Ithaca man charged with stealing snowmobile after Sheriff’s follow tracks

On December 26th, 2012 at 10:28 PM, Tompkins County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 8 Cayuta Vista Drive in the Town of Lansing for a report that a snowmobile that was just stolen from outside the residence.

The investigation began by following the snowmobile and foot tracks of the suspect from the scene which led to the arrest of David C. Abbott age 24 of Maple Ave., Ithaca.

Abbott was charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

After arraignment, Abbott was transported to the Tompkins County Jail where he waits his next court appearance unless bail is posted.
