I trivialize nothing and as evident by the list of lawsuits they are mostly arrogant reruns of prior settlements and results of tribes violating the laws. If it were not for courts treating tribes as incompetent wards the cases would have been dismissed and their attorneys reprimanded for filing frivolous lawsuits at the start. That is the ONLY thing which is pathetic and inconsiderate. As for your lack of understanding of what great social advantages we as Americans have extended to them maybe you should attend a few citizenship swearing in ceremonies and ask the people there. http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/04/us/naturalized-american-citizens-ireport/ "No other country gives you the right to pursue happiness, and that is the right that I have grabbed firmly with both hands," Park said. "A lot of people complain about this country ... but try living elsewhere without all the rights that you take for granted. In some ways, we immigrants are the lucky ones; we see more clearly the opportunities that this great nation affords all its people." Immigrant: Becoming American doesn't mean giving up native culture Millions strive to become citizens and be afforded the rights, privileges and responsibilities scoffed at by those being handed everything for nothing and many have died with just the hopes of having that opportunity. Hardly the same can be said for those seeking tribal memberships. Unlike yourself and others I have never hidden behind a forum name or kept any secrets and I never accepted the premised one sided white guilt preached by the likes of Russell Means, Winnona LaDuke, and AIM of what someone 200 years old may or may not have done or not done. The only control and responsibility anyone has is for themselves in the here and now and those in the here and now are not responsible for the actions of those in the past. There is a considerable difference between being compassionate and being simple minded enough to accept guilt based on anything other than one’s own actions. And to base anything on race is racist in itself. There are those who check other. http://wecheckother.com/archives/category/race-2

Based on laws and Judicial OPINIONS of the past, I didn't have the right to vote or patronize certain establishments, What in the world are you talking about? The Civil War and following legislation changed this generations ago. Apparently you still have not a clue son. Look up the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which was 50 years ago. SMH The 1868 14th Amendment just couldn't get it right. Just to get you up to speed, the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution gave women the right to vote in 1919. I am aware of all that. There has been a lot on the news the last few days about the 50 years anniversary of the civil rights act of 1964. Are you saying there are still women in the US who are denied the right to vote? You can never say exactly what your complaint is. You just keep beating around the bush and playing games. You have learned a lot from Timbo lately it appears. I just don't know why I waste my time with you guys. It really bugs the hell out of you, that it's not just me who feels that you are often wrong on certain issues, doesn't it? So much so, that you apparently feel the need to resort to lumping together the shared opinions of many, in a clumsy attempt to discredit the sheer number of those who choose to point out the glaring flaws and contradictions in many of your conclusions. It's OK to be wrong from time to time.
