BINGHAMTON — Police say a man is dead and an officer wounded after a police shootout in Binghamton.

Police tell media outlets that officers got a call about two suspicious men on a city street around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. When the officers located the men on the Memorial Street Bridge, police say one of the suspects opened fire and the officers shot back.

One of the suspects was killed and an officer was treated and released from a hospital.

No identities have been released yet.

Loc: West Coast 29 Palms 		Sad,sad,sad. But at least we only have to pay for one trial instaed of two. MHO they should of also shoot the other idiot to death.

Loc: Reality 		If he has any brains, he may have been running, by that point, and the officer can't just shoot him if he's no longer a threat, no matter how many of us would like to see him sent straight to Hell.

I'm very happy that the officers are okay, and, on a minor note, that we didn't have to pay for their funerals.
