Seneca Falls man arrested for tatooing minor

FingerLakes1.com
5/7/12 @ 11:09 am

The Seneca County Sheriff's Office reports, Deputies arrested Jason C. DelPapa, age 27, of 288 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, NY. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred on 04/23/2012 in the Town of Tyre. It is alleged that DelPapa tattooed a female under the age of 18. DelPapa was charged on 05/04/2012 for one count of Unlawfully Dealing With a Child in the Second Degree. DelPapa was arraigned at the Town of Tyre Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $500 cash or $1000 secured bond. He is scheduled to reappear on 05/15/2012 at 5:00PM.

What is wrong with people???? I've seen work he has done on a guy that came into a professional shop to get fixed, it looked like someone handed a toddler the tattoo gun and said have fun, scribble, and color away!

I have no idea, she was with a friend who was getting one... i dont condone her actions but i also have an extensive history in the tattoo and piercing fields, and i had told her when she turned 18 she could be taken to one of my shops and i would pay for whatever she wanted. obviously being a teenager she didnt want to wait and had a horribly done tattoo put on her. It looked as if a two year old scribbled on her with a tack dipped in melted crayon.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. I am very happy with my tats. I was a wee bit older when I got mine, however.

If the tattooist was better at what he did, maybe he would not succomb to the pressure of patronizing minors.

I blame the girl for what she wore, and society for failing him.

That reminds me of one of my Uncles. When he was in the Navy he had his girlfriend's name tatooed on his arm. Then he got the Dear John letter. When He got out of the Navy he married my Aunt Betty and spent the rest of his life with another womans name tatooed on his arm.

What did Betty have to say about that?

I ask because I once made the mistake of being honest when a woman asked me how many other women I'd been with. Bad mistake. Ever after, she didn't miss the chance to sarcastically refer to herself as "Number 'xx'".

Aunt Betty was a pretty good sport but didn't talk about it much. At least not around the rest of the family.

I think getting anyones name tattooed on you is a bad idea. But i dont think if you have one girls name on you and u end up with a diff girl is cause for the new girl to be upset. Everyone has a past. But if its really an issue u can always choose to get a cover up. Alk the tattoo artists that ik wont put any names on anyone,, unless it is there childs name or a in memory of type of tattoo.

You don't think it's cause, but she might. Having a past isn't the same as being reminded of that past every time she sees the tat. She doesn't want you even thinking of what's outside the corral.

Yup!

I don't know many people who had tats done when they were young who are still really happy with them now, whether it's because of gravity, fading, change of tastes or partners...

I'm so glad that I waited, but I'm also glad that I finally did get one that really means a lot to me. Now I'm even thinking about adding to it!
