Men fired long guns, robbed two victims at North Plain Street apartment:

Ithaca Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday night at an apartment on the 100 block of North Plain Street.

Upon arrival, police found evidence showing gun shots had been fired within the apartment, but authorities say there is no evidence to suggest anyone was struck by gunfire. Two victims told officers that two male suspects wearing masks and carrying long guns forced their way into the building.

One of the victims was hit in the head with the butt end of a gun, police said. The suspects took property and were last seen going north on North Plain Street in a red sedan with unknown license plates.

Anyone with information on this armed robbery should call either police dispatch at 607-272-3245, police administration at 607-272-9973, the Crime Stoppers Tipline at 607-697-0333, the Drug Tipline at 607-330-0000, or reach out to police on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ithacapolice or Twitter at https://twitter.com/ithacapolice.
