Opening statements set to begin in Ithaca Stewart Avenue stabbing trial: According to court documents, Gale was trying to buy marijuana from Dryden man Zachary M. Pealo when the deal took a bad turn. Pealo told police that he and Gale were walking to his car to get the marijuana. When they arrived at the car, Gale allegedly grabbed the drugs, ran toward the bridge, and Pealo ran after him. When Pealo caught up to Gale, he said he felt a pain in his left thigh.
