Sole mayoral candidate in Upstate NY village charged with felony

The only person running for mayor in the village of Palmyra was charged Tuesday with falsifying his time cards at his job at a local grocery store.

David A. Husk, 58, was charged Tuesday with five counts of first-degree falsifying business records (felonies) and five counts of petit larceny (misdeameanors), according to New York State Police.

Husk is accused of falsely reporting information on his time cards at the Breen's Grocery Store in Palmyra, troopers said.

Husk is currently the deputy mayor in Palmyra.

Husk's name will remain on the Tuesday's ballot for the Nov. 8 election.
