Rose colored glasses and tunnel vision is what these folks work on. Some have never left the box.

I loved it all . . . especially looking through my rose colored glasses and keeping my box close at hand!

Don't forget the extra $10.00 for sister Janie! Heaven forbid that it's a way for them to make a living and bring joy to many. I waited in line (along with very happy, good natured fans) for over an hour for the opportunity to pay for a short chat and signed ornaments.

The great thing is that you didn't have to pay a penny to join in on most of the events. There were opportunities to meet and greet ZuZu without having to reach for your wallet. Based on the number of fans in town, I don't believe this "gig" has run its course. Over 3000 runners!

Over 3000 runners! How much money flow was created by all these runners?

I don't know. I believe that there was a registration fee and I heard that the money would be going to charity. I personally saw runners in the stores and food establishments. Some out-of-towners, who I spoke with in line ready to spend money for memorabilia and autographs, were staying at local hotels, motel, and B&Bs were also participating in the run. If you are truly interested, contact the IAWL Committee.

I think it's great for the town and the people in it. Do you really need to bash it?? It's perfect!

I hope you didn't mean to direct that response to me. I look forward to the event every year. Watching the movie has been an annual family Christmas tradition for FOUR generations now.

I can't see what is so wonderful about Seneca Falls! We're all going to die young from what we breath.

Well, a lot of people very well might die from that. You, FI, as you have the wisdom to know.

But, Christmas comes, and the season changes; the Great Wheel moves on, and we should focus on what's really the most important thing, which is my gut conviction that I'm going to have a very long life.

The V M Smith Memorial Parque may even have to be shelved indefinitely; it may turn out that I'm almost immortal, like some strange, mutant bacteria.

Don't laugh; it could happen. It's hard to guess, with me. Remember, I was born on Mars, and spent my 1st 25 years there, being raised by Martians, without human companionship, before returning, thus becoming the stranger in a strange land.

So, I can't exactly expect the rest of my life to proceed normally.

Happy solstice!

I have my lifetime pass to the VM memorial park already. It set me back $11.57. And that didn't include standing in line for over an hour just to get ticket number 111. You can't stop the park now, the wheels of progress are just a rollin. Maybe we can work something out with the now defunct Finger Lakes Boating Museum in Geneva ?

Hmnn...that is a big loss, and I feel responsible. The VMSMP is a gift to the people, and should not be even a minor burden on anyone.

However, due to newsman 38's constant fear mongering, I have reloaded the guns.

SO, we're in luck...we could cut right to the chase, if you'd like, and the Parque could open tomorrow. I'm not doing anything else tonight, anyway.

Really? It's been beaten to death? If that's true, why does the festival keep getting bigger and bigger and more popular every year? To the point that it's the town's biggest annual event.

Is your name unclealbert, or it is unclearalbert?

Wake up and buy a clue...

As usual, Lusi takes the thread off topic solely to make yet another in his endless and pathetic series of completely unnecessary personal attacks.

The "festival" gets bigger and bigger due to the 5K race. Those growing number of participants come and stay and that is the only reason it keeps growing.
