Where are Geneva's Downtown decorations? Did someone at the BID forget that they are normally up by now?

It might be possible that all hands were required to deal with a FOOT of snow that closed schools on Monday, and the followup. You'd also be pissed if they used overtime pay to expedite the decorating, right?

Is this the part where you tell us how this is a liberal attack on your religion and "down home" morals and way of life?

Well the decorations are finally up. The tree in front of City Hall looks great as does the lighting and the tree on Long pier. The new lights going across the streets are also very nice. However, the rest of the decorations look like a hodgepodge of wreaths, snowflakes and different banners. There is no continuity. There must be a better way to decorate especially with the funds they get every year from their auction.

At least downtown looks better than Nursery Ave. Give it a drive by. The anti-christian demigod in a santa hat. Makes me want to puke.

Well that's true - it does make one sick to see that. But still downtown to me is a disgrace they way it looks. They want to pour all this money in to try and make it better and they can't even muster up the efforts to put up decent decorations. They should take a look at other towns in the area.
