How about the $90,000 of tax payer money that went to trumansburgs fire dept for Ambulance coverage that was owed to south Seneca Ambulance? Or the fact that the residents of covert are being scammed into paying more for an ambulance that will be coming from tburg and not south Seneca. The response time will not make you feel safe. If you live anywhere north of halls corners road you will have to wait for tburg. Sounds great huh? Funny how the town meeting was called to sign the contact and guess who didn't show up? Nice job town of covert...way to look after your residents. _________________________ What is reality?

Let's see how many people die from cardiac arrest because the Ambulance from tburg takes to long to get to lodi covert town line road _________________________ What is reality?

As far as I recall, Trumansburg and South Seneca have each held a certificate for the Town of Covert for many years. A contract for ambulance service with the town is a business agreement. This is totally separate from a certificate of need.

Distance from SS Ambulance to lodi covert town line road: 10.1 mi, 17 mins Face it: The new ambulance service is closer to Covert than the old one. SS is located in the south end of Romulus, which is not an adjoining town to Covert and requires them to drive all the way through Ovid to get to anything in Covert. Tburg is located in an adjoining town and it's ambulance building is very close to the Covert/T-burg line.

What about the time to the north end of things in covert? If you will check, It will cost taxpayers in the Town of Covert much more than South Seneca was asking for in the contract. Two years ago, South Seneca Ambulance was asking for a total town contract of $23,000 dollors. Trumansburg was asking for $93,000. You do the math.Mr. Renyolds has done a great job saving the taxpayers money. The hole problem started with the town attorney and co-pay's. Trumansburg is, and has to by law charge co-pay's.

Trumansburg has some verg good EMT's and Paramedic's working for them as does South Seneca. Its really more of a political issue than a health care issue, and you know what happenen's when you let politicians run health care!
