It's been awhile so I'm just checking in. I see Trump is still the President and hasn't been impeached and never will be. The economy is up. Unemployment is down. Tax overhaul has been passed and the working middle class will be keeping more of their hard earned money. Big businesses have given out bonuses to their employees. Big businesses are looking to expand in the U.S.

Meanwhile shutdown Schumer and puppet Pelosi have once again shown their true colors and have disrespected, badgered and talked down to the American people and U.S. Military once again in some vain attempt to obstruct the very man that they helped get elected President in the first place.

Go Trump! 2020!

Go Trump!!!!!!! yes indeed, since January 20, 2017, racism has been heightened due to a racist president leading the charge, 34% of Trump's surrogates have been either discharged from their duties, fired or arrested, the federal budget was a promised issue to address but some how it was bloated by simply adding almost 2 trillion dollars through a tax cut, 100 million people have no health insurance, Puerto Rico is still in a state of devastation after 6 months of doing very little to assist. DACA recipients are still waiting for permanent status, Trump is a huge pathological liar who cheats on his wife while his lawyer...... yes.....wait for this one, paid the buy off fee himself, experts have proved that Russia hacked our political system and are prepared to hack it again in November, 4 Trump surrogates have been arrested, two pleading guilty and the list goes on...but but but forget that we employ wife beaters and crooks, look at that DOW. Go Trump!!!!!!! I see that your "sabbatical" did little for reflection and garnering logic and common sense.

Well, It's Happened: The Trump Tax Bill Is Becoming More Popular And Democrats Are Scrambling
Matt Vespa

It’s happened. We saw this coming. In fact, unlike Obamacare, it was almost guaranteed to happen: the GOP bill is becoming more popular. It’s now split 44/44 percent supporting and opposing the legislation. That’s a 21-point jump from December when it was signed into law by President Donald J. Trump. The polling was dismal on the bill then, but Republicans held firm and passed it via reconciliation. Not a single Democrat voted for the bill; a bill that provides middle and working class tax relief. It was even asked back then: what will Democrats do when his tax reform becomes more popular?

Well, continue to get beaten and bloodied in the face for all the rakes they’re stepping on, apparently. Since the law went into effect, it’s created a better job creating and investing climate. Over 250 companies have issued bonuses to over three million workers. Bonuses range from $1,000-3,000. Companies are boosting employee investment and boosting charitable giving. Apple is finally able to repatriate some $250 billion in overseas money now that the rates are nowhere near crazy levels. They’re also planning a $350 billion reinvestment project over the next five years that will create 20,000 new jobs.

People like what they’re seeing in the paychecks. Not the CEOs, the folks on the factory floors; the grinders who now see a bump in their pay. Democrats voted against this. They voted against the American worker to try and torpedo Trump. In actual fact, the success of this law could help the GOP keep the House in the upcoming midterm elections. We saw the Left eating crow on this during Christmas time. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) saying it’s good that 91 percent of the middle class will receive a tax cut, but it doesn’t go far enough. CBS News found three families from different backgrounds and income brackets and found that every single one of them would ve saving under Trump’s tax plan. From the working mom in North Carolina who admits living paycheck-to-paycheck to the well to do California married couple that started their own business—everyone saved.

Democrats are now panicking. What should their response be in the face of such great news for the country? Denigrate workers’ bonuses by calling them crumbs; that’s one response. As Business Insider put it, they’re scrambling:

…Morning Consult/Politico poll released Wednesday showed that Republicans have surpassed Democrats on the generic ballot, with economic policies being a driving factor.

[…]

Democrats are left with few options to counter the Republican narrative that the GOP-led economy is working. On the tax bill specifically, Democrats want to highlight the disparities between individual cuts for middle income Americans and for corporations and high earners.

Rep. Linda Sanchez, who serves as the vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, echoed to reporters on Wednesday the "crumbs" line from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

[…]

Maryland Rep. John Delaney, who is already running for president in 2020, told Business Insider that Sanchez and Pelosi's comparison of bonuses and increases in take-home pay to crumbs is "of course" bad messaging.

[…]

Democratic National Committee Deputy Chairman and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison also criticized efforts to diminish relief from the tax bill, but reiterated that "the lion's share of the gains go to the very wealthiest people."

"I would not describe it as crumbs," Ellison told Business Insider. "The income inequality is so bad that if you could pick up 1,000 or 900 bucks, maybe it helps."

Yeah, peddling you’re too poor to start investing with the bonus you received from your employer thanks to the tax bill we all rejected isn’t the best way to sell this.

One can quickly figure out where your ethics lies, not in humanity or compassion. Mr. Donald J. Trump, on the day that 2 families bury their child, he's having a hissy fit and tweeting madly over the fact that he's been called out by the FBI, Mr. Mueller and the kids impacted by a horrific act of violence, you? Money, money , money but more ironic, you may have received an addition 5 dollars in your check......just enough so you can buy a pack of pork chops while your Republican representatives buy that new yacht son!!! BOOM: NYT Poll Shows GOP Tax Bill Clinches Majority Support
Matt Vespa

The decision for the Democrats to oppose a tax reform package that benefits the working and middle class of America seems to be looking more and more of a blunder with every passing week. First, if you ignored the Democratic propaganda on this legislation and looked at the initial findings, at least 91 percent of middle class Americans would benefit from this bill. That’s something CNN’s Jake Tapper brought up to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) last Christmas, which Sanders said was a good thing, but the bill didn’t go far enough, or something. It was a classic moving of the goal posts.

Since the tax bill was signed into law, over 250 companies have issued bonuses to over three million workers. Bonuses range from $1,000-3,000. Companies are now saying they’re increasing philanthropic giving, raising wages, re-investing back into in the U.S., and offering new benefits. From the banks to the Olive Garden, new benefits are being ushered in thanks to a better job creating and investing climate President Trump and the Republicans have worked to create, climbing out of the hyper–regulatory state the Obama administration sought to create.

In December, CBS News found three families from different backgrounds: a working class mother living paycheck-to-paycheck in North Carolina, two married college professors in the Northeast (no kids), and a married couple with three children in California who had just started a new business. The working mother was a renter, while the two married couples were homeowners. All three would benefit from Trump’s tax bill, even the couple in deep blue California, who are set to save up to $13,000 thanks to increase child tax credits and reduced rates.

Yes, the GOP tax bill’s approval was dismal when it was first passed, but this was bound to change. The Washington Post combed through the bill and even they admitted that overall 80 percent of Americans, including 91 percent of the middle class, would be paying less in taxes. There was a possibility that this bill was going to become more popular. So, what are Democrats to do?

Because that is what turned out to be the case. In early February, the bill climbed 21 points in approval since December, with those opposing and approving the bill evenly split at 44 percent. Now, The New York Times/SurveyMonkey has a new figure: 51 percent. The Trump tax bill now has majority support. Even support among Democrats, while very small, has doubled:

Over all, 51 percent of Americans approve of the tax law, while 46 percent disapprove, according to a poll for The New York Times conducted between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11 by SurveyMonkey. Approval has risen from 46 percent in January and 37 percent in December, when the law was passed.

“Public opinion is moving in the direction of this bill,” said Jon Cohen, chief research officer for SurveyMonkey. “Considering where it was, it is dramatically different.”

[…]

“It’s less of a sure bet than it seemed in December,” he said. “This isn’t a problem yet for Democrats, but the movement isn’t a positive one.”

[…]

“I think we are essentially seeing Republicans ‘come home’ on the tax plan in our data,” said Lori Weigel, a partner with Public Opinion Strategies, a Republican polling firm. “That is certainly in part due to consistent communications about the tax plan and the news coverage of prominent companies investing in workers.”

Democrats have done little to counter the Republican messaging and concede it has had an effect, along with a series of high-profile company announcements of bonuses, raises or other benefits attributed to tax savings.

But they are ramping up efforts to rebrand the law as disproportionately helping shareholders and the wealthy, and they contend the boost from bonus announcements will fade.

Right now, the Democrats are scrambling, unable to stem the flood of good economic news from this bill. They’re eating some serious crow on this one. And they already have tired to spin this bill as a giveaway to the wealthy and corporations. Obviously no one cares, as support for this legislation has on an upward trajectory. Democrats need to learn that we’re not Europe. We’re typically not an envious people, hence why we don’t have a successful hard-core socialist party here, though you can make the argument that the Democratic Party is becoming that vessel. Becoming rich is what we aspire to become, not to destroy. If American workers are getting something extra in their paychecks—and they are—you’ll see what happens. And it looks like they’re warming up to the GOP’s tax reform.

Also, if you want to build a solid base of opposition, maybe don’t say that the workers who received bonuses of $1,000 (some have received a lot more) are nibbling on mere crumbs. The mockery and disdain the American Left has shown workers in recent weeks has been nothing short of appalling. You’re too poor to invest and save. You’re too stupid to understand the GOP is having you. You’re too country bumpkin to get that we’re the party that’s for your economic interest, not the GOP—these are just some of the sentiments heard. The GOP bill now has majority support, and I’ll bet it’ll continue to become more popular.

I just love the logic, tell us how does a women stay with a wife abuser who cheats on her, never comes home while sleeping in separate beds? Surprise, I'm not speaking about trump's personal character but more so on the fact that we haven't seen all the negative repercussions of the tax cut but this is the only bragging rights that you can cling to as of present, everything else is in total disarray. Now back to that poor women, her husband brags about having a great job.....one day you'll admit that the Liberal are on the money as to the fact that money can't buy love, heal physical and physiological wounds nor erase hate and racism.....what you say cwjga, a big mansion but within, total destruction...somehow it doesn't make a home.

'Intra-Party Warfare:' Democrats Tearing Themselves Apart Over Abortion, Litmus Tests, and Primary Purges
Guy Benson

A great deal of ink has been spilled over the years about the Republican Party's trend to the right and the various fissures -- both tactical and substantive -- within the conservative coalition. What tends to attract less coverage is the Democratic Party's crack-up and significant lurches toward the far left. Those tensions are playing out in real time across the country. Take the DCCC, the arm of the party tasked with re-electing House Democratic incumbents and unseating Republicans. They're under fire for a pair of decisions, including dropping an oppo bomb on a left-wing candidate vying for the party's nomination in a Texas district. Chuck Todd covered the story on his MSNBC show:

This meddling infuriated progressive grassroots activists, who already distrust the party apparatus and who are understandably accusing the establishment of again seeking to tip the scales. But in Illinois, the DCCC has snubbed a sitting member running for re-election, and that decision has nothing to do with ethical lapses or scandal -- via Politico:

Dan Lipinski is the kind of candidate Democrats need more of for the party to win the House in November. But the national Democratic Party is refusing to endorse him. The seven-term congressman from Chicago, who opposes abortion and voted against Obamacare, marriage equality and immigration reform, is one of the most conservative members of the House Democratic Caucus. The question of whether the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will officially back Lipinski for reelection — he faces a stiff primary challenge from the left — has triggered an outbreak of ill will and finger-pointing from each wing of the party toward the other. With less than a month until the March 20 primary, tensions that have been brewing privately for weeks between the caucus’ centrist and progressive lawmakers are now spilling out into a messy public spat...“I don’t think what the DCCC does or says means a lot for my race as much as sending a signal to other Democrats who are looking to run,” Lipinski said in an interview.

Democrats have to know that they’re going to have the full support [of the DCCC] even if they’re not straight in the party line,” he added. “And we need candidates who are not straight along the party line to win the districts we need for the majority.”...DCCC’s actions, [some have] argued, could have a chilling effect on current members and potential candidates who don't line up with the progressive purity test liberals are pushing. “If someone is a big donor to the DCCC or is a big voice like Schakowsky, if members go astray, are they going to have to watch their back?” said a senior Democratic House staffer. “I think it’s shocking that the DCCC or Chairman Luján can’t say that they support Congressman Lipinski. Supporting incumbents should be No. 1 there.”

Lipinksi has voted with his party 87 percent of the time over his career, but is more socially traditional than most Congressional Democrats these days. Crossing the powerful and well-funded abortion lobby is major risk, and appears to be his most unforgiveable transgression. The Weekly Standard's John McCormack looks at the dwindling ranks of pro-life Democrats, whom he dubs an "endangered species:"

Despite the efforts of congressional Democratic leaders to send the message in 2017 that there’s room in the party for pro-lifers, some progressives hope to send the opposite message in 2018. In Illinois’s March 20 primary, activists are trying to purge incumbent congressman Dan Lipinski, one of the rare pro-life Democrats remaining in Congress. “There are only three left,” Kristen Day of Democrats for Life says of the pro-life Democratic caucus in the House, whose membership is comprised of Lipinski, Collin Peterson of Minnesota, and Henry Cuellar of Texas. “The push for party purity on this issue is not going to help build a majority.” Lipinski says his opponents want to create a “Tea Party of the left” and tells The Weekly Standard: “It’s ironic that we’re arguably in the worst position we’ve been in in terms of the number of elected officials across the country since Herbert Hoover. And there are those who want to narrow the tent.” “When it comes to issues such as abortion, there is bias against people who are pro-life,” he says. “I can understand NARAL going in because that’s what they do,” says Kristen Day, but many of “the people attacking Dan Lipinski are not supposed to be abortion-only organizations.”
McCormack notes how radical the party has become on the abortion issue, recalling that, "when the partial-birth abortion ban passed the Senate 64-34 in 2003, it did so with the support of 17 Democrats, including supporters of Roe v. Wade like Pat Leahy, Joe Biden, and Tom Daschle. It passed the House with 218 Republican and 63 Democratic votes." Contrast that with the outcome of last month's vote to bring America's abortion laws closer to the rest of the world by adopting a (widely supported) measure to bar elective abortions in the sixth month of pregnancy or beyond:

Guy Benson
✔
@guypbenson
Polling shows that roughly HALF of *Democrats* support a mainstream ban on elective abortions in months 6-9 of pregnancy.

There are 242 Democrats in Congress. Six of them voted for this consensus reform. Six.

The radical abortion lobby has deep pockets & lots of power.

But while abortion is one of the most glaring examples of this stampede to the Left, it's hardly the only evidence of a broader phenomenon. Consider the case of longtime liberal-in-good-standing, and a staunch supporter of legalized abortion-on-demand, Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Because she's a bit too much of a throwback politician -- a harborer of bipartisan instincts and occasional teller of heterodox truths -- for the modern hard Left in California. And she knows it, leading to contortions like this. So the "progressive" wing of her party dealt a striking setback to her re-election bid over the weekend. I'll leave you with yet another California leftist railing against the 'corruption' of "dollars and donors" in the political process:

Yes, that would be billionaire and Democratic mega-donor Tom Steyer, famous buyer of influence and access, funder of countless campaigns, and partisan vanity project bankroller extraordinaire. He's reportedly spent over $180 million on political causes since 2014 alone. The Republicans made him do it, or something. But of course.
