NOFA-NY Press Statement on Governor Cuomo’s New York Grown & Certified Label

Last week, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the launch of a New York State Grown & Certified Labeling program, including a $20 million food hub in the Bronx. The program aims to label NYS farm fresh food to assure residents that these foods are held to a high standard.

In his announcement, the governor said that many food labels on supermarket shelves have no legal definitions, and noted that this new certification program will be the first to inspect farms. Unfortunately, he missed that organic labels have a legal definition, meet a high standard, require annual on-farm and business inspections, and have existed in NYS and the entire country since 2002.

Organic labeling is the most well-defined consumer food label, with a definition written in federal law (OFPA 1990) and detailed regulations used nationwide. They cover practices that eliminate toxic herbicides, chemical fertilizers and GMOs, while assuring consumer safety from chemical residues. Certifiers are accredited by the USDA to administer those regulations. A government-recognized National Organic Standards Board publicly reviews standards twice a year, and receives input from consumer, environmental and farmer organizations to ensure regulations and labels uphold the integrity of organics.

The Northeast Organic Farming Association of NY (NOFA-NY) is the state’s largest federally accredited organic certifier, certifying nearly 900 of 1,400+ NYS farms and food businesses. NOFA-NY oversees the Federal regulations on these farms and businesses, as well as physically inspects them at least once a year to ensure consistent regulation compliance. Our certified farmers and food businesses work hard to comply with regulations, pay to certify and accept both planned and unplanned inspections and testing of their products.

NOFA-NY is pleased that Governor Cuomo has come out so strongly in support of our NYS- produced food, and we encourage further clarification of labels, such as “natural” and “antibiotic free,” which have no legal definitions. But, to put organic in the same category with vague marketing terms does a huge disservice to New York organic farms and businesses, as well as the organic food movement as a whole.

Founded in 1983, NOFA-NY is the premier NYS organization growing a strong organic and sustainable agriculture movement, providing education and assistance to organic and sustainable farmers. It is also a USDA-accredited organic certifier, connects consumers with organic and sustainable farmers, and advocates policies that support a sustainable food and farm system at both the state and federal levels. Will we soon have genetically engineered forests?

In China, the US, and Sweden, new methods of genetic engineering such as CRISPR are being used on forest trees. The first field trials are planned to take place in Sweden with genetically engineered poplars that show a range of genetic changes in their genome that affect flowering, growth, production of branches, leaves, and roots. The goal of this type of engineering is to drastically change the phenotype and characteristics of the trees, without any specific purpose being provided. The poplars are genetically manipulated using various methods of genetic engineering, including the so-called CRISPR technique, which is said to ease deletion and insertion of DNA.

Earlier this year the US Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper added gene-editing techniques such as CRISPR to a list of threats posed by "weapons of mass destruction and proliferation" in the annual worldwide threat assessment report of the US intelligence community. Health Benefits of Organic Agriculture

Organic food contributes to better health through reduced pesticide exposure for all and increased nutritional quality. In order to understand the importance of eating organic food from the perspective of toxic pesticide contamination, we need to look at the whole picture—from the farmworkers who do the valuable work of growing food, to the waterways from which we drink, the air we breathe, and the food we eat. Organic food can feed us and keep us healthy without producing the toxic effects of chemical agriculture.

Pesticide Resistant Whitefly in U.S. Points to Need for Organic Management Strategies - (Beyond Pesticides, August 22, 2016)

An invasive whitefly that is resistant to pesticides has been found outdoors in the U.S. for the first time, prompting a public discussion hosted by the University of Florida Extension Miami-Dade in Homestead, Florida on July 29. And while the fears amongst fruit and vegetable growers over crop devastation are valid, little attention has been paid to the viability and effectiveness of organic and cultural management practices in preventing and managing whiteflies. Meanwhile, chemical intensive agriculture, which is dependent on insecticides to control whiteflies, is harming the same beneficial insects that act as natural predators to the whitefly.

AGROPOLY - A handful of corporations control world food production, by Berne Declaration (DB) & EcoNexus; September 2013 (18 pages)

The world’s human population and food consumption are growing – does this mean the number of companies involved in the food sector is growing as well? The opposite is true: big corporations buy smaller companies and thus increase their market share and power. Hence, companies can dictate prices, terms and conditions and, increasingly, the political framework. Much of what we consume in the North is being produced more cheaply in the Global South. The profits are made by only a few, predominantly Northern, companies. The big losers are the plantation workers and small farmers in the South, as they are the weakest links in the “value chain”. In no other section of the population is hunger so widespread. More and more ecosystems are being degraded and destroyed.

Shiva, who founded a movement in India to promote native seeds, links genetic tinkering to problems in our ecology, economy, and humanity, and sees this as the latest battleground in the war on Planet Earth.

If the links don’t work, you can see these visuals on a post on Stephanie Seneff’s facebook page.

Comments/Visuals by Christian Bogner

In order to activate a brain cell, you need two "neurotransmitters", basically requiring two keys to open a door. One of those transmitters is glycine, the other glutamate. Both produced by your body, hence they are not necessarily required in your diet, hence their are considered non-essential. In Stephanie Seneff's paper "The Possible Link between Autism and Glyphosate Acting as Glycine Mimetic - A Review of Evidence from the Literature with Analysis", you can see how deep the rabbithole really goes. Roundup contains glyphosate, which has a chemical name of N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine (!!). So glyphosate is a "non-human' chemical that is one of the two keys.

The other key is glutamine. Incredible chemical. Again, not needed in the diet. We produce it. MSG contains it. It's glutamine bound to salt as a carrier. It is the only amino acid that tastes like something. Food industry became powerful when introduced in the 50s. Since this is the other key next to glyphosate, neurons start firing without the concious mind controlling it. You are basically killing the mind. Brain inflammation is the result. ADHD and autism one of the consequences, but that mostly due to heavy extra glutamate in the MMR vaccine. Glutamate accccelerates brain growth because it is so stimulating to neuroactivation. But it is truly toxic after all. Thousands of studies demonstrate toxicity.

If glufosinate now is introduced and we see small brains, then it would be a neuronal blocker, rather then the 2nd key that activated proliferation.

Visually: This would be normal. Your own chemicals required for activation of the brain cell.

A diet high in GMOs would be visually representable like this, where we have glyphosate acting like your own glycine.

Visually, I see ADHD as simply being extra glutamate from a diet rich in MSG and other derivatives of glutamic acid.

Visually, autism is just a mega dose of glutamate, eg. 0.4mg of L-glutamate bypassing the liver by being injected via MMR vaccine programs

A study from Argentina showed that when frog and chicken embryos were injected with glyphosate, they had horrific head and brain malformations. 30,000 physicians went to protest GMO cropping on Argentina's streets recently. The principal researcher on glyphosate's toxic effects has meanwhile died (hmmmm...). Here is his paper:

Millions Spent, No One Served: Who Is to Blame for the Failure of GMO Golden Rice?

In their weekly column Schaffer and Ray (2016) reported about a meeting with an employee of the US State Department and discussing the benefits of GM crops for farmers and consumers in the Global South and whether or not farmers would have to pay a technology fee and purchase, for example, the golden rice seed each year. The State Department representative stated that the companies that own the patents would be willing to make the golden rice (or virus-resistant cassava) available at no cost provided that the countries adopted US patent regimes to protect other GM crops. From a policy perspective, such a ‘humanitarian’ license agreement would thereby present a highly profitable transaction, a means to ‘encourage’ developing countries that often do not even have patent laws of their own to accept the US patent regime and so ensure the profits of US companies and patent holders in perpetuity. In corporate agriculture it seems, nothing is really for free.

Marijuana Fed Pigs Are Bigger And Tastier Without Antibiotics Or Hormones

Where Have All the Farmers Gone?

An even more worrisome form of concentration, according to Bill Heffernan, a rural sociologist at the University of Missouri, is the emergence of several clusters of firms that-through mergers, takeovers, and alliances with other links in the food chain-now possess "a seamless and fully vertically integrated control of the food system from gene to supermarket shelf." (See diagram, page 20.) Consider the recent partnership between Monsanto and Cargill, which controls seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, farm finance, grain collection, grain processing, livestock feed processing, livestock production, and slaughtering, as well as some well-known processed food brands. From the standpoint of a company like Cargill, such alliances yield tremendous control over costs and can therefore be extremely profitable.

But suppose you're the farmer. Want to buy seed to grow corn? If Cargill is the only buyer of corn in a hundred mile radius, and Cargill is only buying a particular Monsanto corn variety for its mills or elevators or feedlots, then if you don't plant Monsanto's seed you won't have a market for your corn. Need a loan to buy the seed? Go to Cargill-owned Bank of Ellsworth, but be sure to let them know which seed you'll be buying. Also mention that you'll be buying Cargill's Saskferco brand fertilizer. OK, but once the corn is grown, you don't like the idea of having to sell to Cargill at the prices it dictates? Well, maybe you'll feed the corn to your pigs, then, and sell them to the highest bidder. No problem-Cargill's Excel Corporation buys pigs, too. OK, you're moving to the city, and renouncing the farm life! No more home-made grits for breakfast, you're buying corn flakes. Well, good news: Cargill Foods supplies corn flour to the top cereal makers. You'll notice, though, that all the big brands of corn flakes seem to have pretty much the same hefty price per ounce. After all, they're all made by the agricultural oligopoly.

"As the circle of interested parties is drawn wider, the alliance ultimately shortens the distance between farmer and consumer," observes Mark Ritchie, president of the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, a research and advocacy group often at the center of these partnerships. This closer proximity may prove critical to the ultimate sustainability of our food supply, since socially and ecologically sound buying habits are not just the passive result of changes in the way food is produced, but can actually be the most powerful drivers of these changes. The explosion of farmers' markets, community-supported agriculture, and other direct buying arrangements between farmers and consumers points to the growing numbers of nonfarmers who have already shifted their role in the food chain from that of choosing from the tens of thousands of food brands offered by a few dozen companies to bypassing such brands altogether. And, since many of the additives and processing steps that take up the bulk of the food dollar are simply the inevitable consequence of the ever-increasing time commercial food now spends in global transit and storage, this shortening of distance between grower and consumer will not only benefit the culture and ecology of farm communities. It will also give us access to much fresher, more flavorful, and more nutritious food. Luckily, as any food marketer can tell you, these characteristics aren't a hard sell.

What Are Toxic Algal Blooms? Stony Brook University's Christopher Gobler Explains

How does our food system factor into this national and global problem?

The largest source of nitrogen to coastal ecosystems globally is farm fertilizer primarily due to the inefficient use of synthetic nitrogen fertilizer. In other regions, concentrated animal feeding operations [CAFOs, or factory farms] represent a strong local source of nitrogen that has been shown to promote and stimulate HABs.

What role is there for policymakers to play in tackling nitrogen pollution from the agricultural sector? Are there practical solutions in place that reduce the problem of nitrogen pollution and algal blooms?

When it comes to HABs, solutions are often site-specific. That being said, the most intense blue-green algae blooms across the US in Florida, the Great Lakes, Utah, California and elsewhere are associated with agricultural fertilizers. In each of these cases, it makes sense for policy makers to carefully examine agricultural practices in these regions and nationally to protect surface waters and human health against toxic HABs. In other, more urbanized regions, wastewater is the major source of nitrogen to coastal waters. Technological advances are making it possible to sharply reduce nitrogen from these sources.

Reckless Driving: Gene drives and the end of nature

Gene drives can entirely re-engineer ecosystems, create fast spreading extinctions, and intervene in living systems at a scale far beyond anything ever imagined. When gene drives are engineered into a fast-reproducing species they could alter their populations within short timeframes, from months to a few years, and rapidly cause extinction. This radical new technology, also called a “mutagenic chain reaction,” [1] is unlike anything seen before. It combines the extreme genetic engineering of synthetic biolog y and new gene editing techniques with the idea that humans can and should use such powerful unlimited tools to control nature. Gene drives will change the fundamental relationship between humanity and the natural world forever.

The latest bombshell to come from Anthony Samsel is from the sixth paper, which is not yet published, but whose supporting data is already making waves – various popular vaccines are contaminated with glyphosate.

Anthony Samsel was not passing opinion on this. Rather, he collected vast samples of these popular vaccines and got them tested by multiple labs in USA for presence of Glyphosate, and found, as he suspected, the vaccines to be largely contaminated by it.

In the course of the interview, Anthony Samsel mentioned the issues being covered in their next paper, the 6th one. This covers a number of vaccines that use animal byproducts such as egg protein and gelatine. He suspected these products might be contaminated with Glyphosate, if the vaccine makers were using factory farmed animals fed with Glyphosate laced GMO feed.

To verify, he got a large number of vaccines that do use egg proteins and gelatine and got them analyzed in multiple labs. The results confirmed his doubt. The vaccines themselves are largely contaminated with Glyphosate and pose serious hazard to those that are and will be vaccinated using these products.

Zika Virus or Glyphosate Exposure Causing Microcephaly

Dr Yaneer Bar-Yam reviewed this same data from the Colombia surveillance study After reviewing this data, Dr Yaneer Bar-Yam concluded in his own report entitled: “Is Zika the cause of Microcephaly?” that there is no direct link between zika virus and microcephaly, and he proposed pesticide exposure (pyriproxyfen) in the drinking water as an alternative explanation(99):

“This (data) would seem to rule out Zika as a cause of microcephaly. This gives a consistent interpretation that there is no direct link between Zika and microcephaly except for random co-occurrence.”….”An alternative cause of microcephaly in Brazil could be the pesticide pyriproxyfen, which is cross-reactive with retinoic acid, which causes microcephaly, and is being used in drinking water.”(99)

Over Two Million Bees Killed after Aerial Mosquito Spraying in South Carolina

(Beyond Pesticides, September 2, 2016) Last Sunday, beekeepers in Dorchester County, South Carolina emerged from their homes to find their yards and farms, once full of busy buzzing, littered with the honey bees. The cause was no mystery – a massive bee-kill had occurred due to aerial spraying of Naled, a highly toxic insecticide used primarily to control adult mosquitoes. The county announced plans to spray two days before the incident, when four travel-related cases of Zika virus were confirmed in the area by the state Department of Health and Environmental Control. The spraying occurred between 6:30 and 8:30am.

Samsel - Part 1 of the full interview about Glyphosate V paper

Glyphosate gets mistakenly picked up by our RNA

AUG 31, 2016 — Anthony Samsel/ Stephanie Seneff's peer reviewed paper on Glyphosate, fifth volume, is out. In an interview with Tony Mitra, he lays out the proof how glyphosate as an analog (mimic) of glycine, gets picked up by our body and used by our RNA, mistakenly thinking it is glycine, and how glyphosate then goes into various parts of our biology and how, once it gets there, it creates malfunctioning proteins that become the trigger for illness and disease.

This is the first part of a multipart section.

IN the subsequent parts - more proof and evidence will be provided by Anthony Samsel, showing how test data from the producers of Glyphosate based herbicide such as Monsanto and DuPont clearly shows how Glyphosate invades our biology, like a Trojan Horse. However, the makers of the product never catch on because they were looking at the wrong places for the wrong things. And neither does EPA catch on because they are essentially ignorant on the ways Glyphosate actually hurts the living planet. EPA literally uses the wrong book while approving glyphosate.

Thats not all. Samsel also speaks of how a large number of todays vaccines contain glyphosate as a contaminant and how vaccinated people can pick up this dangerous molecule which then can trigger all sorts of diseases. He is not speculating, but has the proof in way of lab test results that show vaccines are containing glyphosate as a contaminant, and provides advise on how vaccine makers should check for this and how they might avoid poisoning their vaccines with this contaminant.

Cautionary note and alerts have already been sent by Anthony Samsel to the health authorities in the US, through his senator Jeanne Shaheen, as well as to the United Nations and other medical institutions.

I am getting a copy of these letters and intend to also send them to Canadian counter parts including the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

So hang on and wait for the rest.

This video is about 28 minutes long.

Glyphosate pathways to modern diseases V: Amino acid analogue of glycine in diverse proteins

Glyphosate, a synthetic amino acid and analogue of glycine, is the most widely used biocide on the planet. Its presence in food for human consumption and animal feed is ubiquitous. Epidemiological studies have revealed a strong correlation between the increasing incidence in the United States of a large number of chronic diseases and the increased use of glyphosate herbicide on corn, soy and wheat crops. Glyphosate, acting as a glycine analogue, may be mistakenly incorporated into peptides during protein synthesis. A deep search of the research literature has revealed a number of protein classes that depend on conserved glycine residues for proper function. Glycine, the smallest amino acid, has unique properties that support flexibility and the ability to anchor to the plasma membrane or the cytoskeleton. Glyphosate substitution for conserved glycines can easily explain a link with diabetes, obesity, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary edema, adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, Alzheimer’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, prion diseases, lupus, mitochondrial disease, non- Hodgkin’s lymphoma, neural tube defects, infertility, hypertension, glaucoma, osteoporosis, fatty liver disease and kidney failure. The correlation data together with the direct biological evidence make a compelling case for glyphosate action as a glycine analogue to account for much of glyphosate’s toxicity. Glufosinate, an analogue of glutamate, likely exhibits an analogous toxicity mechanism. There is an urgent need to find an effective and economical way to grow crops without the use of glyphosate and glufosinate as herbicides.

Tony Mitra

"This being the fifth, there are also the previsous four papers on different aspects of Glyphosate, all are showing how the chemical is dangerous to our biology.

Far as I know, science journals when they have articles peer reveiewed, do not let the original author or anybody in public know the names of people who peer reveiws the papers. The author only gets notifications of texts, sections or sentences that have not been accepted by the review process and the reason. If the author is able to redo the paper to their satisfaction, then the paper is published, if not, it is rejected.

Samsel stands out at being the very first among all scientists, to draw our attention to the fact that Glyphosate is a different kind of killer chemical and pure toxicological test does not do it justice. The chemical does not have high acute toxicity, and therefore has been approved by EPA. However, it has this unique property of being an analog of (mimic of) glycine, an amino acid that is part of a building block of all life. Therefore, when an organism such as a human, needs to create cells or other structures to replenish dead or damaged ones, it picks up some of the amino acids from our food, which circulates in our blood stream. Due to Glyphosate being an analog of Glycine, it is mistakenly picked up by our body, assuming it to be glycine, and thus our RNA takes it and reconstructs complex structures/cells that to go into various parts of our body, where they create new proteins that we need. Unfortunately, Glyphsoate does not behave like Glycine and ends up creating trunkated, misfolded or defective proteins, which in turn triggers illnesses of diseases of a vast variety, depending on where in our body it happens to be.

This behavior of Glyphosate was not known, and therefore not recognized by either Monsanto or EPA or other scientists, and hence it has been ignored for decades. But not any more.

Samsel has gotten hold of tens of thousands of pages of hitherto sealed safety tests done on Glyphosate by makers such as Monsanto and DuPont through a legal understanding with EPA, and has been revisiting the test data and finds evidence of his claims, which forms the basis of his papers.

He has has one serious meeting with EPA already, sort of educating them of how this amino acid analog of glycine can enter our body where it should not, and harm living creatures, bypassing our immune system, and how the safety test results provide the proof of it, if one looks at the right place.

EPA has recently started calling GLyphosate an amino acid, instead of just a herbicide, which is a major improvement.

They are scheduled to have a serious four day internal meeting in the next few months, to discuss this issue. It is possible that they will allow Anthony Samsel to participate in that meeting, perhaps electronically from long distance, to answer questions or clarify any confusion etc.

Meanwhile, if you google "Glyphosate pathways to modern diseases" you should find increasing mention/links of these studies and papers published on some of the social media such as from Dr. Mercola etc.

This is sort of breaking news. The pro-GMO and pesticide sections of the academia and scientific body are not happy with this topic, because their bread is buttered on the reverse side. There is a usual tendencey, therefore, to avoid engaging in the actual topic, and instead badmouth and discredit the messenger, or the scientist. This is also happening to Samsel, to an extent.

Also, scientists such as Seralini finds the toxicity of the combined package of RoundUp herbicide to be more toxic than just Glyphosate, justifiably. His supporters would like the focus to remain there, and not be side tracked by new findings where Glyphosate alone can do slow but steady and serious harm to living creatures by being absorbed into our biology in place of Glycine.

Thus, competition and jealousy also clouds up science research.

The latest bombshell to come is from the sixth paper, which is not yet peer reviewed and will take a while to get published, but whose supporting data is already making waves - various popular vaccines are contaminated with glyphosate. Therefore, once we know how glyphosate is a pathway to diseases, it can explain how these vaccines can cause a plethora of diseases for allowing glyphosate to be injected into us through those vaccines. Anthony samsel did not find evidence of that from existing safety tests on Glyphosate. Rather, he collected vast samples of these popular vaccines and got them tested by multiple labs in USA for presence of Glyphosate, and found, as he suspected, to be largely contaminated by it."

And since we now know that vaccines contain glyphosate, you might want to know about this...

CDC Proposes Rule to Apprehend and Detain anyone, anywhere, at any time, for any duration, without Due Process or right of Appeal - and administer FORCED Vaccinations!

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has proposed a "rule" giving them the power to apprehend and detain anyone, anywhere, at any time, without Due Process or any right of appeal, and to hold that person in quarantine for as long as the CDC wants -- and no one can refuse them! Editor's Opinion: This is the kind of tyranny that the Second Amendment is designed to protect Americans from.

Based on CDC's 8/15/16 publication of ' Rules for the Control of Communicable Diseases', the CDC is giving itself the power to forcibly apprehend healthy people en masse, and detain them indefinitely with no process of appeal.

Kindly enough the CDC is giving the public until 10/14/2016 to comment on its new found extra-Constitutional power,

"and whether there are any public concerns with the absence of a specific maximum apprehension period in the regulation."

Of course and as would be expected from a totalitarian unconstitutional power grab,

"When an apprehension occurs, the individual is not free to leave or discontinue his/her discussion with an HHS/CDC public health or quarantine officer."

Moreover, the CDC also would like the public's input on the fact their power is not limited to just individual persons but rather they could apprehend entire cities in mass if they so desired:

"HHS/CDC specifically requests public comment on this proposed provision to issue Federal orders to entire groups rather than individuals."

And as is to be expected since its impossible to give a medical examine to an entire city, the CDC would also like your comments on the fact

"the proposed practice to issue Federal orders before a medical examination has taken place. "

For those wishing to give the CDC their requested comments on their new found powers, the link to make such comments can be found under the SOURCE links at the end of this article. Anyone who is interested would do well to read the CDC's entire publication in the Federal Register.

The CDC's claimed power follows these Stages:

1. You (or your city) are declared "precommunicable"
2. Apprehension and Detention [A&D]
3. Order of Isolation, Quarantine, or Conditional Release

In stage 1:

"CDC defines precommunicable stage to mean the stage beginning upon an individual's earliest opportunity for exposure to an infectious agent",

as previously indicated CDC does NOT need to give a medical exam to declare you (or your city) "precommunicable". In fact, you may be perfectly healthy, unexposed, and uninfected. All that is required is for someone to say they suspect you (or your city) had a nebulous general and poorly defined "opportunity" for exposure.

Moreover, you don't even get any due process to prove you had zero opportunity to be exposed until after CDC has proceeded on to Stage 3; The rub being the CDC can hold you (or your city) at Stage 2 indefinitely with no appeal by never proceeding to Stage 3. ie Do Not Pass Go, Go Directly To Jail.

In Stage 2:

CDC sneaks in its unlimited and unchecked authority. They've couched this authority by describing how they "generally" expect it to work in a temporary manner, but they've also clearly stated it is open ended and there is no discussion of due process in the A&D phase (again CDC wants your comments on this fact).

To see how CDC's concept of unlimited city wide Apprehension and Detention would play out, watch CDC's very own 2011 propaganda movieContagion. A movie basically written for and by the CDC to scare the public into funding them and showcase how their heroic dream response to an outbreak would unfold.

There is no onus on the CDC to end the Apprehension phase, or to proceed on to issuing orders of isolation, quarantine, or conditional release; As such you (or your city) can be held in apprehension and detention indefinitely.

In Stage 3:

IF an order of isolation, quarantine, or conditional release is issued, the CDC gives those so ordered one chance in the first 72 hours to ask CDC to change their minds, after which unlimited detention is again on the table.

The CDC can stop, detain, and jail you anywhere.

The other key factors of note is that the CDC does NOT limit this power to the international borders. CDC says it can take such actions any where in the USA based on a claim that every action affects interstate travel.

CDC claims it can set up check points at any bus or train station in the country, or at any location that might affect interstate travel.

CDC claims that the simple act of lining up at any CDC checkpoint gives them irrevocable authority to force you to be screened. "an individual's refusal to be screened may result in quarantine, isolation, or conditional release" This could be in your car stuck in traffic at a CDC check point, a bus station, a taxi-stand, etc etc.

"(holding that a passenger consents to an airport security search by presenting himself/herself for boarding and that such consent may not be revoked by simply walking away). Thus, in order to protect interstate travel from communicable disease threats, HHS/CDC intends for this section to apply broadly to all circumstances where individuals may queue with other travelers"

"HHS/CDC believes that the rationale for airport security screenings may be extended to other forms of transportation, e.g., trains and buses, because of the similar “administrative” or special governmental need in preventing interstate communicable disease spread"

"CDC may enter into an agreement with an individual, upon such terms as the CDC considers to be reasonably necessary, indicating that the individual consents to any of the public health measures authorized under this part, including quarantine, isolation, conditional release, medical examination, hospitalization, vaccination, and treatment; provided that the individual's consent shall not be considered as a prerequisite to any exercise of any authority under this part."

Even though the CDC believes it can force all the above procedures on individuals and groups, it also uses "voluntary agreements" for the sole purpose of making forced actions easier to perform. Anyone breaking these "voluntary agreements", even if they didn't agree to them, is subject to criminal prosecution.

"individuals who violate the terms of the agreement or the terms of the Federal order for quarantine, isolation, or conditional release (even if no agreement is in place between the individual and the government), he or she may be subject to criminal penalties"

Surprisingly, the one thing CDC's left out of this rule making is the creation of the their own armed Federal Police Force to carry out these action; but it can't be far off.

This is simple: If any agency of any government tries to stop innocent, healthy people, without cause, without warrant and without charge, then tries to detain, quarantine or imprison you, then what they are doing is unlawful denial of Constitutional rights and you have just grounds to SHOOT THEM. If you choose to shoot, make certain you SHOOT FIRST and SHOOT TO KILL.

"The movie Vaxxed has reignited public debate on the issue of vaccines, particularly MMR, and autism. However, the movie does not really address the question of HOW MMR might cause autism. In this presentation, I will show how glyphosate, the active ingredient in the pervasive herbicide, Roundup, can work synergistically with the live measles virus in MMR to cause neurological damage in the brain through an autoimmune reaction due to molecular mimicry."

A significant portion of the talk will address the novel idea that glyphosate can substitute for the amino acid glycine during protein synthesis by mistake, with devastating health consequences. I will provide several specific suggestions for how to avoid glyphosate exposure and how to make healthy nutritional and lifestyle choices.”

Moms Across America tests for Glyphosate in Childhood Vaccines

Moms Across America’s Zen Honeycutt sent vaccines to an independent lab earlier this year for testing because “vaccines contain many ingredients which could be genetically modified. 80% of GMOs are genetically engineered to withstand glyphosate based herbicides and glyphosate is allowed on 160 non organic food and feed crops by the EPA. We wondered if glyphosate could be contaminating not only our water, urine, breast milk, food, soil, beer and wine, but our vaccines as well.”

Moms Across America has sent a letter on September 1, 2016 to the FDA, CDC, EPA, NIH, California Department of Health, and Senator Boxer requesting that they make it a priority to test vaccines for glyphosate, recall contaminated vaccines and for the EPA to revoke the license of glyphosate to prevent further contamination. “And in the meantime we call upon our lawmakers to rescind the mandate which forces parents to vaccinate their child in order to attend school, in light of extraordinary new evidence.”

Honeycutt states, “We were shocked to find the presence of glyphosate in all five of the vaccines and to find that the contamination of glyphosate has extended into our medical treatments. The fact is that the CDC, vaccine makers and our regulatory agencies should have been testing for herbicide/pesticide contamination 40 years ago before they started spraying these chemicals on our food and feed crops. If anyone questions these results we ask them to test.”

The tests were conducted with the Elisa method, (link to full report here) which is regarded by the scientific community as a screening method only and not as accurate as HPLC mass spectrometry. Honeycutt reports that they asked numerous labs to test additional vaccines for glyphosate over the past few months and they have been unable to test. After learning of MAA’s results, an independent scientist (Anthony Samsel) conducted numerous rounds of testing, and has confirmed the presence of glyphosate in vaccines. He sent his data to Senator Sheehan, the FDA, NIH, elected government officials, major media, last week and received no response. One can contact Senator Sheehan for the additional test results.

The glyphosate in vaccines report:

MIT scientist Dr.Stephanie Seneff on the presence of glyphosate in vaccines. “Collagen is a protein found in large amounts in the ligaments of cows, and these ligaments are often used in the production of gelatin. The MMR vaccine and flu vaccine viruses are grown as live cultures on gelatin sourced from cows fed high concentrations of glyphosate in
their GMO RoundupReady feed. Collagen antibodies are linked to multiple diseases such as vasculitis and lupus, as shown in the abstract below. This could plausibly be due to glyphosate contamination in the protein which prevents it from folding properly and prevents it from being broken down, causing an allergic immune reaction.(3) Further testing on glyphosate in collagen would be very beneficial.

Glyphosate could also be present in the sucrose (sugar) in many vaccines, including the flu vaccine and MMR. Sucrose could be sourced from GMO sugar beets or from cane sugar sprayed with glyphosate right before harvest. Soy is also present in some vaccines, such as pneumococcal and HepB. This is most likely GMO RoundupReady soy, another clear source of glyphosate. Another possibility is casein. Casein is found in milk which is found in DtAP, meningococcal and Tdap vaccines. Casein is a protein with glycine residues that could be substituted by glyphosate by mistake during protein synthesis.”

50 year plant pathologist and soil microbiologist Dr. Don M. Huber Professor Emeritus, Purdue University comments: "This report shows that vaccines may contain glyphosate and they may contain genetically modified components as well, two products which totally counteract the immune system.

The quantity of material that vaccine producers require for production of a vaccine is relatively small. There is little reason for vaccine producers to not use the highest quality ingredients to ensure purity because of the highly invasive nature of the process."

From Farmer Educator, Howard Vlieger: “It is regrettable that farmers have been severely misled to believe that glyphosate based herbicides are harmless. The truth about glyphosate herbicides has NEVER been told to farmers on the radio or in farm publications. Because of this and the weed resistance to glyphosate the rates of glyphosate that are applied per acre are obscenely high. Glyphosate has become ubiquitous in our environment and is destined to follow the same path as DDT. I believe history will show that glyphosate will meet the same fate as DDT and it cannot happen
soon enough.”

Dr. Toni Bark MD MHEM LEED AP states, “ I am deeply concerned about injecting glyphosate, a known pesticide, directly into children. Neither roundup nor glyphosate has been tested for safety as an injectable. Injection is a very different route of entry than oral route. Injected toxins, even in minute doses can have profound effects on the organs and the different systems of the body. In addition, injecting a chemical along with an adjuvant or live virus, can induce severe allergic reactions to that substance as vaccines induce the immune system to create antibodies to whatever is included in the vaccine. Since glyphosate is heavily used in corn, soy, wheat, cotton, and other commodities, we can
expect to see more severe food allergies in the vaccine recipients. In addition, chemicals in ultra low doses, can have powerful effects on physiology behaving almost as hormones, stimulating or suppressing physiological receptors. “

Seneff: “Evidence from emails that Monsanto played a direct role in the retraction of the seminal long-term rat study paper by Seralini et al.”

Damning Emails Against Monsanto-Bayer

The email exchanges confirm charges this writer made at the time that Monsanto and other GMO industry companies acted to destroy the scientific evidence by destroying the scientific reputation of Seralini and associates. Now the sordid corruption attempt has backfired on Monsanto.

The facts…

Monsanto ‘edits’ Food and Chemical Toxicology…

...Goodman wrote his Monsanto contact that he “would appreciate” it if Monsanto could provide him with criticisms against the Seralini piece. Monsanto replied to Goodman, “We’re reviewing the paper. I will send you the arguments that we have developed.” A few days later, Goodman was named “associate editor” responsible for biotechnology, i.e. GMO, a specially-created post at Food and Chemical Toxicology journal, by Wallace Hayes, then editor.

With Goodman on board at the journal, Hayes initiated an unprecedented step of a second round of “peer” review, the first review being the one that led to the study being published. In a manner more suitable to the 15th Century Spanish Tribunal del Santo Oficio de la Inquisición, the reviewers were kept anonymous so that presence of Monsanto or GMO-industry-linked scientists, as editor Hayes had requested of Monsanto, would be impossible to confirm. The anonymous “peers” concluded that the Seralini paper, which had already passed peer-review and had been published for a year, and had nothing demonstrated to be wrong with it beyond the fact that, in common with countless other scientific papers, it was “inconclusive” on some endpoints, was unsuitable for publication and was immediately removed, over vehement protest from scientists from around the world.

Bayer confirms $66bn Monsanto takeover

German chemicals giant Bayer has confirmed its record-breaking $66bn takeover of GM seeds business Monsanto - a deal that would create the world's biggest seeds and pesticides company.

A Deadly Union: Monsanto and Bayer’s Lethal Legacy

During his address to The Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal in 1946, Chief Prosecutor Telford Taylor declared that “These companies, not the lunatic Nazi fanatics, are the main war criminals. If the guilt of these criminals is not brought to daylight and if they are not punished, they will pose a much greater threat to the future peace of the world than Hitler if he were still alive.”

Monsanto and the Poisonous Cartel of GMOs in India

The Farben family chemical cartel was responsible for exterminating people in concentration camps. It embodies a century of ecocide and genocide, carried out in the name of scientific experimentation and innovation. Today, the poison cartel is wearing G-Engineering clothes and citing the mantra of “innovation” ad nauseam. Hitler’s concentration camps were an “innovation” in killing; and almost a century later, the Farben family is carrying out the same extermination—silently, globally and efficiently.

13 Academics Who Have Become Shills for Corporate Giants in the Food, Agrochemical and Fossil Fuel Industries

Here are 13 prominent university professors who appear to have stepped over the line between big business and academia.

Soybean Genetic Modification

Basic explanation of gene insertion into plants via agrobacterium using soybeans as an example.

Professor Dr Marc Cohen Chemicals Are Killing Us Interview

Medical practitioner and RMIT University Health Sciences Professor Dr Marc Cohen says a massive overload of chemicals in our food and environment is killing most people before their time.

He says while chemicals can be toxic, they can also be extremely addictive and profitable.
"Our global society has become addicted to cheap, readily available fossil fuel and the 120,000 commercial chemicals derived from it," Professor Cohen said.
"Chemical industries currently run the world with a handful of big oil, agriculture, pharma and food companies controlling the majority of the world's energy, food, health and security.
"Our widespread use and dependence on industrial chemicals has contaminated the entire biosphere including our own bodies."

Professor Cohen said the world's most comprehensive environmental chemical biomonitoring study was the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey conducted by the Center for Disease Control in the United States.

"The most recent report examined 212 chemicals and found chemicals such as PBDEs and BPA in nearly all participants tested," he said.

"This study also confirmed previous reports suggesting that children bear the brunt of the toxic burden, with children being found to be more toxic than adolescents, who are in turn more toxic than adults.

"Children are not just little adults; they have higher food, fluid and air intake per kilogram of body weight and a higher metabolic rate and higher absorption of toxins than adults, as well as having immature detoxification and immune systems, developing organ systems and a longer latency period in which to develop chronic disease."

Michigan Loses ‘Right To Farm’ This Week: A Farewell To Backyard Chickens and Beekeepers

The Michigan Farm Bureau endorsed the new regulatory changes. Matthew Kapp, government relations specialist with Michigan Farm Bureau, told MLive that the members weighed in and felt that people raising livestock need to conform to local zoning ordinances. The Farm Bureau did not feel Michigan’s Right To Farm Act was meant to protect the smaller farms, and ultimately the Michigan Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development agreed.

Monsanto Seeds Unleash Unintended Consequences Across U.S. Farms

Part one of the plan is done. The seeds are in the market. The second part is not -- and that’s a big problem. Some farmers growing the new seeds seem to be enjoying the sense of invincibility it’s given them. Despite state and federal prohibitions, they’ve taken to spraying dicamba, and the stuff has been drifting all over the U.S. heartland. For folks like Landon Hayes, who grows earlier-generation soybeans in Campbell, Missouri, the consequences have been costly. He says 500 acres of his crops were damaged this summer by stray wisps of dicamba. And now he feels compelled to buy the engineered Monsanto seeds to avoid injury next season.

Sweet Deal? Sugar Industry Blamed Fat In Fake Studies

“These internal documents show that the Sugar Research Foundation initiated coronary heart disease research in 1965 to protect market share and that its first project, a literature review, was published in the New English Journal of Medicine without disclosure of the sugar industry’s funding or role,” stated the study.

The internal sugar industry documents were found in public archives by a researcher at the University of California, San Francisco.
The sugar industry paid Harvard researchers in the 1960s to bury research linking sugar intake to heart disease and to instead make fat the culprit, according to a study of archival documents.

Genetically Engineered Foods: A History of Deception - 9/14/16

Steven Druker is a public interest attorney who initiated a lawsuit that forced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to divulge its files on genetically engineered foods. This revealed that politically influenced administrators had covered up the extensive warnings of their own scientists about the abnormal risks, misrepresented the facts, and then ushered these novel products onto the market in violation of explicit mandates of federal food safety law.

Sanders Statement on Monsanto-Bayer Deal

“The attempted takeover of Monsanto by Bayer is a threat to all Americans. These mergers boost the profits of huge corporations and leave Americans paying even higher prices. Not only should this merger be blocked, but the Department of Justice should reopen its investigation of Monsanto’s monopoly over the seed and chemical market.”

The Monsanto–Bayer tie-up is just one of seven; Mega-Mergers and Big Data Domination Threaten Seeds, Food Security

Policymakers could still block the agribiz mergers; peasants and farmers will continue the fight for seeds and rights

“These deals are not just about seeds and pesticides, but also about who will control Big Data in agriculture,” says Pat Mooney of ETC Group, an International Civil Society Organization headquartered in Canada that monitors agribusiness and agricultural technologies. “The company that can dominate seed, soil and weather data and crunch new genomics information will inevitably gain control of global agricultural inputs – seeds, pesticides, fertilizers and farm machinery.”

Neth Daño, ETC’s Asia Director, continues, “Farmers and regulators should be watching out for the seventh M&A – John Deere and Company’s bid to merge its Big Data expertise with Monsanto-owned Precision Planting LLD. After the Bayer-Monsanto merger, it’s not clear whether Precision Planting will go to Deere and Co. or if Bayer will protect its future in agricultural data.” Daño, based in the Philippines, points out that “Deere started connecting its farm machinery to GPS in 2001 and since then has invested heavily in sensors that can track and adjust seed, pesticide and fertilizer inputs meter by meter. The company has 15 years of historic data as well as access to terabytes of other weather, production and market data. Quite literally, Deere and the other farm machinery companies (the top three account for half of the world market) own the box in which the other input enterprises have to dump their products. That means Deere also owns the information.”

Silvia Ribeiro, Director of ETC’s Latin American office, agrees that the latest news confirming Monsanto agreement has “created alarm throughout Latin America and raised big concerns about increased input prices, more privatization of research and huge pressure from these Giant companies to make laws and regulations in our countries that allow them to dominate markets, crush farmers’ rights and make peasant seeds illegal.”

FDA Finds Monsanto’s Weed Killer in U.S. Honey

In examining honey samples from various locations in the United States, the FDA has found fresh evidence that residues of the weed killer called glyphosate can be pervasive - found even in a food that is not produced with the use of glyphosate. All of the samples the FDA tested in a recent examination contained glyphosate residues, and some of the honey showed residue levels double the limit allowed in the European Union, according to documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. There is no legal tolerance level for glyphosate in honey in the United States.

The consolidation of these six highly competitive companies into three juggernauts has left many farmers and consumers uneasy. Monsanto licenses CRISPR technology to modify crops — with key restrictions

Leading the list of those concerns is gene drive, in which CRISPR-based genome editing alters normal inheritance in such a way that traits are always passed on to offspring. That could spread a new gene throughout an entire population in only a few generations. If the trait is, say, the ability to kill insects, then making that gene ubiquitous in a crop could pose unknown threats to ecosystems, a recent National Research Council report warned.

The Broad also stipulated that Monsanto not use CRISPR-Cas9 to create sterile (“terminator”) seeds. In this approach, genetically altered crops do not produce fertile seeds, so farmers must buy them every year, a financial burden to them but a boon for the seed companies. No such crops have been commercially deployed, and the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity recommended they not be developed.

The non-exclusive license also cannot be used for any R&D on tobacco that’s related to smoking. That might include making the plants tolerant to temperature extremes or pests, which could increase the yields that farmers get on their harmful product.

EPA and CDC Mislead Local and State Officials and the Public on Safety of Mosquito Pesticides Used for Zika Virus

(Washington D.C. September 15, 2016) Beyond Pesticides today urged the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to immediately alert local and state mosquito control officials, elected officials, and the public throughout the U.S. to the fact that EPA’s key data reviews on the safety of widely used mosquito control pesticides, including naled and synthetic pyrethroids, are outdated and incomplete and the scientific literature raises safety concerns. Court Rules Consumers and Farmers Can Sue USDA for Weakening Standard that Allows Synthetics in Organic

(Beyond Pesticides September 12, 2016) On Thursday, September 8, a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California rejected the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) motion to dismiss a federal lawsuit (Case No. 15-cv-01590-HSG) that challenges changes to the rules that review the potential hazards and need for allowed synthetic and prohibited natural substances used in certified organic food production. Finding that plaintiffs had established both proper jurisdiction and a viable claim, this ruling allows the case to move forward on its merit. The court will now be able to review the substantive importance of formal notice and public comment regarding the rules for organic food production, which were changed dramatically by USDA in 2013.

EPA Proposes that Glyphosate (Roundup) Does Not Cause Cancer

(Beyond Pesticides, September 21, 2016) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Pesticide Programs released last week its Glyphosate Issue Paper in which the agency is proposing to classify glyphosate as “not likely to be carcinogenic to humans at doses relevant for human health risk assessment.” Glyphosate, the controversial active ingredient in Roundup, was classified in 2015 by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a “probable carcinogen” and numerous studies have associated the chemical with cancer and other human health issues. However, EPA’s proposed a classification that is contrary, not only to WHO’s, but also a position it had previously held. The issue paper was released in preparation for the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) meeting, October 18-21, which convenes to review EPA’s evaluation of the carcinogenic potential of glyphosate.

Farmers call for Cornell to evict the Alliance for Science

Taking a break from the busy harvest season, 67 New York State organic farmers sent a letter to Dean Boor of the Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and to the Trustees of the University.

The letter respectfully requests that Cornell University evict the “Alliance for Science” from the campus. Funded largely and amply ($5.6 million) by the Gates Foundation, since 2014, the “Alliance for Science” has been spreading propaganda for genetic engineering under the cover of creating a “balanced” view of biotechnology.

“Yet there is no balance to this – nothing in the materials or programs of “The Alliance for Science” is anything but entirely pro-biotechnology. They are without balance or significant critical evaluation of the range of agricultural systems and technologies that exist in food production today,” notes Elizabeth Henderson, organic farmer from Wayne County.

The “Alliance for Science” does not do research itself, but serves as a communications channel, hosts a speaker series and provides funding to train “Global Fellows” from third world countries to spread genetic engineering to their home countries by providing them with the prestige that comes with association with “high caliber expert institution” Cornell and with policy support to influence home governments.

Careful examination of the “Alliance for Science” website reveals not a single critical assessment of genetic engineering, none of the reasonable questions that ecological precaution suggest, and no significant evaluation or critique of the way that increased use of genetically engineered seed, Round-Up Ready corn and soy in particular, has enabled the consolidation of power over the world’s food supply by fewer and fewer chemo-biotech corporations.

“This one-sided public relations machine doesn’t belong embedded in a public institution of higher learning such as Cornell,” concluded Maureen Knapp, an organic dairy farmer from Preble.

EU Commission wants to authorize three GM maize varieties for cultivation

The European Commission is trying to authorize the cultivation of two GM maize varieties, 1507 and Bt11, and to re-authorize MON810, the only GMO currently grown in Europe, according to leaked draft proposals seen by GMWatch. The EU member states are likely to vote on the proposals on 16 November.

The proposed authorizations would only apply in 9 out of 28 EU countries and three regions (England in the UK and Flanders and the Brussels region in Belgium). This is because the remaining 19 governments have made use of the new opt-out mechanism to ban cultivation of GM crops.

Public Health Watchdog Sues Dow Chemical in California Over Air Pollution Caused by Toxic Pesticide

(Beyond Pesticides September 26, 2016) Last week, the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) filed a lawsuit against Dow Agrosciences LLC, also known as Dow Chemical, charging that the “chemical manufacturing giant” fails to warn communities across California about the dangers associated with wide use of the chemical Telone. A trade name for the chemical 1,3-Dicholoropropene, or 1,3-D, Telone is a known carcinogen and is the third most heavily used pesticide in the state. The case focuses on the air pollution caused by the pesticide, as it has been found to linger in the air for multiple days after application, disproportionately impacting the rural communities, often with large minority populations, that live in the immediate vicinity. The case was filed in the State of California Alameda County Superior Court, and Dow has yet to comment or release a statement addressing the allegations against the company.

Upcoming EPA Meetings on Safety of Monsanto Weed Killer Drawing Scrutiny

So it’s no small matter that in mid-October the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to spend four days holding public meetings with a scientific advisory panel on the topic of whether or not glyphosate can cause cancer. The idea of shining a public spotlight on this mounting concern about the world’s most widely used herbicide has not set well with Monsanto and the rest of the industry that profits from glyphosate products like Roundup. Agrichemical interests have gone so far as to tell the EPA that the meetings should not be held at all, and have said that if they are, many of the world’s top scientists should be excluded from participating.

Monsanto Teams Up With Harvard, MIT Institute to Unleash New Unregulated GMOs on Unsuspecting Customers

Monsanto announced recently that it has reached an agreement with the Broad Institute (a biomedical and genomic research institute) of MIT and Harvard University, continuing a trend of corporate infiltration of academia that also included a recent $6 million dollar donation by Bill Gates to help “de-polarize” the debate on GMOs at another top university, Cornell.

Stephanie Seneff: “A new paper has just been published where we made a case for osteonecrosis of the jaw being linked to impaired glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) activity in red blood cells.

G6PD activity is suppressed 2.67 fold in E coli exposed to glyphosate. Also, G6PD contains highly conserved glycines that are essential for its function. Swapping in of glyphosate for one or more of those glycines can be expected to derail this protein. We didn't mention glyphosate in the paper because we knew we would be unable to publish it in this journal if we did.

Finding that plaintiffs had established both proper jurisdiction and a viable claim, this ruling allows the case to move forward on its merit. The court will now be able to review the substantive importance of formal notice and public comment regarding the rules for organic food production, which were changed dramatically by USDA in 2013.

How the FDA Manipulates the Media

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been arm-twisting journalists into relinquishing their reportorial independence, our investigation reveals. Other institutions are following suit.

The deal was this: NPR, along with a select group of media outlets, would get a briefing about an upcoming announcement by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration a day before anyone else. But in exchange for the scoop, NPR would have to abandon its reportorial independence. The FDA would dictate whom NPR's reporter could and couldn't interview.

“My editors are uncomfortable with the condition that we cannot seek reaction,” NPR reporter Rob Stein wrote back to the government officials offering the deal. Stein asked for a little bit of leeway to do some independent reporting but was turned down flat. Take the deal or leave it.

NPR took the deal. “I'll be at the briefing,” Stein wrote.

Later that day in April 2014, Stein—along with reporters from more than a dozen other top-tier media organizations, including CBS, NBC, CNN, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times—showed up at a federal building to get his reward. Every single journalist present had agreed not to ask any questions of sources not approved by the government until given the go-ahead.

“......Both Zen Honeycutt (Moms Across America) and Anthony Samsel (a retired chemist) found glyphosate in vaccines - multiple samples, several different vaccines. Consistent results for one vaccine sent to multiple labs. I'd say it's pretty solid, and it makes sense when you consider what goes into vaccines. I think it may be the main reason why MMR today is so much more dangerous than it was in the 1990's. You can see that very clearly if you analyze the VAERS database statistically.”

“MMR is much more toxic today than it used to be. I have compared the data in VAERS after 2002 compared to before 2002. 9 times as many hospitalizations after 2002, Significantly increased risk for mentions of autism. Anaphylactic shock , facial swelling, seizures, syncopy - all statistically significantly more common after 2002. It's the same vaccine. Why is it more toxic than it used to be? I believe it's because it's picking up glyphosate from the collagen, fetal bovine serum, human serum albumin, and other ingredients that are used in the manufacturing process. Glyphosate usage on corn and soy crops has gone up dramatically over the past two decades in step with the dramatic rise in autism rates.”

Opposed to GMOs? Are Monsanto’s new CRISPR crops any better?

As an Econexus report states of the new techniques: “They aim for deliberate changes to the genetic makeup and traits of an organism; they are laboratory techniques and are prone to off-target effects, as well as unintended effects from the genetic engineering processes.”

The claims of precision in the article below are misleading. Even in cases where the cutting and splicing of genes is more precise, the outcomes are not predictable or controllable. And CRISPR is known to inadvertently alter regions of the genome other than the intended ones.

HUMAN GENE EDITING: A summary overview of the science, research, regulations, ethics and hazards of Gene Editing/CRISPR.

Dr. Latham alarmingly writes that Gene Editing “can induce mutations at sites that differ by as many as five nucleotides from the intended target”, i.e. CRISPR may act at unknown sites in the genome where it is not wanted (u et al., 2014). So far, it is technically not possible to make a single (and only a single) genetic change to a genome using CRISPR and be sure one has done so (Fichtner et al., 2014). As Fichtner noted “in mammalian systems Cas9 causes a high degree of off-target effects”. And at least until modified versions come into use, this will limit the safety, and hopefully limit the application, of CRISPR and related biotechnologies. There is, furthermore, no guarantee that more precise versions of CRISPR are even biologically possible. Technically therefore, precision is a myth: no form of genome editing can do what is currently being claimed.

A Froot Loops Sample was Sent to a Lab for Tests..What They Found Should Have Every Parent Concerned

It found that a full 100% of the corn in Froot Loops was GMO, through a quantitative PCR test by DNA analysis that found sequences that are known to be present in insecticide producing Bt and Roundup Ready corn.

In addition, sequences known to be present in Roundup Ready soy (which is engineered so that it can be doused in Monsanto’s herbicide of the same name) was present as well.

But as far back as the nineteen-nineties, people living near the plant have described noxious odors and corrosive effluents that have forced them to stay indoors, as well as what seems to them unusually high rates of illness and death. Speaking by phone from his home, in Sterlington, Louisiana, Guice pointed the finger directly at the mill’s owners, and described a corporate coverup of air and water pollution that he says is “poisoning” the predominantly African-American community.

Cornell Faculty Refuse to Defend GMO Crops

Who would have thought that at Cornell University, arguably the most highly regarded agricultural university in the world, no scientist would speak for the benefits and safety of GMOs?

What makes this event particularly noteworthy is that Cornell University is the home of the Cornell Alliance for Science, an organisation funded by the Gates Foundation and by agribusiness to the tune of $5.6million. The purported mission of the Cornell Alliance is to explain the science underlying biotechnology and GMOs. Yet the Alliance has refused to offer a speaker despite numerous requests from Robert Schooler the student organiser of the discussion. Neither, despite numerous direct emails, was Robert able to find Cornell faculty prepared to defend them. So he asked the Dean of its College of Agriculture, Kathryn Boor. She declined to find someone—though she “wished him luck”. Much the same applied to other notable public GMO proponents (Karl Haro von Mogel and Jon Entine of the Genetic Literacy Project). This usually vociferous duo initially accepted subject to funding. When it was offered they backed out.

Dr Stephanie Seneff – Deconstructing Bread: Chemical Reactions

We discuss the effects being linked with the chemical glyphosate that’s being sprayed on wheat crops, particularly on NON-GMO wheat, and with the synthetic form of folic acid being added to flour as a fortification, in many cases under mandatory government regulations. If you’ve found yourself or family members just getting sicker and unhealthier since about 2009, you want to hear this episode, but if you ever want to be able to happily buy regular supermarket bread again, maybe don’t listen.

GMO 2.0 Foods Coming Your Way: Will They Be Labeled?

Q: GMOs have been in our food for over 20 years but they have recently been changing. Can you describe what’s new?

MH: What’s new is they are using different methods to cut and change specific gene sequences. There are two basic types: gene silencing techniques such as RNA interference (RNAi) that can turn particular genes off; and gene editing techniques such as CRISPR, TALEN or zinc fingered nucleuses used to cut DNA in order to make small genetic changes or insert genetic material.

These methods are more precise than the old methods, but there can still be off-target and unintended effects. When you alter the genetics of living things they don’t always behave as you expect. This is why it’s crucial to thoroughly study health and environmental impacts, but these studies aren’t required.

Also, just because the techniques are different doesn’t mean the traits will be. The old method of genetic engineering was used mostly to make plants resist herbicides, and increase sales of herbicides. The new gene editing techniques will probably be used in much the same way, but there are some new twists.

Q: What GMO 2.0 foods are on the market now?

Non-browning GMO apples are growing in fields now and may be in stores next year. A GMO potato is in stores now but we don’t know where. The potato was engineered with RNAi to not turn brown on exposure to air and to produce lower levels of acrylamide (a carcinogen) when fried or baked.

Canola genetically engineered with CRISPR to tolerate herbicides may already be in canola oils. Synthetic biology vanilla flavor and stevia are also in products – these were produced using genetically engineered yeast – and they may even be marketed as “natural.”

Companies are not telling consumers these products are GMO; instead they are using terms like “fermentation derived” to describe ingredients made with synthetic biology. When you see that term on products, or a “non-browning” apple or potato, assume that means genetically engineered.

Nitrate Pollution in Groundwater Linked to Birth Defects, Cancers and Thyroid Problems

(Beyond Pesticides, October 6, 2016) According to a report published last week by the Iowa Environmental Council (IEC), the associations between elevated levels of nitrate in drinking water and health risks go well beyond the “blue-baby syndrome” and nitrate concentrations lower than the drinking water standard may be harmful through long-term exposure. The lead author of the report, Ann Robinson, Agricultural Policy Specialist at IEC, stated that the focus was on “significant findings that multiple studies have associated with nitrate in drinking water, including birth defects, bladder cancer and thyroid cancer.” Nitrate is a common groundwater contaminant that is sourced mainly from chemical fertilizers and animal waste.

Let’s have a closer look at this technology which makes GMO supporters feel so enthusiastic and has been positioned by them as the universal panacea solving all of mankind’s problems. Engineered food and your health: the nutritional status of GMOs

Glyphosate Found in Feeding Tube Liquid - 2015

"I have reviewed the lab report dated January 2, 2015 from Microbe Inotech Lab for Moms Across America and can tell you that your results for Pediasure Enteral Nutritional drink are consistent with our lab results of April 18, 2004 for soy based Enfamil ProSobee liquid infant baby formulas.

The Moms Infotech Lab report for ELISA glyphosate analysis showed 6 out of 20 positive IDs for Glyphosate residue in the product. This represents 30% of the samples which tested positive. The highest concentration found was in sample #5 which contained 111 ppb (parts per billion). The lowest detectable reading for milk-like products with this method of analysis is 76 ppb and the lowest amount positively detected in the Mom's lab report was found in sample #7 and contained 80 ppb.

These results, DO NOT necessarily mean that the other 14 samples were free of glyphosate, they may also have glyphosate, only at undetectable levels. These results only show those samples, that could be positively identified by the ELISA method of analysis. Had another method been chosen, such as HPLC-MS with a lower detection limit, possibly more samples would have shown glyphosate residue contamination. We know HPLC-MS testing is 3 times more expensive, but the ELISA results are quick and now show follow up testing is necessary, especially by government agencies who are supposed to protect public health and interests.

Your results and our results, both show measurable amounts of Glyphosate contained in infant formula products and this is most concerning. We found 170 ppb of glyphosate in Enfamil ProSobee liquid infant baby formula, so it will be interesting to compare this result when you receive the report for your infant formula samples.

Make no mistake about it, the levels of glyphosate found in these tests, are levels that do cause harm and damage to the microbiome which comprises 70% of the immune system. This will affect both present and future health. Glyphosate is an insidious, hazardous chemical which should have never been brought to market nor allowed to contaminate the food supply of the USA and that of the developing world.

The levels found in these lab tests, can cause irreparable damage to a developing child, as well as harm to an adult. After all, it is the bacteria of our microbiome and even greater, that of the biosphere which controls the destiny of all living organisms, from birth to the grave." -Anthony Samsel Independant scientist and co author of the Glyphosate Papers

U.S. House Committee Wages War on Finding that Monsanto’s Glyphosate/Roundup Causes Cancer

(Beyond Pesticides, October 11, 2016) Last week, in a calculated attack on the International Agency for Research on Cancer’s (IARC), the U.S. House of Representatives’ Committee on Oversight and Government Reform summoned the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to answer questions about taxpayer contributions to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) cancer agency. From reports, it is easy to gather that the committee has problems with IARC scientists’ findings that glyphosate, among other things, is a probable carcinogen. Led by Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), the hearing is clearly aimed at undermining IARC’s March 2015 listing of glyphosate as a probable carcinogen based on sufficient evidence of carcinogenicity found in laboratory studies.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that the U.S. government has tried to stifle scientific findings in order to its own position or that of the regulated industry. In 2015, one of the top entomologists at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) filed a whistleblower complaint against a federal agency, citing...

Deformities, Infertility, Disease: The Real Cost of Using GMO Animal Feed

Within a day or two of switching to non-GM soy feed, the diarrhea stopped (which had killed several of his pigs in the past), the pigs became calmer and the sows began producing more milk–and that was just the start of the changes he would observe in his pigs. In one month he noticed that the older sows which had never achieved and weaned more than 10 to 11 piglets per liter were suddenly weaning 14 strong pigs. He also found that the sows were in heat again in a shorter amount of time and ready to be inseminated. When they were fed the GMO soy, it would take several more days for them to be in heat–which would always result in fewer pigs the next time. The sows being fed the non-GMO soy were having fewer abortions and had a higher conception rate. Pedersen further observed more deformities in his pigs that were fed GM soy. His pigs also had more ulcers which he attributes to their consumption of GM feed.

DiNapoli: Organic farms growing in New York

Sales of organic farm products rose 56 percent statewide from 2008-14 with $164 million in sales that year, as New York ranked third nationwide in the number of certified organic farms, according to a report released by Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. In 2015, New York's organic sales rose another 35 percent.

"Organic farming is not a fad, but a robust sector of our economy," DiNapoli said, "As demand soars for organic and locally grown products, New York's farmers are competing at a national level and preserving our agricultural landscape."
