The Wilmorite casino resort planned for Tyre will bring some 2,000 permanent jobs to Seneca county. We no longer need 150 summer time (many of them migrant workers) and less than 100 winter stinking, dirty, dead-end, rock-bottom , unskilled handout jobs that the dump has to offer. You can stop crying about your charity job now.

Tell that face to face to the ones that have the jobs now and provide for their families.

You are a coward

Hmm you were the one on my case about illegal mexicans and now you are putting down migrant workers. What a hypocrite? Don't expect anything less though from people like you! I thought you said the landfill was going to devastate the economy of this area. Another one of your dumb theories out the window!

Dr.,now that's one of your best replies. I can say at least they are working to support their family's. I'll bet in Seneca County there's more white folks on some sort of support program and it's not called a job. I'd see all summer long a man riding his bike cycle that lives up by Dove's farm and going to Trout's recycling yard to work every day in Waterloo. Now to me that's a man that wants to work. Then on the other hand you have young people that won't drive to Mickey Dees to work because they don't get paid enough. Just to many lazy people in the world that will take handouts before having a job. Makes me sick as hell.

So I say yes to any company that wants to bring jobs into this fine area. Yes to the Casinos.

Banks we do not need any more of them christ how many are there between Waterloo and Seneca Falls now. I liked to know where the banks are getting their clientele when there's no jobs in the area. Bars I'm happy to see less and less of them.

Not to mention I highly doubt anyone could support a family on a dump job. They are desperate unskilled charity jobs.

Never once did I say the dump would devastate the area's economy. I said the dump is the center point of this area's economy, and it is.

Does anyone really believe that the majority of the jobs that are going to be offered are going to be anything above minimum wage plus 10%, and not be part time to boot?
If you are comfortable with your wives and daughters pedaling drinks to the gambling crowd that rolls off the Thruway, and see it as a positive thing, God help Seneca County!

You might want to wander over to Turning Stone and ask those workers how much they make. NO ONE there even starts at minimum wage including the custodial staff. Casinos do employ part time help for busy weekends and events but part time employees do very well. A small percentage of workers are 'pedaling drinks' to the customers and those that do are making a nice living from the tips. Thanks for attempting to deny jobs to those that want them Scrooge.

You say this as though casino jobs are highly regarded and respected.

Casino proposals often tout big community returns in terms of local businesses benefitting from the traffic, etc. Read up on Salamanca when you get a chance. Take a look at Niagara Falls.

Never been to Salmanca but the area around casino in Niagara Falls is either boarded up empty houses and businesses or they are the slum area of Niagara Falls. Sickening to see. Bet they promised them growth to the area too.
