Irondequoit man charged with robbery in Wayne County

An Irondequoit man was charged Tuesday by Wayne County sheriff’s deputies with first-degree robbery.

Deputies said Joshua A. Colon, 26, of 5B Strathmore Circle, allegedly threatened to use a gun to steal money from a customer in the parking lot of a gas station on Route 104 in Ontario on Jan. 9. No one was injured.

Colon was taken into custody Tuesday after a short standoff with police at his home, deputies said. He was arraigned and sent to the Wayne County Jail without bail. He is due back in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
