WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen village will initially install some 20 new speed limit signs in the next few weeks, weather permitting.
Police Chief Tom Struble explained, during the Monday, Feb. 4 village board meeting, the highway department will put up the signs in areas to inform drivers the speed limit has dropped from 30 miles per hours to 20 miles per hour....
Struble said they will look to put the signs up where it makes the most sense.
Trustee Anthony Fraboni suggested putting the new signs where it might be confusing for drivers.
