Nozzolio encourages veteran cemetery contributions

State Sen. Mike Nozzolio, R-Fayette, encouraged New Yorkers to donate part of their income tax refund or pay extra on their taxes to support veterans cemeteries.

"New York State taxpayers can now help to honor our veterans by supporting the New York State Veterans Remembrance and Cemetery Maintenance Operation Fund through a check off box on their 2013 New York State Income Tax form," Nozzolio said in a news release. "No contribution is too small and I am hopeful that individuals will consider supporting this important effort."

The Veterans Remembrance donation check off box will be located on line 60j of the Residential Income Tax Return Form IT-201. Nozzolio, represents the 54th District, including the Town of Lansing.

I do believe this is an honorable and just request. Maybe he can talk to King Cuomo and get some of that $100,000,000 he just promised for developing more of the "beautiful" Onondaga Lake projects!

just read the article in tonites Times regarding this. I think this is a great way to do this. Cripes even if you just ask for $10 from your tax refund to go there, think how much they could bring in, and $10 would be little for you, added together, a great deal for the cemetery.

I agree entirely! But many folks in this area have little extra "disposable" income, but Albany seems to think that dumping hundreds of millions of dollars on the shores of Syracuses lake front is the way to ignite some huge economic boom in CENTRAL NEW YORK. I just feel some of these taxpayers funds could be spent towards Nozzolio' s cemetery plans. Even support for a casino so would economically benefit this area. Maybe that's why Cuomo is directing those funds to the Syracuse area? They also want a casino.

Why should the taxpayers asked twice to pay for the unneeded cemetanry?

How much has Nozolollio paid for his legagcy stone?

I have never NEVER seen someone that spends more time on self promotion than doing his real job.

When the Ken Burns/Mike Nozzolio park was declared illegal Mike move across the street to the library for his name to be in brass infamimy. Too bad for the past Mynderse students and taxpayers that donated a higher percentage of their income to the Library.

Come om Mike DO SOMETHING????

Today starts a new opponent when Mike runs again. Brad Jones would be a good start.

Have you EVER said anything nice on the forums. So sad when someone is so mean spirited.
