against Russian interference if only for the fact that the electoral college was manipulated. Bottom line son, Obama left office with a 60 % approval rating after 8 years while the village idiots after 83 day can't get even a positive approval, thus the reasoning for all your bloviating, you have nothing viable to make Trump anything more than what he is, a poor excuse for a man, let alone a president. whistle

People wanted change but all they've gotten thus far from the GOP, no healthcare, no additional jobs, more vermin added to the swamp and last but not least, a rude awakening that the change they desire isn't coming from the Republican party or are you suggesting that town hall violence is only a ploy for having fun at the expense of the Republican representative? whistle
Yes, I'm having a good laugh at your futile attempts for relevancy.

When I get my license back tomorrow, I'm heading down to the health supply store to buy some oxygen because based on the newly dysfunctional trends being offered by the GOP, don't believe anything you've heard and has been proven all your life. We don't actually live off 21% oxygen but realistically so, only about 1%, you think maybe that's their problem, they've been sucking on acetylene by mistake?

It's amazing that you can chew gum and walk at the same time. Only a simpleton fails to understand Trump's inability to stay consistent on any given topic for more than a week. Want to rehash the major change of venue just in the last week? Now do the math in regard to Trump's position on Putin in March adverse to today and by "brilliant deduction" ask the question why do Liberals look at you and Republicans with a great deal of confusion. Last June, you Republicans stated that Trump was vile, ill tempered and a womanizer and Liberals stated "exactly" Today, the GOP stated that the same identical man has transformed into a vile, ill tempered womanizer and you says that he's a great president. I'll let you onto a little secret, the neighbors clothes drying outside are not dirty by being factually so, you're in need of having your windows cleaned. grin

We had a Republican president resign before. At the rate this fiasco is picking up speed now, I expect Trump to be the second one.

He has such a fragile ego. The biggest baby I have ever seen in a grown man much less a president. When the Dems take over the house in Nov, 2018, he will resign. Heck, he can't even get a Republican led congress to work with him.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/wsj-torches-trump-don-jr-created-appearance-conspiracy-144342071.html

The conservative Wall Street Journal editorial board published a scathing assessment of President Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr.’s conduct in the wake of the fallout caused by the latter’s meeting with a Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign.

Titled “The Trumps and the Truth,” the editorial urges “radical transparency” from the White House in its approach to the congressional and Justice Department Russia probes.

“Even Donald Trump might agree that a major reason he won the 2016 election is because voters couldn’t abide Hillary Clinton’s legacy of scandal, deception and stonewalling,” the paper said. “Yet on the story of Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election, Mr. Trump and his family are repeating the mistakes that doomed Mrs. Clinton.”

Trump Jr.’s changing statements concerning the meeting, and his eventual admission that he attended because he was offered incriminating information from the Russian government about his father’s opponent, earned a less-than-rosy evaluation from the Journal.

“Even if the ultimate truth of this tale is merely that Don Jr. is a political dunce who took a meeting that went nowhere — the best case — the Trumps made it appear as if they have something to hide. They have created the appearance of a conspiracy that on the evidence Don Jr. lacks the wit to concoct.”

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-goes-apos-collusion-normal-161811961.html

After months of adamantly denying that investigators would find even a shred of evidence pointing to collusion between his campaign and Russia, President Donald Trump is aggressively embracing the view that his son’s cooperation with apparent Russian agents was entirely normal. On Monday, he acknowledged that his son, Donald Trump Jr., met with a Russian lawyer in the hopes of receiving damaging information about Hillary Clinton:

An 'unmitigated disaster for Trump': President's agenda in shambles after healthcare collapse

"Last night's death of the health bill is an unmitigated disaster for Trump, who said last year that it would be easy to replace Obamacare with 'something terrific,'" Valliere wrote in a note to clients on Tuesday.

Trump's apparently shifting priorities aligned with a monthslong push from Trump that oftentimes seemed uncoordinated at best.

Trump frequently appeared disengaged in the talks, with reports suggesting senators were confused by the policy topics he brought up in meetings.

For instance, during a dinner with Republican senators Monday, Trump reportedly brought up selling insurance across state lines — one of the priorities for which he advocated in the campaign — and bringing down drug prices. Neither of these issues could be dealt with in the bill due to Senate rules, however.

Additionally, some public-relations missteps cost the White House dearly in its attempts to sell the healthcare overhaul. Perhaps most glaringly, Trump called the House version of its healthcare bill "mean" just a few weeks after its passage, frustrating Republican lawmakers who voted for a bill that had been shown to be unpopular.

Analysis: Trump unlikely to avoid blame for health care loss

NEW YORK (AP) — It was a far cry from “The buck stops here.”

President Donald Trump, dealt a stinging defeat with the failure of the Republican health care bill in the Senate, flipped the script from Harry Truman’s famous declaration of presidential responsibility and declared Tuesday, “I am not going to own it.”

He had tweeted earlier, “We were let down by all of the Democrats and a few Republicans.”

This is the same president who thundered night after night on the campaign trail that it would be “so easy” to repeal and replace the Obama health care law on Day One of his administration.

Try and tweet as he might, Trump can’t now avoid a share of the blame for the stall-out of that repeal effort.

It’s a president’s burden to shoulder the nation’s problems whether they are inherited or created in real time. Barack Obama took office with the American economy facing its worst crisis since the Great Depression. John F. Kennedy accepted responsibility for the failure of the invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs, ordered on his own watch.

“That’s the nature of being elected president: You own the policies, the economy and the government,” said presidential historian Julian Zelizer, a professor at Princeton University. “You own the positives and negatives of the job whether you think it’s your fault or not. You live in the White House: You can’t disassociate yourself from what happens if you don’t like it.”

Trump took office armed with Republican control of both houses of Congress and an ambitious agenda that would begin with the repeal and replacement of Obamacare. Six months later, the collapse of the GOP plan was a sharp rebuke for the president, who was unable to cajole or threaten Republicans to stay in line and who exerted little of his diminished political capital to see through a promise that had been at the core of his party since Obamacare became law seven years ago.

The president’s disjointed support for the health care plan did little to persuade Republicans to support it, and the fact that his approval ratings had dropped below 40 percent didn’t help either.

Trump never held a news conference or delivered a major speech to sell the bill to the public. He never leveraged his popularity among rank-and-file Republican voters by barnstorming the districts of wavering GOP senators. And he never spearheaded a coherent communications strategy — beyond random tweets — to push for the plan.

“The best way to motivate members is talk to their constituents and at no point did he try to talk to Americans about health care reform in any sort of serious way,” said Alex Conant, a Republican strategist who worked on Florida Sen. Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential campaign. “His attention seems to drift with whatever is on cable news on any given moment as opposed to what is on the Senate floor any given week.”

Sounding almost like a bystander during his brief Oval Office remarks Tuesday, Trump six times expressed “disappointment” that the Republican effort had failed. And he insisted the fault rested with Democrats and suggested Obamacare should be left to fail on its own.

“I’m not going to own it,” Trump insisted. “I can tell you that Republicans are not going to own it.”

Democrats blasted Trump’s blame game, with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer saying his refusal to accept responsibility demonstrated “such a lack of leadership.”

“That is such a small and petty response,” Schumer said. “Because the president, he’s in charge. And to hurt millions of people because he’s angry he didn’t get his way is not being a leader.”

Get your facts straight...

First: of all: He said that insurance policy prices for those specifically targeted under The ACA would see dramatic policy rate drops. They DID. In fact, they decreased for the majority of Americans and the rate of increases to the cost insurance policies dropped to the lowest levels in US history. Rural areas had a few outliers due to lack of carriers, but that was being addressed at the time of the election.

Secondly: The economy continued it's upward expansion up until the day he left office.

Of course the rates dropped DUMBO because taxpayers subsidized them! Why do you think it's broke now! The economy is still up with Trump! How many manufacturing jobs were lost because of Obama's policies? Thousands & thousands!

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the final jobs report of the Obama era late last week, and it showed the United States added over 2.15 million jobs in 2016. That’s the sixth consecutive year in which the country has seen job growth over 2 million – a streak unseen since the late 1990s.

That is why the minimum wage should be changed to $15 an hour.

Bright idea Kyle to drive every small business out of business!
