Trumansburg volleyball finishes another perfect season

The Trumansburg volleyball team wrapped up its third consecutive undefeated regular season on Wednesday with a straight-sets victory over Moravia in Interscholastic Athletic Conference play at Somerville Gym in Trumansburg.
Game scores were 25-20, 25-18 and 25-9. Coach Angela McLennan's Blue Raiders (17-0 overall, 14-0 IAC) were led by senior Taylor Murphy's 12 kills and six digs, along with classmate Chloe Mount's 22 assists, three kills and two aces.
Moravia (10-4 IAC) was led by Autumn Wells' six kills, six digs and two aces, and Ashley Justian's five kills, three digs and one block.
Both schools will play host to their respective IAC championship matches, scheduled for Tuesday evening. North champ Trumansburg, which has won 49 straight matches over the last three regular seasons, faces South winner Watkins Glen (12-3) in the best-of-five IAC Large School finals. Moravia will host South Division champ Tioga (15-0) for the Small School crown; the action at both sites will begin with best-of-three JV championship matches at 5 p.m.
