On the eve of Virginia's election for governor, a handful of new surveys conducted over the weekend confirm the result shown by every public poll since July: Democratic nominee Terry McAuliffe appears poised to defeat Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli.

He did it by saying he was willing to work with Dems. That is what we need instead of more TEA party radicals.

Funny how a even more angry White guy with Tea party support lost. even more funny, the GOP really despise Christie because os his Moderate stance but maybe that will be something you Conservatives need to take a closer look at in the future.....LOL

In order to win this race Dems had to fund a "Libertarian" candidate to split the conservative vote. I guess the ends do indeed justify the means.

I can concur, a maneuver the GOP is quite familiar with, did I mention the Tea Partiers which gave the Conservatives a short lived rebirth? Now we can conclude from yesterday's election results, even in spite of the Obamacare debacle, the Dems are still in a win-win situation and as always, the morning after cry babies from the Conservative side give their spin on why they lost.......once again, which in this case, the end is very predictable and justifiable.....the people don't care for the Conservatives as a whole.

NEW YORK — Bill de Blasio overwhelmingly was elected mayor Tuesday, becoming the first Democrat to lead New York in 20 years and ushering in an era of activist liberal governance in the nation’s largest city.

With 84 percent of precincts reporting results, de Blasio was trouncing Republican Joe Lhota, a protégé of former mayor Rudy Giuliani, by 73 percent to 24 percent early Wednesday.--------

Despite New York’s overwhelmingly liberal tilt, de Blasio will become New York’s first Democratic mayor in 20 years. He will follow the reigns of Bloomberg, a billionaire Republican-turned-
independent, and Rudy Giuliani, a law-and-order Republican who led the city as it recovered from the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Cucccinelli lost in large part because he was outspent 15-1. Republican establishment was so afraid he might have a chance that they cut him off beginning of October saying that the election was not winnable. Laughable considering that even without money and with a Dem planted Libertarian syphoning off votes he still came within 3 points.

Bottom line is the good ole Republican establishment would rather have a Dem win than a true conservative with Tea Party backing. Scares the crap out of them because they might loose their gravy train if Tea Partiers gain any more ground.

At this point and time, it's been proven that the Tea Party is pretty much a Dinosaur with a miniscule following. You as well as the Republican know this...why would the Republicans thus separate themselves from the likes of Ted Cruz and Rand Paul?

whats funny is watching Dums tout this election as a huge win.....the Clinton puppet had a double digit lead until the rollout of the ACA....he then had to bring in the entire White House and Clinton clan to get a 3 point win along with out spending Cuccinelli 15/1.....as much as the libs and MSNBC try to spin this, this was a referendum on "O" care.....remember the partial shutdown was temporary and "O" care is permanent....was it just coincedence that less than 24 hours after the election vulnerable Dums were at the WH trying to figure out how to protect themselves from the effects of the ACA and the Liar in chief?.....

I noticed yesterday that while in Texas "O" stayed away from the "if you got it you can keep it" lie!

What's REALLY funny, is watching people misuse words like "referendum".

What is also funny, the fact that the Republicans have offered nothing over the last 5 years but criticism & obstructionism but in that same vein, have offered very little in terms of a true solution to many of the current issues, for instance, a viable health insurance to replace the ACA. This has been their ongoing trend thus far. Like I tell my employees, if you have a problem, please come with a solution as well.

The last times I can remember the pubes offering a Health Care plan was close to 20 years ago when Bob Dole & Co. came up with something. You know... the plan we pretty much have now.
