The last time the Sox won the World Series in Fenway Park, the First World War was still being fought.
Lots of very happy friends back in my home town tonight.
No doubt about that J! History was made in grand old Fenway last night.
Here's a glimpse of Red Sox Nation's 'Charter Member'. What a great side story:
"When it comes to Red Sox history, Arthur DíAngelo need only tap his own memory. He has worked around Fenway Park since 1939, when he and Henry emigrated from Italy at age 12. They shined shoes, sold newspapers and ice cream, and in 1947 started a business selling pennants outside the ballpark.
DíAngelo hasnít missed a Red Sox home game in more than 70 years and is such a fixture at the ballpark that the team gave him World Series rings in 2004 and 2007."http://www.bostonglobe.com/business/2013...d8vK/story.html
