I drove past it last week, think I saw a sign "The Grogery" on outside. Assuming it`s going to be a bar or brewery?

It's being reopened as a bar called "The Grogery".

If thats the case, Then I would imagine that they are not hooked into any kind of city water yet, And the hotel is still hooked into the poorman well behind the hotel in the feild, The hotel was never on it's own well from the days way back when that the poormans owned it.

Yes , that what has been said they need a new sewer septic system dug but there is some dispute over the neighboring land as to where the line is. If the house next door owns the land then they have NO room to dig the system they need and may not be able to open. All that for nothing.

The second to last owner of the bar lives on the north side and owns all the property right up to the back parking lot of the bar. The old well is on the west side of the property on poormans farm land. I would say it's not sounding too ggod for them if they an't come to some agreement with the landowners around them.

Assessment is for land and building, not content or business good will. The Crow's Nest was recently bought for over $600K and is currently assessed for $425K. My point was that if the new folks at the Fayette hotel have $700K in the place then they would have been better off to buy the Deerhead (or even Red's that is also for sale for $250K and assessed for $80K) Wolffy's was purchased for $230K and is assessed for $280K even though a reliable source tells me that he has over $500K in renovations to the place.
